On reflection, you're right, it is. I've since possibly traces my issues to a third party app so I might just be loving the latest update too.
My main issue was with Illumination Bar - the light would keep flashing even after I've read the notifications. My only other issue is that battery seems to drain a lot faster than when I first received my phone.

Unpleasantly Surprised

I am very surprised that there are no custom ROMs for the ion. Its definitely a beautiful device with great specs. Hopefully now that ICS is here we'll see some. Any input??

This is not a question. It's a statement, about custom ROMs. ust cause the bootloader is locked doesn't mean we can't have ROMs. Obviously they will not be as in depth as we may all like them to be, but, they can DEFINITELY be better than Stock.
Sent from my LT28at using xda premium
I would have thought we might see some stock based roms but guess the devs are playing with other devices. I don't mind as much seeing as how both GB and ICS run great on the ion, don't think I would switch.

Once I see ICS I may just root and tweak the build.prop and such myself. But a nicely themed ROM, with a tweaker app would be cool.

I THINK I can make a custom rom for ion phone, but I don't know the phones deep spec (eg. Screen resolution, hdpi?mdpi?etc.) and I also don't own the phone yet...I learnt a little information about making a custom rom...

Today, LG announced the much awaited JB update for LG Optimus LTE II, G, Vu and Vu II.

Probably no LTE, but where I am I get faster speeds through WIFI. Which sucks since I have unlimited data and not enough speed to enjoy it.

You should be able to flash the I or AT radios with out a issue. We initially flashed the AT GB radio to the H ICS so I would think it still works.

WiFi is always faster than LTE right now. I mean 802.11n does around 150mbps, and if you have cable that's probably more than 50mbps.. 1 gbps if you're on fiber . Anyway, I don't think ever goes over 30mbps at the moment, so it makes sense that WiFi is faster.

Doesn't say anything about a delay just that the ion FW is to follow the S and those other devices which was always the case.
Yea the Ion is not delayed but more seems like they are waiting as to not overload the servers. The S and SL are older and I would think allot more where sold than the Ion so makes sense to roll it first. I would expect to see the Ion update go live on Monday but hey maybe sooner who knows. But we do know its finally happening so yeah for that.

I'm excited for updates on my N7....but pretty sure this phone will mostly run 4.1.2 as a daily driver til I get a new phone. Glitches are getting old for me personally .....and 4.1.2 is the last update we're officially getting.....and nothing later will ever be as good overall.
Just my opinion.....and again....mostly talking about stability.

I respect your opinion and am glad its good for you......but no denying that many other people have plenty of issues. You're just lucky!
4.1.2 basically has no issues...none that can't be solved easily anyway. I am pretty lucky too....4.2.2 has never given me any major issues....but one random reboot or lockup and I'm back on 4.1.2. LOL. I've had zero issues with 4.1.2.....none that weren't solved as quick as they came anyway. 4.2.2 still has the odd issue, and for some, 4.3 has many. Even official 4.3 on my N7 has ticked me off enough that its going back to 4.2.2 when I get the chance. And 4.3 has changed nothing on my N7....for me anyway. For some it fixed lag from 4.2.2.....but I didn't lag on 4.2.2. So why deal with 4.3 when I see no improvement personally.
All personal preference of course. Just for me, nothing has been more solid on my t989 than 4.1.2.
I understand fully that the majority on xda will live with a glitch here or there to be on the latest and greatest........just for me....I'm all about stability now. Tired of glitches.
But no.....I'm not getting an iPhone.....I still like to play with my phone....and iPhone won't let ya! Lol

Yes, I have used it many times since the first CM10.2 nightlies started coming out.It is buggy on my device, but it seems to be improving. Its got some really neat features. With time it will probably develop into a very nice camera app.Now you can just get it from the market and play around with it.:good:
