========================================================
This is a collection of my own custom Android boot animations, optimized for the screen and color properties of the Nexus 4 (however, these animations should work perfectly with any 768x1280 resolution Android phone running Android 4.0.4 or later). My goal is to create simplistic and professional-looking boot animations that embrace the modern and simple feel of Android's UI. I convert my animations to PNG-8, allowing me to create very high quality boot animations while also keeping the filesize down to a minimum (often under 1 MB). My animations frequently feature solid bright colors on a black background, emphasizing the beauty of the screen of the Nexus 4 and reflecting modern design principles illustrated in the newest builds of Android. As of 04/28/2014, I have made the decision to make all new animations run at a very smooth framerate of 40 fps, which runs extremely well on the Nexus 4 when coupled with PNG-8 compression.
I will take any requests, public or private, and I will do my best to follow through with them as well as I can. If anyone wants an animation for their ROM, tweak, etc., contact me and I would be glad to help out to the best of my ability. I will also create kernel splash images if requested. Please try to keep everything clean, professional, and appropriate for all audiences.
All of my animations (as of 07/29/2013) are now also available on Boot Box! Check out overhauling's page for the amazing app, and visit the Play Store to download it!
NOTE: The animations in this thread are CWM/TWRP flashable .ZIPs. If you would like to place the boot animation manually, extract the flashable, find the bootanimation.zip (/system/media/bootanimation.zip) file, and use a root file explorer to replace your original boot animation with this file. The scripts DO NOT make a backup, so please make a backup of your boot animation before doing this. You can also now use Boot Box to download and apply my animations.
NOTE 2: The .GIF full previews give the user a good idea of what the animation will look like, but I will specify two differences between the GIF and the actual animation. First, the GIF does not have pauses in it, so if it looks rushed, it will not be like that in the actual animation. And second, most of the GIFs are rendered at 480x800 (or 480x480) resolution in order to make them easier to view on a computer; the actual animations take full advantage of the 768x1280 display on the Nexus 4.
I do all of my work for free, and all of my downloads are completely free to use. If you would like to distribute them, please contact me. If you like my work and would like to donate to help keep me going, there is a link for PayPal in my signature.

Added Red Window animation! Looks very much like the tile system on Windows Phone 8, but still very pretty, IMO.
Added Google Zoom animation! Very clean, check it out!
That concentric one looks cool. I'm going to give it a try.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
Thanks! If you like it/don't like it/it doesn't work right/etc, please post a reply. As I currently don't yet own a Nexus 4 to test on, I'm a tad in the dark. But that will be fixed shortly
EDIT: I am still testing these animations, just not on a Nexus 4 (I'm testing them on my Samsung Galaxy S). These flashables have been tested by Nexus 4 users and they do work, but if you want to manually place the animation, the bootanimation.zip file can be easily found within the flashable .ZIP (/system/media/bootanimation.zip).

Color Splash animation added! I really like the look and feel of this one, it really embraces the Android color scheme as well as the Nexus 4 phone.
just wanted to thank you for the boot anims. stellar work, my man!
i especially like the concentric colors.
one word of advice, if i may. i would avoid including the 4.2 in the animations. 4.3 is just around the corner. besides, i think most people prefer to have a nice and clean boot animation as opposed to something (perhaps needlessly) indicating the android version they're running.

Thank you, I really do appreciate your support. As for the 4.2 in the animations, I just released a 4.3 exclusive I understand what you are saying, and I am trying to create more device-specific or general android boot animations as well. I just like to have a few ROM / build exclusives
Just added Pulse, my first 4.3 exclusive boot animation! Very simple, but gives tribute to the new JB build to be released officially (hopefully) on Wednesday!
No doubt the concentric one is the best...
Can someone whether its working well....just asking bcoz OP doesnt have nexus4

I can confirm that my downsized versions work well on my Galaxy S. Since only the resolution of the image is changed in the N4 versions, they should work perfectly fine. My Nexus 4 is coming in tomorrow (hopefully) so I will be able to test these out natively soon
thanks

I don't know if I can, but I'll look into it.

I think my next animation will be a very simple one for Paranoid Android, it's a very popular ROM that I plan to use for a while. I think I'll add a poll tomorrow for specific ROMs and OSs, check back for that. I'm also looking into boot animation sounds, but don't get too excited, haha.
After installing these on my new N4, I've found that the pauses are much too long IMO. I'll shorten them for the most popular animations and reupload them soon. I also plan on shrinking the size of Concentric Colors, I think it's a bit too big.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
Added poll for most wanted boot animations, and updated most popular animations (Concentric Colors, Flood of Azure, Color Splash) to shorten their pause times. Also shrunk the size of Concentric Colors a bit to look better on the screen. Expect a new animation for Paranoid Android soon!

Like promised here are themed gingerbread keyboards.... Maybe others will be but that will come shortly...
If you like my work you can buy me a drink; cheers
-- NOTICE --
On pictures you can't see on all keys small numbers in upper left corner. But don't worry that is due to language your using. I use Croatia so some numbers are missing but if I set language to english numbers are all there
Keyboards has haptic (vibration) support. If in some case doesn't work. Before posting please check in Settings > Locale and text > Gingerbread keyboard. If there is vibration box checked and vibration is still not workig then go to Settings > Sound > Haptic feedback. If haptic feedback isn't checked then check it and your keyboard should vibrate on key press. This the thing I didn't know and before making these themed keyboards I have downloaded almost every keyboard linked to forum. Stupid; didn't ask.
OK I found a "bug" which I can't get out and tried it in few versions. I don't know why or how but I'll try to resolve it. Problem is in numeric keyboard when entering text sign & is there but in this type & or when rotated &. It's like stupid script doesn't know what is it and those parts with signs never were edited they are like in stock and in stock keyboard everything is alright. Also like when you change color some parts go wild?! If somebody knows any solution or idea please post or pm I'm willing to try it since I did almost everything.
Signs are now FIXED and normally showen on keyboard!

CWM2 & CWM3 is supported
-- Installation notice --
All keyboards are tested and working on my i9000.... Scripts are compatible with CWM2 & CWM3. VERSION IS NOT FOR STOCK ROMS!!!
If runing Darky's v8.x or v9.0x or v9.1 rom
Before installation via root explorer or Super Manager in /system/app look for gdbk_dicts_haptic_darkyy.apk and delete it or rename it to gdbk_dicts_haptic_darkyy.apk.bak. Becuse this themed keyboard will not delete or replace one you have in Darky's rom!
If running Darky's v9.2 rom
Same procedure like for v8.x only difference is that file is now named darkyy_keyboard.apk so you need to delete it or rename it to darkyy_keyboard.apk.bak before install!
other modded roms
Same as for darky's but only thing you need to see name of keyboard app (file) in /system/app if file isn't named gdbk.apk then you need to rename it or delete it.
-- Installation procedure --
Install themed keyboard thru ClockworkMod Recovery or via Root Explorer copy gbkd.apk from zip file to your /system/app folder. After pushing it or coping to /syste/app folder you need to go to Settings > Locale and text and choose Select input method and from list select Gingerbread keyboard so keyboard can work....
If you want revert to stock keyboard steps are same as for themed ones...
ClockworkMod Recovery installation
- Copy zip file on your SDCard
- Go to recovery (if you don't know how look here > Recovery Mode... )
- In recovery mode choose option install zip from sdcard
- Now click on option choose zip from sdcard
- Find your zip file where you placed it on sdcard (your sgs)
- Now click on Yes - install (Name of zip file you choose).zip
- Click on last option which says +++++Go Back+++++
- Choose now reboot system now option
- Wait till phone boots
- Go to Settings > Locale and text and choose Select input method; from list select Gingerbread keyboard so keyboard can work....
- Enjoy your new themed keyboard!

Thanks for making that really quick, but that really wasn't what I was looking for.
I was looking for one that looks like the stock (first picture) with a only red on the first suggestive word and a red glowing line on spacebar when word suggest. Also take out the smiley face for all text and add the return(arrow thing) key. Hopefully its not too much of a hassle.
Edit: also I don't know if its my screen, but that red looks slightly pinkish to me. Is it possible to make it just the same red as the red Generation X theme?

By night I'll add also darker red version..
No you got the arrow thing its fine. Working great on my phone. Thanks!!!

Thx for pointing it out for stock picture smile... I didn't even look at it till now and saw what you meant for smile and I forgot to say that stock picture is from internet not from my phone... Just posted it so it's there. (I'll replace it later in day for one on m phone so people don't get confused).
Alright cool man. I'll try to spread the word so more people try this awesomeness out.
Looks great .. Thank You for sharing !

Who already downloaded keyboards please re-download them again since I also changed links in 1st post. Now keyboards are really 100% working... Update with new ones will be soon....

Tried swype today but stupid app always has it's own colour and has only few png and either one is background... I'll think of something
Also 2 new keyboards are added and I hope you like them... In full white version black background is from theme (android menu) and can't be changed if theme isn't full white background
thank you for gingerbread color
Could you create a version like VA Green version but with all symbols and letters green?

when no other icon is green, the signal icon is empty, and when smth else goes green, the signal starts indicating the right thing.

The wifi/mobile data and signal icons are meant to be grey , until a data connection is established between your phone and the google servers, once this is connected, then wifi/mobile data icons and signal icons change to green.
this is a feature of 2.3.3., not something our theme is doing incorrectly. if you have stock 2.3.3 theme, then this will be the case also.

Wow Markyyy, I didn't know you guys had this theme in green colour also.. Great work, really amazing..
That signal icon and internet/wi-fi is a fail from google and i hope a bunch of people typed them that too and they will fix it, cuz its really weird and sux, i have no idea what they thinked when they did that lol, is that JVK-s problem too, that H/3G (Internet) icon is 99% of the time blue/green (both arrows), even if you dont do anything (and your sure your not doing anything with internet or any program)...?

We didn't do anything to any program... We can color icons but what's the point in that if you don't know if you have data or not. At least to me it's bit stupid if they were all in same color.

Maybe a good idea would be to switch the icons, all blue one (both arrows that is currently showing 99% of the time) with the all grey one, this way 99% (when you do nothing it would be grey as it should be) and when you do something, would it still show upload and download arrows colored as it should? Or is this connected together? Cuz i think mostly it shows correctly when you go on internet when only 1 arrow is "colored"?
Actually what im trying to say is, if there are 3 icons (up arrow, down arrow, both arrows) or only 2 (up arrow and down arrow), cuz if there are only 2 arrows icons/pictures what i said wont work.
PS: I dont know anything about Android or theme-ing it, im just blind guessing...
Hope you understand what im talking about.

First of all, credit goes to JakeSiemer aka Jrizzill @ droidforums.
I ported the MIUI bootanimation to fit our screenresolution, the quality might have been damaged but it still looks OK. Might fix it later.
For now the blue and the white version is ready, gonna fix the black one tomorrow.

[APP][11-MAR-2013] Themed 4.2 DeskClock ♦ 70+ styles ♦ Colors, Mondaine, Semi-trans..
Themed Analog Widgets for 4.2 Desk Clock
UPDATED 11 MARCH 2013 - FINAL UPDATE
There are two versions of the new DeskClock APK:
The version from current 4.2 AOSP GNex builds ~ USE THIS IF YOU ARE ON 4.2.X ~ This is the fully functional 4.2 DeskClock app. It should work on any 4.2.x ROM as the stock version would. You will encounter problems if you try using this on 4.1.x.
The version from the 4.2 System Dump ~ USE IF YOU ARE ON 4.1.X ~ This is not the full 4.2 DeskClock app. It does not include the digital clock widget or lockscreen widget options, which don't work on 4.1.x anyway. This version will not give you any FC errors like the AOSP version will. You can use the flashable ZIP files with 4.1.x.
INSTALLATION
You must be rooted and on a deodexed ROM. This is an unsigned system app that cannot be installed like other APK's. If you want to preserve your existing DeskClock.apk, either copy it somewhere safe or rename it to DeskClock.apk1 (or DeskClock.apk.bak, whatever you want). There are flashable ZIP's for both 4.1.x and 4.2.x. You can also do this manually by moving the apk to your system/app folder via ADB or with your preferred root-enabled file explorer and setting permissions to rw- r- r-.
OPTIONS

REQUESTS
If you would like other color combinations or styles, kindly leave your requests for each of the clock widget elements. I'll get to them whenever I have a chance, and I may PM you with any questions or with a sample apk to try. Please also state if you are on 4.1.x or 4.2.x so I can use the more compatible APK version. All requests will be added below along with some styles created and shared by others.
DO-IT-YOURSELF
This is the some of the most simple modding possible. All it requires is 7-Zip and image editing software (such as GIMP and Paint.NET, both solid free options).
1. Open (open, not extract) the apk archive with 7-Zip.
2. Browse to the res/drawable-xhdpi folder, and locate these three images: "appwidget_clock_dial.png", "appwidget_clock_hour.png", "appwidget_clock_minute.png".
3. Extract these 3 images to your computer, and edit them as you please.
4. When you're done, save the images and drag them back into the res/drawable-xhdpi folder in 7-Zip. Say "Yes" when prompted about copying files.
5. Close 7-Zip, and move the apk back onto your phone in system/app. If you are doing this manually, set permissions to rw- r-- r--.
In addition to the dial, hour hand, and minute hand, there is an image for a second hand which could also be themed. However, I've never seen a way to add a second hand on the widget. If anyone knows, please share.

Love the look of the semi-transparent black and white dial ones, I'll try some of these out right now. Thank you!
I wanted the transparent dark background with holo blue hands, but the clock background was showing an ugly white border around some edges. Fixed it up with a solid black border.
I'll attach the apk to the post, if anyone else likes it that's where it'll be

Thanks! I thought I noticed a little extra white noise around the edges in the screenshot. I fixed up that black dial version and reposted, and also added yours to the OP. :highfive: Looks nice!
BIG UPDATE TO OP... I added a bunch of new color options, as well as killersloth's version for others to enjoy. I'll get around to screenshots for all the new ones soon. Please enjoy, and let me know if you have any requests!

Did you try wiping data for the Clock app? That fixed all alarm FCs for me.

Yes, as dirtygoldfish suggests, make sure you have wiped data for the clock app.
Which version of the clock did you use? I assume it was the killersloth-created version since you quoted him, in which case I cannot really help. You can try the version I made with a similar design but without the black border around the dial (5th set from the top in the OP, holo blue hands with black dial).
update to Mondaine styles
OP updated... I updated both the Mondaine and Mondaine inverted clock styles so that the in-app analog clock also has the same theming. Screenshots below, and new APK's and ZIP's in the OP. Enjoy!
OP could u do this???? I would like a border. Thanks if you do it.
Id liked the to have the blue holo hands instead of white.

Give this a try. It's got a white inner border, the positioning and thickness of the border should match your screenshot. Let me know if you'd prefer gray like in the other screenshot.
One million thanks!!!!!!!
Looks awesome with the borders!!!!

Haha, you're welcome. It's been added to the OP, as well as two new styles with gray hands. Hope you all enjoy!
BUMP in celebration of all the great new 4.2 ROM's starting to be released, thanks to all the great XDA devs.
Also shameless plug. Enjoy.
Looks great. Nice work

Oh crap. Are you using the flashable zip or moving the APK manually?
Yea I am still on 4.1.2, but I downloaded a 4.2 AOSP build the other night and just pulled out the DeskClock apk. There is definitely a change in the new version, the most obvious being that there are two widget types, analog or digital. I put the new AOSP version on my Nexus running 4.1.2, the app itself worked, but the digital clock widget wouldn't display (gave me a "Problem loading widget" error).
The attached apk is the AOSP version with Mondaine theming, let me know if that one works out.

I used the flashable zip. Thanks for the new mondaine apk. I extracted the previous flashable zip and replaced the deskclock apk - just cos I have always preferred flashable zips
It worked fine this time around. I do have 2 clock apps in my drawer tho, the edited one and the original. I didn't see your themed clock until after I had installed 4.2 so I don't know if having 2 clock apps is normal or another one of 4.2's little quirks.
I had a few "clock has stopped responding" force closes when I rebooted but they stopped after I had removed the original widget and added the new one.
It's a shame the widget doesn't show the seconds hand tho
