I'm sure but probably not official for a while. Verizon isn't exactly known for being quick with updates. That's why we have AOSP though.

So I wanted to return to stock, but now all I have access to is fast boot, with no OS on my device and it's no rooted, unlocked or anything. What do I do!?
You will need to flash back to the factory Google Image through fastboot. Check out the unroot guide to get the image and how to flash.
Remember to root and flash CWM afterwards.
Edit: Guess you don't need root or CWM if you want stock.

I tried that, for some reason I can't get it to work. Maybe the instructions are not clear. I'd REALLY appreciate if you can clarify them for me!
Here's what you do.
1. Extract the Google images to your fastboot.exe directory. You should have:
- bootloader-maguro-primekk15.img
- radio-maguro-i9250xxkk6.img
- image-yakju-icl53f.zip
2. Boot into bootloader and THEN plug in your phone
3. Run "fastboot devices" to make sure fastboot reads the phone
4. Type the following commands to flash all 3 images. Be sure to check your phone and wait for each command to finish.
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader-maguro-primekk15.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash radio radio-maguro-i9250xxkk6.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot -w update image-yakju-icl53f.zip

I have just tried to do a restore from a backed up rom using recovery and it wont go past the HTC logo screen.
I have wiped all settings but still no luck
Help needed please
Go into bootloader mode (vol down + power), fastboot, type 'fastboot erase cache' 'fastboot reboot-bootloader', and then reboot.
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
So you have re-locked the bootloader and have a stock recovery right? Try erasing the cache in fastboot.
I think the command is "fastboot erase cache" but I'm not 100% sure on the command.
NVM, UnlockedNand has got this one.
Cheers guys
just tried it and no go sorry

Flash a new boot.img according to the rom you are flashing. Superwipe, and then flash the rom.

This is the exact solution which worked. I was stuck after I unlocked my Sprint HTC Evo 3D via htcdev.com. I did these steps:
1. "fastboot flash boot boot.img" (extracted from Cool ICS rom)
2. Wiped everything including partitions using 4EXT
3. Installed Cool ICS rom
Thanks!!!
tried flashing jb hd revolution rom and now stuck here.
force restart takes me here and hold vol down does nothing?

You cant flash any JB rom because your hboot do not support them. Only the aosp roms probably work like CM10. I suggest you update your hboot first to JB
Do the fastboot command
Fastboot getvar version-main
Fastboot oem readcid
Post them back and i provide 2 options to update the hboot

You can do this :
Download this file
http://androidfiles.org/ruu/securek...Radio_2.1204.135.20_release_274900_signed.exe
Put the phone in the bootloader and lock it
Fastboot oem lock
It will reboot and there will be some warning sign in the bootloader, keep it there and execute the RUU from the PC with admin rights. Click the ruu.exe with the right mousebutton and select
Run as admin (or similar command)
Note : this will flash the phone to full stock. After the ruu you boot into the phone and check manually for updates to JB !
Second option :
Go here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1957376
Download the firmware package for your CID and rename it to firmware.zip
Put the phone in the bootloader and lock it
Fastboot oem lock
Then perform the next commands
Fastboot oem rebootRUU (bootloader reboots)
Fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
This will update the hboot only .....
After this you unlock the bootloader again and flash the custom recovery, flash the boot.img from the Rom and do a new clean install of the rom
I'm waiting for RUU to download
I let you know if I did it right
But Tanks Anyway

Download the IMM76I yakju package from here: https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images#yakjuimm76i
Unzip it and reboot your phone into fastboot mode, connect it to the PC, open a terminal and write:
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader-maguro-primela03.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash radio radio-maguro-i9250xxla02.img

fastboot -w update image-yakju-imm76i
fastboot oem lock (to lock bootloader)
fastboot reboot
Now it should be completely stock.

In order for you to get OTA updates, all these images on your device need to match: boot, system, radio, bootloader, recovery. So to get future OTA updates to install, if you are running JB and the JB stock kernel, you need to be running the XXLF1 radio and the LC03 bootloader, and the recovery that came with JB.

So to confirm, thus far I have flashed the stock Jellybean ROM. Is there a separate kernel that needs to be flashed, or was that taken care of by flashing the JB ROM?
I see that I need the new radio XXLF1, which I'll flash tonight. I see that efrant has listed two versions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27984443&postcount=1097; if I go through fastboot and temporarily flash CWM through fastboot boot cwm.img, which version should I use? I assume I would then use the CWM version? Otherwise, I would use fastboot flash radio xxx.img for the non-CWM file?
Is the PRIMELC03 - Source: takju JRN84D update bootloader the correct one? I don't see the LC01 that efrant mentioned in his post above? And I would flash using fastboot hboot xxx.img?
Last dumb question: After flashing the JB update, I still have the stock recovery...this doesn't change, correct? In other words, I can leave it as is and now that I have the stock ROM, Radio, Bootloader and left the recovery alone, I should be 100% updated to have OTAs again?

Ok, thanks. I apologize for being so cautious, but I really want to understand how to do everything from fastboot as opposed to flashing through CWM. I would prefer to keep a stock recovery and stock files for now.
Could someone confirm that the following is correct?
1. Flash new radio: Download the .zip and EXTRACT into folder that contains fastboot.exe
Run Command:
fastboot flash radio xxlf1.img
2. Flash new bootloader: download the .zip and EXTRACT into folder.
Run Command:
fastboot hboot LC03.img
3. Stock recovery is kept in place after flashing JB ROM (red exclamation mark with Android on his back)?
4. Stock Kernel was flashed over with the JB ROM as well?

Download the XXLF1 radio and rename the image xxlf1.img (for simplicity);

Cool I already have JB. Fastboot is still the recommended way, right? At least in my N1, NS days it was supposed to make sure files were flashed successfully whereas CWM couldn't verify it. It just flashed files and you'd find out after a reboot. Is that still the case?

That was certainly true for the N1. Samsung devices are a little different, and not as easy to brick. I guess you are "safer" with fastboot, but it doesn't make much if a difference on Samsung.

I had read somewhere that if you boot into recovery in the phone's memory instead of from the partition, the recovery will be able to write to the boot partition - so no need to flash the boot.img separately.
I haven't tested this myself, though.
