[Q] Problem after using teenybin to unlock my optimus g - LG Optimus G (International)

Hi everyone. I recently used teenybin to unlock my bootloader. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2249500&page=5 is the original link. Now, everything worked and i have twrp recovery and unlocked bootloader, but my phone will not start. I can enter fastboot, but I have no clue what I can do with it since there is no useful roms on my internal storage to flash. Also, i can enter download mode, but when i try to use the kdz method to restore my phone to stock, it wont work also because it says phone not found or disconnected in the middle of the process. If anyone can tell me where to go from here, please do. thanks guys.

Q: I don't have a rom .zip on my /sdcard so how can I flash a .zip?
A: Use adb while in recovery mode to push a rom to the phone. Google is your friend... look into adb push or adb sideload.
Q: What is adb?
A: Get out!

Well, good for you buddy.i don't know why you people like to complicate simple things.easiest way to unlock is tonuse freegee, after you rooted the phone.

[HELP] tot file for F180K for lgnpst

Hi everyone,
I really need your help, I need a tot file for F180K so that I could return to the official stock version.
So dump of me, I flashed KDZ to convert it to E975 but i don't get a network signal anymore. I flashed back to korean rom, f180k20g (jb version) but to no avail, still the same. If someone kindhearted would generously provide a tot file for this device, I would greatly appreciate it.
P.S.
Thanks to the guys at the forum, I learned a lot from you.

Hi,
I have the same problem with the mobile network. Now I try to download the new F180K201_00 and I'll flash it hoping that it helps....
But I have a copy of F180K10H_00 that suit you.
But a question. Did you try factory hard reset and wipe? Did you flash the right baseband?
Ciao

Yes i tried factory hard reset only. I don't know how to wipe. I already tried F180K20G firmware but it is still not working. I haven't flashed any baseband because there is no available baseband img file yet for F180K. I already tried to flash anything from E97510a philippines or 10b HK version but still not working. I hope someone can provide a tot file so that we can boot back from scratch.
EDIT:
The only thing that I regretted is that I didn't back up the efs partition before I flash. If only I have learned about the freegee stuff earlier.

Hi I just found the baseband for all F180 models in a Vietnamese website, there is a file .bat to execute for all models.
Source:http://www.tinhte.vn/threads/optimu...p-root-recovery-up-rom-4-1-2-fix-loi.1816719/
I droped the file on mediafire here: http://www.mediafire.com/?qbnu22y4sx7kf0n
I hope it works.
Wipe is easy with adb.
C:>adb reboot recovery
then waiting....waiting... waiting (it takes long times, also more than 10 minutes
If someone need F180K10H_00.kdz i can upload it. Tell me only where I can copy it....
You can get the KDZ from here: http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=20

Yeah I tried it already but it's not working. Probably I need to erase everything first, CACHE and SYSTEM. How do I get to fastboot mode on the phone? Pressing Volume down + power only brings me to Factory Reset Mode.

Yes bro, I think I need the ICS kdz first so that I can unlock my bootloader using the freegee. I can't unlock it using the freegee-beta for JB. I already tried the adb reboot recovery, factory reset, still nothing. Appreciate it bro if you can upload it.
I just convert my F180K to E975 EU , rooted the phone and flash the baseband , all is OK :good:

I think you do not have to have s-off in order to unroot your phone.

That doesn't help a lot you know, seems people have varied definitions of what it means to be "rooted"
If I should go by what I know happens in order to use the SuperSU app then the reverse would be.
Unroot - Open SuperSU, go to settings, scroll down to "Full unroot".
Stock Recovery - Go to this thread and select your stock recovery version.
Once you found the version, download it, extract the zip file and move it(recovery.img file) to the adb/fastboot folder(You MUST have used this method before in order to flash custom recovery in order to root your device). Once you moved it to said folder, open a command prompt from within that folder >>> hold shift, right click and select "Open command prompt/window here".
Connect device to computer, type in adb devices to make sure your device gets detected. If it shows your serial number all is good, type in adb reboot bootloader to boot into bootloader mode, once your done booting into HBOOT, type in fastboot flash recovery name_of_recovery.img For the love of all that is holy, REMEMBER TO UNZIP/EXTRACT the .zip file you downloaded!!! before doing this.
Once that is done type in fastboot oem lock to lock the bootloader again, this will "relock" the bootloader and will show as such. Once that is done, type in adb reboot to reboot the device back into the OS and you're done.
Though I don't see what the point is really, mic problem is most likely as a result of hardware failure not software and as such they can't try and put the blame in your shoes because you unlocked, flashed custom recovery and rooted your device.

i deleted the su folder and everything from twrp
i still cant update my phone
when i do that it takes me to recovery mode
So you have rooted your phone and installed a custom recovery(twrp) and are trying to return everything back to stock because you have to send the phone in for repair, correct?
If so, all you have to do is to unroot and flash the stock recovery back. Just follow the directions in BerndM14's post. OTA updates require that you have the stock recovery on your phone. They will not work if you have a custom recovery like twrp installed.
never mind got it

[Q] I've Soft-Bricked Myself: Please Help!

Hey guys,
I happen to be a fool and I managed to soft-brick my Sprint LG G2 the second day I owned it. Yeah, I know it's a stupid move, but I am hoping that there is a hero out there in the crowd who can save me today. In order for you to help an idiot like me, I am going to list the steps that I took to soft-brick my phone.
1. First of all, I noticed that there was no SIM in my Sprint LG G2 and because of that I couldn't get any software updates whatsoever. :silly:
2. Second of all, the fact that I could get absolutely no software updates whatsoever hit me in the nerve and I would not accept that simple fact to save my life. I than proceeded to root my phone (using Towelroot, of course), and thus leads us on to step 3.
3. Next, I tried to flash CyanogenMod's 12 Nightly Lollipop Update to update my phone. I did initially use ClockworkMod to flash the new update, but it failed miserably. :good:
4. Finally, I tried flashing the update via ADB sideload and I followed almost all of the instructions but they must have forgot to mention that you need to update the bootloader because I was running Android 4.4.2 and it failed, leaving my phone in a boot loop, completely useless. I can enter recovery and download mode if that helps.
I would appreciate any help that you Android wizards could conjure up for me, but if there is nothing that you have to recommend, that is okay too.

Flash tot to stock version of your choice: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476 Follow the "2015 (updated with pictures) TOT Method!"
If you want to install CM12, you need to tot to ZV8, root via ioroot, flash cwm recovery via FreeGee app, then download the latest nightly from cyanogenmod.org Do some searching there are multiple threads about this before you do these things, get familiar.
Thanks a Lot!

[Needed] G4 H812 Rogers KDZ File

Hey guys,
So I attempted to root my G4 with the H811 firmware from T-Mobile in the States... Obviously now, I cannot boot into recovery (as far as I know) and only have access to Download Mode. I can, however, use the send_command to connect to the phone (Only in Download Mode).
However, I cannot access the storage device to upload the Rogers "rooted" img file. Using the information found here. Is there anything I can do right now? Seeing as this phone is literally my home phone and internet, nobody can get a hold of me.
I need to find a fix for this as soon as possible!
Thank you very much for reading.
EDIT: Just so everyone knows, I cannot use ADB because my system does not boot.
EDIT 2: http://i.imgur.com/nxNpzqt.png - Looks to be bricked entirely, unless this can be fixed?
EDIT 3: The phone as been sent away for repairs; warranty replacement inbound.
There is rooted Rogers firmware in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3135162
K get stock or rooted Rogers system img and try comands from and see if you can push it to phone and and install it

I was trying for 2 days.. The issue is that it is caught in a boot loop and ADB would not recognize the phone.
Had to get the phone replaced as dead, no way to revive it!

If you can provide the IMEI of the phone.
I can upload the stock kdz.
Ppl, do you have the stock kdz, hopefully unbranded, I've been looking and nothing, also the root I've tried several tools and is not going trought.
hi guys,
i got 2 lg xsreen, model number LG-k500H .....OS 6.0.1, patch level 1-june-2016 (mexican version telcel company).
I'm trying to root the phone with no success so far, i've found a KDZ image .....downloaded lg flash tools 2014, and drivers etc.....nothing happened........some kind of error from server.......
I did check the oem unlock and usb debugging, but there is just no way to boot to the bootloader, adb also doesn't work, i can see the device listed and authorized, but it just do a normal restart on adb reboot bootloader, so somehow it must be locked. looking at LG website, the phone is not listed for the oem unlock, to get the code......i'm kinda helpless, i wanna root my phone because at 16 GB of space, i inserted a 32GB sd card, but since 6.0.1 u cannot use the sd card as an internal memory, so no transfer of apps to SD.......i'm willing to try if someone wanna give me some follow guide or trial and error testing ! hopefully i don't brick it, but that's ok for the sake of evolution ..........the only working buttons are VOL up + power to get into download mode, and the other one is volume down + power, as soon as the logo appear, quickly press power again, to get to the hard format option, no other combination works, i tried all what i got in mind.
A dump of the system partition would be nice. Thanks!

I'm not sure if you can DD partitions if you're unrooted, but it'd go like this via ADB shell:
Code:
dd if=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/system of=/sdcard/system_froggy.img bs=8192
If rooted then FlashFire app would be easiest.
some codes i found, wonder if they can be helpful
