[Q] GingerVillain - Unlock Pattern not working

I've got GingerVillain 2.6 and want to use the unlock pattern or a pin.
If I adjust it at the settings it works only for the first time. than i have to set it again. I hade the problem with GingerVillain 2.5, too.
I've no idea how to fix it. Maybe someone can help me.
I'm from Germany...so please forgive me for mistakes
Nobody an idea?
...for those who don't know what I mean, I've taken a video...
the setting is in german...so
Are you using LauncherPro? Maybe your launcher is messing up something. I tried it with GV 2.6 and it worked (without any custom launcher or how they are called )
Yes, I'm using LauncherPro, but I already tried it without LauncherPro. I changed with the "Home Switcher"-App to the default homescreen and it didn't work, too.
maybe the only solution is to flash it again. -.-
Have you tried to wipe the cache and dalvik cache after you changed the launcher to the default one? I don't know if this works, but you could try it.
Edit:
I would try it this way
1. Default launcher
2. Set pattern
3. Reboot into Recovery (don't lock the device before the reboot)
4. Wipe cache and dalvik cache
5. Boot
You could also try to remove the LaucherPro between step 1 and 2. I'm not sure as I told you before, but you can try it.
I tried your way but it did not work, too.
I made a Data & Cache wipe and installed everything again...now it works.
But it would be nice to know, what the problem was.

Hope this works for you too.
I faced the same problem and here is how I solved it for myself.
Go to Settings
Under Personal select Security
Scroll down to Credential Storage
Select "Clear credentials (Remove all certificates)"
Once this is done, I managed to gain back the first two options of "Lock Screen" and "No Lock Screen".
Hope this helps you!

Disable first Lockscreen and wake up direct to pattern screen

Since update to Lollipop we need to perform two actions (if you use any security lock) to get to your homescreen:
1. swype up
2. enter pattern or pin
In KitKat there was an option to bypass the first screen and wake up the phone direct to the pattern/pin screen.
With Lollipop this option is gone.
Does anyone found an option, a patch or exposed module to bypass the first (notification) screen or can give me a hint how to do so?
I am s-off, rooted and have exposed working with sense toolbox.
Thanks for any hint / advice.
Regards,
Umqi
Gravitybox (xposed module) can do this. It's under lockscreen tweaks, then Direct unlock.

Thanks,
but Gravitybox ist only for AOSP and GPE ROMs, I forgot to say that I am on ARHD 45 which is a close to stock Sense ROM so I'm afraid to try
Reboot in TWRP, make a backup, try it, if it bootloops or breaks bad, restore the backup. I just moved to the GPE MM rom and installed Gravitybox and made all the tweaks that bl*ssr*m gave me. You might be surprised!

Did my NAND, installed, aktivated module, rebooted and tried.
The tweaks I would need in GravityTB are not working. I can change the color of the Blutooth Icon, so I can say installation is ok.
Problem not solved jet....

"Activvity is not exist in this device" popup when entering Lock Screen in Settings

"Activvity is not exist in this device" popup when entering Lock Screen in Settings
Hello everyone.
I have messed a little up while trying to install as system app some fake gps apps, and since then, my lock screen has been reset, there is no shortcut and when I try to enter the Lock Screen settings a popup appears with written "Activity is not exist in this device".
I can't really understand why doing that caused that.
I guess, somehow, the .apk about the lockscreen got deleted in the operation.
I am running Fulmics 4.3, I'd like not to reflash the ROM just for this little problem.
Does anyone know the .apk related name file or has another solution please?

How about you do reflash the ROM? No need to wipe data if you flash the same system image. You don't have anything additional stuff you edited on system partition that you would lose by reflashing it, no?
I can't seem to find 4.3 but I assume that 4.1 will work. (mega:///#!HE1QzYoZ!ktj3enhUe0_axivfQFC08jxuDKdo_UZ1gV2NzdZnlig)
Ofc do the backup just in case you get stuck in a bootloop.

Actually i would have to re-set up some anti theft apps installed as system app...and I should reflash the 5.1, then the 5.2, then 5.3, then the N style notification bar...
However, I guess I have found on the rom archive the apk I needed.
It should be LGLockScreenSettings_2.apk and LGLockScreenSettings_Provider.apk found under \system\app, the only problem is that I don't remember how to install them
On the root partition I can't find an folder called "app"...
I guess I'll keep looking for the system app location...
Thanks anyway

Lockscreen bypass?

So my roommate was drunk and set up a lockscreen swipe password and can't remember it. Is there a way to get past it without a full reset? Tried using Android device manager but not working. Any help would be great. Phone is also unlocked and rooted. Thanks

You might be able to delete locksettings.db in recovery. That should clear out the pin. Used to have to do that on 6p after a restore.
