Ok guys...the wait begins. Android 4.3 binaries are posted for toro, and as usual we are left imprisoned by Verizon for the official OTA. Let's hope they are moving on this, and the El Madhatter still has that wonderful test device.
Once there is a rooted ROM for maguro I'll ported for toro.

Slight correction... There are binaries for mysid (toro) available to the public, but 4.2.2 (JDQ39) is still the latest factory image set on developers.google.com... The wait is going to be pretty long as well - VZW has no history of timely updates, so don't expect to see the OTA until Thanksgiving at the earliest.
Like I said in the other thread, Sprint's version will most likely get the 4.3 update first, followed by Verizon a number of weeks later.
And, once AOKP updates their nightlies for 4.3....I'm updating.

The binaries ARE posted for VZW at https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/drivers#torojwr66v. You are correct in that there is no factory image available. The fact that binaries are available indicates that a build was completed and is now in the Verizon approval process.
I would build it, but I need a 64-bit PC.
EDIT: Never mind. I'll build it when I get home.
somehow I think Verizon will manage it to drag their feet for at least 6month from today (if that) before they release 4.3 for us..
Would the master key issue be a reason for Google to push the issue on Verizon for updating more quickly?

6 months. that's the wait. Verizon has always been late with updates. I would be surprised to see it before the end of 2013. but there will be roms available soon. This will probably be the last update for the gnex.

The Sprint GNex isn't an AOSP-supported device in the same way that the GSM model is. Even at that, the GSM images won't be posted until the GSM OTA is ready to go. Pushing to AOSP is a good indicator that the OTA is coming very soon, but they're not the same thing.
Pushing 4.1 to AOSP means that custom ROMs can really take off for toro (VZW) and toroplus (Sprint) devices. It doesn't necessarily mean they'll be getting OTAs any time soon though. Verizon and Sprint now need to work on the OTA and do their testing before you'll see it officially.
Awesome! Can't wait to see what's different between the Google io and the aosp they pushed! Yay!

Possibly. As far as I know Google really focuses on GSM hardware first. But they have a good relationship with Sprint so while you might not get it at the same time as us Maguro users, I'm betting you ToroPlus people will have it ahead of Toro users. And that really only applies to those who won't just flash it anyways

Sprint won't get these blobs
However, you can use all of them except the APKs (libs associated with them) and ril libs. I know, not very helpful
Edit: let me rephrase. I won't say never, because it could be added to AOSP at any time. Hence the placeholder device tree for it.

Truth. In actuality you are right and only time will tell. The reason why I get a good feeling about the Toroplus is that the way its seemed to me (and I could be very wrong) is that Sprint has let Google run the Nexus phones found on sprint when it came to updates. They even support Google Wallet when almost no one else does. It seems to me like Sprint is putting less obstacles in Googles way for Nexus (Nexii? Or is that the singular and Nexus the plural?) updates than Verizon is throwing up.
Again you are right and time will tell, but I just have a good feeling about it with the ToroPlus lol

Well, technically it's not out for AT&T or Verizon or TMO.
But it is officially out for Sprint now I think. Released a day or two ago from what I read.
But most or all of the GSIII's have 4.1.2 available via custom ROM installs.
Really? Your title can't be serious. 1. Your on XDA. 2. You made mention of CWM, so you know rooting. 3. One tab back leads you to all GS3 development - I'm assuming you found your nexus rooting info on here so you're well aware of how the site is organized.

As of right now, the 4.1.2 roms for our phone is adequate enough. Most 4.2 roms that are currently out for other GS2 equivalents still have several issues that need to be resolved or are in beta. In my opinion, it is much better to wait for a stable 4.2 rom to upgrade to from the current 4.1.2 roms.
So to the devs who are working on getting 4.2 to our T989, take as much time that's needed. It is better to improve a good rom than to fix a broken one, perfection is key. Cheers!
So wait. Are we officially on 4.1.2? I thought s2x wouldn't be getting it until the start of next year? Or was it 4.2?

IMO i think that 4.2 will be released which will be after the international version gets released and who knows when the international version gets released and it will take tmobile a couple of months to customize it so that they can release it for our devices so what i believe in is that when you guys finally hear news about the international version being released then i think you guys can post some threads that are accurate and not confusing most of the people on 4.2
Also on another note i think the thing you guys should put your hopes on is cyanogenmod 4.2.1 which still isnt as stable but for you people who are impatient
and like previously stated in this thread even when it gets released it still might not be a daily rom that you can rely on everyday to use to its full potential so sorry for anyone who got there hopes up

That link say nc4
Md4 Rooted Modded....... Flawless
Still on the update before 4.3. Never updated because of knox. I rooted and put the stock 4.3 rom on however unrooted due to some issues. Won't see kitkat till someone makes a rom. What's different from it and 4.3?

It's not official, yet, as it went from NC3 to NC4 yesterday. What it does mean is that big Yellow is getting ready to roll the release soon, since it's showing up on the device manifest.
The naming convention is:
N= year (2014)
C= month (March)
#= build
They are still smoothing it out, it won't be official till the OTAs start rolling out.
This thread is kinda pointless though, as there is already a thread on RDFs here-http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2117229

These RDF files just mean that they are working on new builds. The KitKat versions started showing up at the end of February. It's not unusual for it to take 2 to 3 months for them to work out the bugs and get the ROM ready for release. That would put the release into late April or early May if things go the way they have in the past. And yes this thread duplicates the existing RDF thread.
Yep, the RDFs could go for weeks or months before a final OTA is pushed. The better indicator is to watch the Samsung open source center, when the post updated source code the OTA should start pushing in a day or two after.

Yeah the 4.1.2 for the S2 didn't get released until build 27... Though sextape brought us a bunch of leaks so we got to test a lot of them out... Wish I had those kind of connections.
I came in here thinking there was an official kit kat rom

That would be improper! This section is "general", not development!
Good to know d2spr is going to get KK! Masaidjet remembers how crushed we were when Sprint told us we weren't getting ICS on the OG Epic...
