hi all!
I just unlocked my bootloader to root my one v, & I this is my first time
I forgot to backup my phone before I unlocked the bootloader, but I took out the microsd card
After the device was wiped and the bootloader was unlocked I went through the phone setup and put the microsd card back in but it didn't detect the data on the card. I put the microsd card into my computer and all the files from before were still on it
How do I restore the data to my phone???
Thanks in advanced
Hey 1st copy all your important data on ur pc.
Than format the SD card from pc.
After formating insert it again to ur phone and again format it from phone.
After doing this remove memory card from phone.
Place it on pc and copy and paste all data which you r copied to ur pc before formatting.
And after performing this, insert it back and dhantada ....
Your data will be back looking in phone...
Hit thanks if I helped you !!!

Search how to unroot your evo in 2 steps. And this isn't dev material. Q&A is where this belongs.
I believe you are looking for just the flash card? meaning the microsd card?
there are a few ways.
1. Pull the card out plug it directly into a computer, back up all data and then format it...then plug back into the phone and copy your stuff back.
2. plug the phone into a computer, transfer / backup all your sd card contents, go to settings sd & phone storage umount SD card, format sd card and put your stuff back.
I just know there is crap on this sd card that is a waste buy not sure what...

Great Answer....
bud if all you want to do is wipe the sdcard then fust go to throught the phone settings and do a memory card format. that will wipe everything of the card.
I was in the fastboot menu and deleted all my stuff and I was trying to fix a endless reboot loop so I can't get into it. I have a restore spot on my computer but don't know how to get onto the desire.
Take the card out of the phone, put it in a card reader, put the card reader in the computer, copy the backup to the card, take the card reader out, take card out and put out back in the phone.
If you don't have a card reader boot in to recovery, go to mount and mount the sd as mass storage. You obviously need a usb connection for this.

Yeah I figured it out and now I have it working. Thanks to all that helped
Search up EASEUS on Google. There should be a data recovery program on there which should help you restore erased item's.
Quick question:
I want to give my phone a clean up and want to know if it's safe to do the following;
1. Get in to recovery and do a backup
2. download back up to pc (full SD card copy to PC)
3. Format SD card (here's where i need help, what do i need to put back on the SD card from my back up? i.e Titanium backup anything else?
4. flash new ROM CM7 nightly
Anything else? whats the best way to format the SD card?
Thanks
James

Are they the correct procedure? What do i need on the SD card after the new ROM is on?
Thanks

I'd:
1. Backup apps you want the data for using Titanium Backup
2. Copy the contents of the SD card to your PC
3. Format SD card in PC using card reader
4. Copy back the data you want from original SD card backup to the clean SD card
5. Flash new ROM
6. Restore data from Titanium Backup

This is what i would like to get confirmation on, What do i need back on the sd card? Titanium Backup i assume, will the phone put what ever it needs back on if i format from the PC rather than the phone?
Thanks
J
I don't understand what you mean. If you copy everything from the SD card to your PC and then format the SD card you'll have a clean SD card. Then copy back the folders you need (Titanium Backup, photos, music, etc). The phone will then create the other folders it needs on first boot

Hi dear experts,
Wondering if someone can suggest me if there is any way to recover some picture files from encrypted SD Card.
The issue is that I'm having some problems with my phone connecting to the cell towers and I was trying to show to the Samsung tech support remotely, he ask me to factory reset the phone and I forgot that the SD card was also encrypted with some pictures that I'd like to save.
I red somewhere that some phones or Android versions use the Serial number + the encryption PIN to encrypt the storage, so I encrypt again the phone using the same PIN, then format the SD card, encrypt the SD card and then copy the files from my backup folder in my PC putting the SD card in my PC, copy the files on the PC then install in the phone but still the files are not able to decrypt.
The phone is using the latest standard Tmobile ROM 4.1.2.
Thanks in advance.
Guys,
I rooted my phone after unlocking Bootloader and following the process.
I did this successfully without taking a backup of my phone's SD card which I had formatted as internal storage. After the phone came back, I am not able to read any data from my SD Card. I have tried using multiple softwares to recover the data but it fetches raw data and saves the file in .SWF format, which I am not able to convert in images/videos/text.
Can someone please help as to what should I do here?
