I tend to have my emoji blank especially in the notification bar and at times in my sms. I'm rubbing deTmobilized with the AOSP mms. And the emoji keyboard it shows everywhere else but blank in those areas. It just tends to annoy me is there a quick fix for this?

Anybody have an answer for my biggest annoyance with my SGS2?
I am using Handcent for messaging with Swype - whenever Swype suggests a word it actually kicks the message panel UP a line. Sure, it really doesn't change the INPUT since that is on the keyboard, but when you are trying to go the message panel and tap or move the cursor, it really messes you up.
Anybody know how to move the word suggestions up to the TOP of the message panel or even KEEP the extra line open and blank instead of moving it around all the time?
Thanks!

Yeah, this is driving me crazy with this phone...anytime I'm txting, right now while posting to xda, the text box jumps up one line then down then back up.
It seriously is making me seasick..lol

anybody have any help on this?
You can always install the newest version of Sywpe. Had the same issue and installed a themed version of Swype and it doesn't do the realignment of the page after selecting a word.
Install the latest version of Swype through the installer and that fixes it. That annoyed the crap out if me before

Will installing the Swype beta overwrite our current version?

Yes it will.
I know, I know everyone has been saying that they are getting blurry mms's that's not what my question is about.
As per the suggestions I installed the cm messaging:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20738522&postcount=4027
After installing the app, the messaging icon appears on the home page and not in the bottom in the Dock with the "Phone", "Contacts", and "Application". Just wondering how to get it down there?
Also whenever I get a new text message and/or e-mail my lock screen doesn't turn on, and there is no Event Notification to unlock the screen and go immediately to either the text messaging app or the e-mail.
If someone could let me know how to fix these concerns or direct me to where I would be able to find the answers, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Go to drawer and hit the menu button, there should be like a edit function

Go to your app drawer, change view to customizable grid, then edit, now just drag it down

Awesome thank you for you're help. Any ideas about the other issue?

Hey all,
Just thought I might throw the idea out there, would it be possible to create a continuum style notification either in place or over the menu buttons at the bottom? That would be pretty interesting.

I'm not sure what this is, could you describe it?

its that small second display across the bottom. it shows news updates, text messages, RSS messages, facebook posts etc.
and im with you OP, this could be cool
Something that could be toggled easily (say a button opposite where the small menu button appears) that is always up. This way you have notifications/new messages and still retain easy access to your soft buttons.
It could display last X number of Facebook messages, or G+ posts from selected contacts, or twitter posts with certain tags.

This is an interesting idea. It would be redundant in normal use, but when notification bar is hidden (i.e. full screen browsing, games etc.) it would be cool to see notifications pop up on the nav bar.
I'm just not a huge fan of the notification bar, and with the new .zips to hide the bottom buttons it leaves room for this

Fun fact the second screen is actually part of the main screen

On the continuum?

Or perhaps turn the nav bar into a "dock' that you could slide and have a notification ticker as one of the things you could add to it

Another idea would be for the MIUI style pop up notification and have it appear over the nav buttons
My words with friends and scrammble with friends notifications have turned to a white icon of the game. Is this suppose to be like that. I remember the icon was colored not white. Anyone else have this? Runnning ff02.

After the JB update, the SMS/MMS notifications either don't show up, or disappear before I can click on them from the notification pull-down.
Anyone else experience this and have found a fix?
I experience it. No fix as of yet.

Using Sliding Messaging. No problems It's just a little slow to start and if you have too many messages in there, it gets wonky. Delete, delete.
