flashed a froyo hboot on your HTC Inspire/DHD shipped with gingerbread. Phone takes forever to turn on, then it buzzes like cheap vibrator got hit by lightning for two or three minutes – then it finally begins to boot. I tried Using IAMADUMBASS FIX by attn1..which is specifically for this problem but my DHD hangs up in bootloader + when flashing error occurs!

basically i have to flash a new fix Hboot to my device..which i am not able to! thats all!
Aha I didn't know about that fix. Have you verified MD5 checksum? And have you tried to put that file on your SD card and flash it from the bootloader?

It puts stock recovery just incase you loaded an invalid recovery img or something not compatible, therefore when u attempt to access recovery it wouldn't load. Mainly put this up because I was going in circles trying to with stuff posted on the irc. For example, I flashed insecure, and it just froze at the htc loading screen.

Yup, just the original recovery program that came with the phone. In case you want it for any reason, or want to put the phone back to stock stock everything stock... or in case you need a recovery which is confirmed working.
It will only allow you to flash signed updates.

I havent tried it but.. You would have to revert to stock, using the other guide. Then flash this to remove the clockworkmod recovery.
That should be all stock, if im not mistaken.

Odd. My phone did not come with a recovery. I got it the Oct 3rd from RadioShack, so maybe that's why. When I tried to enter recovery from fastboot, it would give me a screen with a warning triangle and needed a battery pull. That's why I was wondering what in the world the stock recovery was.

NO, your phone most certainly had a stock recovery, you just didn't press the Volume Up and Power button at the same time when your phone got to the "warning triangle". If you'd done that you would have gotten to the recovery menu.

not necessarily; BUT if ur softbricked, you can enter fastboot, put on the stock recovery; and in theory do a system wipe, and you could be fine?

Going by that error, I'm gonna assume your still s-on. You might want to start here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=842495
Read the whole thing, but at least have the answers to the 2nd post before posting up you question.
Also, nothing against paul or any maker of the apps that do stuff like this, but really all this rooting/rom flashing stuff needs to be done the manual way. Apps mess up sometimes and could put you in a bad spot. At least if you did it manually you would know what you did wrong, and hopefully catch it before you reboot.
You might also want to post in the visionary thread as maybe these guys know of a fix for whatever the app is doing.
Please help- Did not find anyone having anything similar so I thought I could ask you for help. Flashed CM10 nightly for my verizon galaxy nexus(Aug 18th) everything was fine for a while but then it started rebooting randomly. So I decided to wipe and go back to cm9 stable. Even after doing a factory reset and wipe from CWM recovery the phone continues to boot into CM10, with all my data intact. So then I panicked a bit and flashed stock recovery and stock images. And STILL booting into CM10 with all my data. Any ideas or suggestions. I am sorry if this sounds like a rant- I am just desperate to get my phone back to a workable state.

You have an option or two remaining:
1) try flashing a stock rom via Odin.
2) if Odin doesn't work, use omap flash and then try Odin again.
Links to both methods are in the first post of the "basics" link in my Sig (at the bottom of the first post).
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
At work, sorry for the lack of links.
But maybe try ODIN.
As much as I generally recommend fast boot, maybe it'll help.
Post three of the guide in my SIG.
Click the link for Stock and Locked with no USB.
No need to use those instructions...
But there's a link to the TORO ODIN images and instructions.
Follow those.

Sorry If I am being a noob, but the odin thread you are referring to [ODIN] IMM76D 4.0.4 yakju/maguro [REPACKS]

I am on the Verizon galaxy nexus. So I am guessing those repacked images would not work for my phone?

Saw this thread on twitter. It would be interesting to see the log from your factory reset or when you flash something. It is probably in /cache/recovery/log and accessible via ADB. Just copy it to /sdcard and then pastebin it and link here. If it fails flashing, it should print a bunch of errors in the log.
You can flash stock tar files for your model like Maguro to yakuji and so forth. You can download them at the dev google site and flash via Odin. That should work.

This is so strange. I've never seen anything like this. If you flash clockwork and format the system, can you pull the /tmp/recovery.log and post it?
I have searched the forum and i didn't find the solution... I formatted my sd card and wiped all data in recovery and cache before flashing the jellybean rom.
So at every reboot, I have to open my computer and flash the kernel via fastboot. Any help is appreciated thanks!:good:

Viper X is not based on Jelly bean, are you sure you are using the correct boot.img file ? What you are experiencing shouldn't happen. When you flash the boot.img, does it correctly go through and see something the following at the comand prompt ?

Use the latest twrp.

fastboot erase userdata should wipe data.
