i need rom for my htc desire with htc sense to install htc apps
i tried cm 10.1 v4.2.2 it was without htc sense
i need rom that can play htc weather widgets and teeter and that other awesome htc apps
Start here, or here
Plenty for you to choose from, pick one with SENSE in the title
A lot of the widgets can be replicated, there are also similar games. All without HTC sense, but I admit I still miss some things about those ROMS. Up to you
cant u tell me what is the best one for u ?? (with sense )

i tested many of them like paranoid 4.2.2 and cm10.1 and many others but without htc sense
Why Sense.....?
That's exactly the first thing I nuked when I got mine. Sense ROMs are heavy and too hectic to use. Plus lags are an order.

I'm using RSK Team's Sense 3.5 ROM for Stock HBOOT. It's the best sense i've ever used.
You may download it from here directly or check out the RSK Team blog here.
Edit:
In the RSK Team blog search for "RSK_v.8.2.0_SatteliteRosie_Stock.Hboot.Ed.". There are versions for CM7R2 HBOOT as well, but I would recommend you this one for stock HBOOT.
ty so much

If you hate cm7r2 hboot then you don't understand what it is....it has a smaller system size and larger data partition, i.e. more space for apps. many roms can be flashed with it.
You are on the stock hboot. It is very limiting for space, as it has such a small data partition (147MB) i.e. the same size as before you even rooted! Even with A2SD, app data normally stays on the /data partition. With a lot of apps, this can fill up and you can still get 'low memory' warnings.
As for A2SD itself, it varies per ROM, you need to check each thread to see if it is already built in, or activate it via terminal commands, or flash some other compatible script.

I installed a froyo based rom to my HTC Desire . I thought that when i install a rom , the htc sense will remain same. Is there a mod to have htc sense on this phone?
No, nope, and not a hope.
Why ? By the way do you have a HTC Desire rom adviice to me ?

FroYo is stock Android and HTC haven't developed Sense to work with it yet. They'll release a Sense-based FroYo ROM once they're ready
There are some alternate apps that replace alot of the sense stuff, the only thing im really missing is the sense camera, do some searching on the apps forum and you can find alot of stuff.
if you miss sense that much, downgrade to a 2.1 rom, alot of good ones out there. I prefer to stay with froyo (even with the current flaws that still need to be fixed) due to the speed increase and flash
Hi all, I have HTC desire and I am constantly running out of internal memory I am going to root the phone to solve this. I am a complete noob to this so which custom ROM would be easy to install and stable out of the following Cyanogenmod7, LeeDroid 3.0.5 or MIUI ROM, Thanks
Id try the cyanogenmod or miui.
Cyanogenmod 7 or Gingervillain plus CMHBOOT(from alpharev.nl) can solve your problem I think
Thanks for replies jroc716 & plohoi. I will have closer lock at the ROMS ye have recommended
all these rom's r running fast and stable. internal-memory problems had gone by integrating ext-partition(s). so which rom u take is just a matter of ur personal favors.
I have had look at the ROMS suggested in this tread and I am going to flash MIUI Rom by xavierjohn22 but not sure which version is most stable. Should I flash the froyo version (2.2) or 2.3.4 gingerbread (latest version) or 2.3 gingerbread. . I be grateful for any help on this, thanks
1st of all you better obtain an SD Card at least Class4 then follow the guide with the link I will give below. This will help you move your applications to SD and have more space.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1016084
And as a ROM Choice, better use InsertCoin
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1016940
Thanks alpivelopx for the reply. Ya I have class 4 SD card and I have carefully studied the noob proof guide just can’t make up my mind on which rom to flash.
I likr the look of MIUI have any experience using this rom? Which version is most stable?
I have had a look at InsertCoin and having the new Sense would be cool.
I use google maps a lot and assume this bug “compass doesn't always point north” will be a problem. Is there a stable Froyo version?

At first: One cannot say, which is the best rom. It's a personal feeling. You should read the posts where the authors describe there themes and then you should decide. If you cannot, just try one. If you like it, stay with it.
I think you should install the latest version of MIUI. It's usually the most stable version.
I cannot find a (stable) Froyo version of Insertcoin. Maybe ask the author (baadnewz) if he can upload it for you.
Thanks Matdroid, I think your right. I'll try a few roms and decide which is best for me.
I can recommend Leedroid 2.4.1.
A very good and stable Sense rom with A2SD+!
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
Like others have said... it's more of a personal opinion with ROMs as to their speed and usefulness but if you can get by with the compass issue until it gets resolved (hopefully shouldn't be too long as devs are working like crazy at porting sense 2.1/3.0 to desire) I warmly recommend InsertCoin.
The chef is pushing updates like there's no tomorrow an also makes time to answer people's questions (how he manages it I don't know...) and also you have all the info you need in the first 2 post of the thread.
Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1016940
PS: regarding speed, keep in mind that benchmark apps (Quadrant) don't tell the full tale. Try the ROMs for yourself.
I second leedroid 2.4.1..... fast and stable with a2sd+. I wouldn't bother with gingerbread yet still a bit buggy
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
+1 on leedroid 2.4.1
My first not-htc-rom was leedroid v.3.0.5. It was nice. But since a while i use redux v1.2. I like it much more than leedroid, although you have to readjust a little to use a non-sense-rom.
The best froyo sense rom is the InsertCoinHD 2.0.1 Data2Ext.
The best gingerbread rom is InsertCoin v25 CM7.
Keep in mind that Cynogenmod and Miui don't include Htc Sense on it.
I've been using on Leedroid (froyo) for sometime and it was great and stable.
I'm running now Insertcoin v25 (gingerbread) and it's also great. I got 2 issues that I can live with - the compass issue (not pointing north) and the camera makes my phone boot itself sometimes. but other than that it's great.
Both roms have a2sd+, and if you want something stable than I recommend Leedroid 2.4.1. After some time you can get gingerbread roms based on the official release from htc (something like mid-june or a bit later)
Hi
Hmm running out of internal Space *gg*
I Recommend you use InsertCoin, or an ROM Which fits on CM Hboot, Here is the System Partition smaller, difference space is added to userdata, so "more internal" Memory for you.
Pls. Think if you change your SD Card, or crash of it, your OS Cant booting because 1/3 of our System is stored on it. (sdext)
S-Off required.
If you don´t want to manipulate hboot (afraid of crashing bootloader), use any App2SD Rom.
I have many Problems with DATA2SD and DATA2Whatever Scripts.
App2SD is very good.
*I User Insertcoin GS_V26* and i´m happy with it.
Baadnewz is providing these Rom with STock or CM Hboot.
Just Look at a few Roms, (Download 2-3 Roms and test it) an fix install it, which you mostly like. ))

@MindVision1Thanks for the reply. I am right in saying the Hboot resizes the internal memory to allocate different amount of space to the system. You can get different hboot's from http://alpharev.nl/ so I am right in saying the cm hboot you recommend is the Bravo CM7 on alpharev site.
So If I go with the CM Hboot I have to get a custom rom that fits the 130MB system memory and will also have 300MB free for apps on the internal memory.
If some of the rom is on the sd card and I remove it or it gets damaged I will have a major problem?
How do you know what size a ROM is?
My desire is stock with no branding

Better wait for the official 2.3. I am using Cyanogenmod 7.0.3 Stable, but there is issue with call delay and mobile data connection problem. Now I am waiting for 2.3 official
I am running Insertcoin from around last 2 months and frankly speaking i never had any issues with the ROM. U can give it a try. U can get the rom from my signature.
Note: I never use HD recording or Playback on mobile, so i have never tested these functionality.
Yes, InsertCoin stable 1.0.8 seems to be bug free.
I used it also since about 2 months.
RCMix S v. 2.0.1 snm.
Try http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1113070&highlight=Recent+Apps easy to install.
For me AcesMod007 v24
Tried all roms but this one stands to be most stable and fast...
Leedroid is good too but battery hog.
Insertcoin is not bad but slow compared to acemod007.

From my personal experience I can highly recommend oxygen. It's a very clean and stable rom and I get a great battery life. Before using oxygen I tried leedroid, rcmix s, miui and redux. They are all nice and fast, but I really like the cleanness of oxygen and redux. I would have stayed with redux, but the developer did not have any time for further development for nearly two months, so I changed to oxygen. But I cannot see a big difference between redux and oxygen.
Ive tried loads, but an issue that kept recurring was depletion of internal memory. Therefore for the desire in my opinion the best roms are ones that allow data2ext or data2we which tricks your phone into thinking it has the internal memory limit you choose. I like gingerburst, a sense Rom since the whole thing is easy to set up and is stable. Just Google it and follow the instructions on the site
Cyanogen 7.0.3 works with the data2we. zip. If you don't like HTC sense, and is my close second Fave Rom

I'm running Leedroid 3.0.8.2 a2sd+ and loving it. No bugs found yet...

Hi folks,
I am still having trouble with all the custom roms now and then. I am fed up with testing roms every month. Just want a device that is reliable!
Therfore I am looking for a rom that combines the essential advantages of the community efforts with the quality of the carefully tested stock rom. Only the option to maximize the memory for some more apps and AdFree are a must have.
The features should be as following:
- Stock 2.2 (Froyo) or 2.3 (Gingerbread) original Desire-Base from HTC
- rooted
- A2SD support
- Cm7r2 hboot compatible
- AdFree capable
Is there any rom out there that can provide that?
Thanks for your help!
Max
Roms that are close:
Rooted 2.2 with A2SD but no CM7r2 - possible to modify for CM7r2?
That query could be answered if you bothered to look in this thread, stock roms are Sense 1.9 so you could browse for those fitting the description.
This is probably closest to requirements.
Virtually any rom can be shrinked to CM7r2 using this guide.
yeah, I already saw that list, but none of those roms is for CM7r2 hboot. This would help to reduce the amount of apps that need to be moved to /ext

You got the concept wrong. You have to do nothing for apps to go to ext.
Rom I linked fits into CM7r2. Any rom with /system <=145MB fits CM7r2.

Hey guys,
thank you for all your suggestions.
Now I am happy with An-Droid, as erklat recommended.
Data++ hboot
An-Droid Rom
WidgetLocker for lockscreen with ring (because the lockscreen was one of the main reasons I switched to custom roms with sense 3.0)
Howdy folks
I say this is a guide, this is my experience recently with this ROM.
I have been faithful to this rom as I loved it in development and have never really found one to replace it. I also know dev ended for this early last year.
My main gripe with it was it was prone to lag during general use, transistioning screens, loading apps etc. One thing that annoyed me was the poor gaming performance, ( Temple Run was a waste of time trying to play).
I have tried updating many things to make it better, here's a summary of my current configuration:
desire Amoled
S-off
cm7r2 hboot (however the difference to stock in performance was none existant)
1gb ext4 partition (I never found any difference with the different types).
RunnyMede AIO v6.0.4.3 SE with int-sd.( not a given though, i bet it works on other A2SD set ups)
At this point the phone was alright. I tried pulling out loads of unused apps using titanium backup, cleared dalvik cache and rebooted, still no great change.
I then downloaded "System Tuner" from the app store by 3c.
If you intend to follow me any further, please do a full NAND before doing anything, cheers.
I then ran it up and gave it root,
IMPORTANT BIT
I selected SYSctl and set it to "recommended".
Seriously, dropped back on to the home page and my phone felt like it had stopped wading through mud!
I can now play temple Run 1 and 2 , which means my phone improved ( I can't be bothered with benchmarks, this is the difference between unusable and playable).
It still lags on the first run, but second go is very smooth.
If you aren't happy with the change reboot and it will go back to normal or do a NAND restore, else go into boot settings and set Sysctl to "on boot complete" and the setting will persist.
Sometimes the phone tries to lag, so I go back in the app and hit recommended again.
I have no affiliation to the app or the ROM, I am just a dedicated user of this ROM, and wanted to share my experience of this app. This has made me decide to continue with my old desire instead of upgrading for another 12 months.
Did u try different kernels? Also the v6.0.4.3 dont have INT2SD only v6.1.1 has it. If u have the v6.0.4.3 then ur probably using "ad2sdx" which lags after a while so i would suggest changing to the INT2SD-S version, its better imo, smoother and didnt lag for me and i was using a kernel by droidzone -
Kmods wifi_sensorplus
Plus RSK Team have just released a new sense 3.5 rom called

And its very good, maybe worth a try out. Im like u, Runnymede aio was my favourite rom for a long time

That maybe it, I can't remember I know the dalvik is now on the SD card. I couldn't find that Kernel, I'm currently on the one it came with: 2.6.35.10 EBfixTP2WcLsSma. I couldn't see the Kernel you refer to on Droidzone's site, have you got a link?
I've tried RSK 5 or 6 times, but its just not quite right for my use ( something about the styling and usability just grates me), were as AIO was alwas spot on, I've also tried to force myself on ICS JB and MIUI, but they all fail in one way or another.
This is why I felt I'd share my findings with this app as I doubt I will ever come off this rom now, the only thing that was making me doubt it was the lag, but now I've fixed it I have no complaints with my phone bar the 5 minute boot time.
In my sig theres links there, the 1 im using is in "Kernel Repo" but have a look in "Droidzone" and make sure its sense 3.5 compatible.
