[Q] hyperdrive rom voicemail problem - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

I have the at&t galaxy s3 with the hyperdrive rom.
when i try to call my voice mail by either holding 1, *86, or clicking the button it calls 911 instead of my voicemail.
when i look in my call logs it shows my number as 11(***)***-**** but actual numbers with 2 extra 1s in the beginning.
has any one had this problem? or no how to fix it?

Same thing but it says it can't be completed

You can push another secphone.apk to /system/app and it will work. Also have you tried to go into voicemail settings and manually input your voicemail number ?

Not sure on your carrier simple mobile but with at&t I used just my phone number without the 1. That ported rom might be using the Verizon SecPhone.apk and not the at&t version it needs.

Pretty sure if you open your phone dialer, hold down the menu key and you can go into your options.. In there, u can choose the number for your voicemail...simply input your number with area code and good to go!

You need to deactivate GV if you want VZW voicemail back.
Sent from my ADR6350 using XDA App
i had done all of that as stated
*73 was supposed to be the deactivation code for VZ how ever i was only getting an error
the answer for me was
*900 and
*920
i both of those and it worked like a charm. you have to end the call fowarding and those were the only codes that worked
but i thank both of you for your help and suggestions.

SMS Problems

Hi guys,
I have a GSM Galaxy Nexus running stock 4.0.4
Recently my Nexus has failed to send any texts. Everytime I try, it just says "Message not sent." I can receive texts, just not send them. Everything else mobile network related is fine, including data, phone calls, and the like. I was just wondering whether you guys would know anything I could do.
Thanks a lot,
Zengster6474

Sprint, Google voice and touchwiz

Has anyone figured out how to make it work? In voicemail settings there is no option to select Google voice to handle voicemail.

I think you have to call *28 and your Google voice number... in the setup it tells you. Works fine for me

Thanks. I tried that last night nut calls were still being directed to sprint voicemail. I tried again this morning and it seems to have worked.

So, nevermind. It's actually not working. When I call from an outside line it takes me to Sprint VM not GV. In the past every phone I've used has an option in phone settings to use carrier VM or GV. The SGS3 does not have this option so it seems I'm stuck using Sprint VM until CM9 is made available for this device.

When you installed GV, did you dial the long *number to provision it for your sprint number?

Hey guys tried seething this up and having the same issue. I dial the full *28xxxxxxxxx and it still goes to sprint not GV.
I'm only using GV for voicemail not to make calls.
Any other suggestions ? I went through the faqs too and no luck.

Sorry, got a little busy this afternoon. Anyhow, if you log into your Google voice account from your computer, you will have an option to set up gv from there instead of the handset. You'll be asked if you'd like to use your gv number or carrier provided number for your gv account. Once you go through those steps, set up gv on your phone and it should work. If it still doesn't work let me know and I can log into my account from my computer and tell you the exact process in a step by step fashion.

*GET PAYED* Native verizon voicemail on sprint s3

Hello,
I have a flashed sprint s3 to pageplus. All the features work expect voice mail notification. I tried 3rd part apps they either are really bad and delay the voicemail notifactions sometimes a whole week or drain the battery. What I want is someone make or just give me the file for the native voicemail for the s3. I will pay for this, I use this phone for work and get atleast 5+ vm a day and I need to be notified. Thanks.

Thanks for the help so far, installed it and its a no go for verizon voice mail so far
Maybe start using Google voice if you don't find a fix soon. It will notify you by email and visual voice mail at the same time. It also doesn't use carrier notification for voice mail so you should be getting new voice mails almost instantly.
I don't know if page plus or verizon integrates with Google voice like sprint does

Scratch that it half worked, its in my apps and i can go in it and tells me the up to date notifications however when i receive a email it doesnt notify me still, i have to manually check the app. any way around this?
I did some searching around Google for information on getting page plus VM working and most answers i saw people used a app for VM. I seen someone say the reason for your problem isnt the phone, its the number.

Visual voicemail

Howdy,
I just switched to T-Mobile today with a new G3 and ported over from Verizon.
I am having a problem getting the visual voicemail to work. when I try to use it, I get a unable to communicate with server error. This was happening on my wife's LG G3 too, I setup my regular voicemail just fine.
Anyone else having this problem? Or do you think it could be something to do with the porting process (everything seems to have ported fine)
Or any other suggestions (besides resetting my phone, I will try that last, but would like to not have to set up everything again)
Thanks!
Use Google voice way better

How are you using google voice? On my handset, I have it all set up as I should, but the "Voicemail Provider" option within call settings is greyed out, I cannot change that to google voice.

Keyword there is "showing."
It's Google Voice. Call your phone from a different phone to confirm and you should hear your Google Voice greeting.

You can also call T-Mobile and have them do the following:
--Disable Voicemail on your line
--Setup the forwarding number to be your Google Voice number
You can also setup the forwarding yourself the be the Google Voice number. After doing this, even if I don't install GV after a flash, the calls still go to GV voicemail and whatnot.
