"Activvity is not exist in this device" popup when entering Lock Screen in Settings
Hello everyone.
I have messed a little up while trying to install as system app some fake gps apps, and since then, my lock screen has been reset, there is no shortcut and when I try to enter the Lock Screen settings a popup appears with written "Activity is not exist in this device".
I can't really understand why doing that caused that.
I guess, somehow, the .apk about the lockscreen got deleted in the operation.
I am running Fulmics 4.3, I'd like not to reflash the ROM just for this little problem.
Does anyone know the .apk related name file or has another solution please?

How about you do reflash the ROM? No need to wipe data if you flash the same system image. You don't have anything additional stuff you edited on system partition that you would lose by reflashing it, no?
I can't seem to find 4.3 but I assume that 4.1 will work. (mega:///#!HE1QzYoZ!ktj3enhUe0_axivfQFC08jxuDKdo_UZ1gV2NzdZnlig)
Ofc do the backup just in case you get stuck in a bootloop.

Actually i would have to re-set up some anti theft apps installed as system app...and I should reflash the 5.1, then the 5.2, then 5.3, then the N style notification bar...
However, I guess I have found on the rom archive the apk I needed.
It should be LGLockScreenSettings_2.apk and LGLockScreenSettings_Provider.apk found under \system\app, the only problem is that I don't remember how to install them
On the root partition I can't find an folder called "app"...
I guess I'll keep looking for the system app location...
Thanks anyway

Well your kind of lucky right now but who knows what will happen when account activates. Dude i just backed a rom up on my gnex (didnt erase no data or nothing) and when i went into wallet as soon as i got in before even activating accnt i got the secure element error. If u get the " secure element not responding " error u need a new device to use wallet or a new motherboard. when u go into the app and hit menu on your phone then go to settings. See if u can reset there
Edit...and also resetting app data will not do anything it has to be reset from inside app
What would be proper procedure before you flash a new rom at all??
From what I understand first you remove all the cards in your Google Wallet than in Settings -> Reset wallet??
Would it be smart to clear cache (etc) through the settings -> Applications??
What I did was Delete The Google Wallet APK from /system/app folder then reinstalled it. Worked fine after that. Good Luck..

Yes but u got lucky you are playing with fire the way your supposed to do it is go into google wallet then hit menu on your phone. Go to settings then scroll down to reset google wallet. This will take down all your cards and every other piece of data in the money network. Thn after its done u will see the app is totally reset like how it looks when u first downloaded it. Now is when u can flash a new rom
I have been searching and i havent found anything
so i have the ATT s3, i rooted before and got wallet working. Even purchased many thing with it. Today I decide to unroot my phone to take in the OTA update from ATT. i did that and then i rooted again. I was trying to see if all my app works, so without thinking i open up wallet. It gave me some errors. so i went and reflash wallet to the newest file. And now the wallet icon is grayed, and it has a sd card mini logo next to it. when i click on it, it said " application not installed." I installed it many times over and still the same. i am not sure what to do.. i have been looking, seems like no one is having this problem.
please help
i got the icon back working but still say "insufficient secure element privileges for this system image (release-keys)"
any way around it?

You need to install the nfc libraries, there is a link somewhere, search for wallet threads.
OP - YMMV. You can wipe data/system/cache/dalvik and then install your rom and everything should be fine. I did the same thing before and hunted around and it seems that not resetting wallet does not lead to secure element breaking. Again YMMV.
i just fixed it. ( for the insufficient error)
so i flashed to stock, ota updated, then restore to factory.
Root the device, installed super user, updated super user
installed root manager
change you build.prop
flash newest hacked google wallet
activate google wallet account
change you build.prop back to factory.. all my cards are there except for the prepaid.
i dont if it works.. so i will update if it would.

Status/Notification bar is no longer visible

I attempted to flash a .zip patch to remove the QSlide Apps part of the notification drop-down menu, and since then I've been getting constant messages of "System UI has stopped" and the status bar does not show at all. Tried a factory reset on the phone itself but to no avail. Going to attempt to flash system stock ROM from a .zip ... any other suggestions / advice???
Thanks in advance

Why do you guys keep flashing things without making a backup first?! Unfortunately there is no other way for you to get back to working order; you have to LGPST back to stock. Next time make a backup if you're going to flash ANYTHING.

I had something simpler happen with exposed framework, my status bar would disappear then I would get an error "system UI has stopped" . Just un installed all modules and removed exposed. Not sure if you are using exposed. But that's how I fixed mine.
When the f*ck did we get ice cream??
Can a mod move this to the Q&A section please before it gets out of hand. Not flaming you bro but we as a community need to keep things in order and post where we are supposed to post. Don't worry we've all posted in the wrong section a time or two.

You dont need to flash the whole thing just overwrite LGSystemUI.apk with the original one I attached, set correct permission and reboot.
You should backup any file you decide to change first..luckily the phone will still boot with a bad systemui apk
Hopefully that fixes it, hopefully what he flashed didn't change any other files outside of Systemui.

Thanks for the apk and sorry about posting in the wrong forum at first.....
How exactly should I go about installing the new apk though? When I used Package Installer it keeps saying "Application not installed" and doesn't run. Sideload Wonder Machine or something equivalent maybe? I had a tough time today with setting up LGPST so I'd like to save that as a last resort if possible.... Thanks for the responses though!
Never mind....figured it out. Forgot it had to be pushed over.... Needless to say I need to spend some more time around Android! It's been a while since I first got in the game.
Status bar is back up and running, and it even maintained removal of the QSlide Apps portion, which is what I was trying to fix all along -- my original screw up! All's well that ends well I guess.
Thanks all for your help! :good:

[Q] Phone rebooting upon /system modifications?

I am brand new to android and recently rooted my M8. I was trying to change the /system/customize/acc/default.xml to hide the NFC icon and when I attempted to save the file the phone rebooted and later asked if I wanted to send HTC an error report.
I have tried this with several file managers which all have root priveleges. It seems as though this happens when trying to modify anything in /system. Am I missing something obvious?

I did the mod that exists currently and while it makes the icon transparent it still takes up space on the status bar. I was trying to set the nfc_show_icon setting to zero. Nothing is screwed up I just can't change the file.
yea i tried to install xposed and it did the same thing, at least i didn't have to restore my backup, but curious that the phone reboots and restores when system is modified...
the m8 has system write protection, wait for an insecure kernel/module to be made or use custom recovery and adb to make changes within /system

Maybe it should be mentioned that you need TWRP to flash the zip file. Thanks for the efforts, though. I'm sort of dead in the water until I am able to get my unlock code.

LOL. Good point. Sorry about that. It just wasn't very obvious. I guess I got excited and jumped in.
So, does this script removes the app that tries to police the background apps from running? I think it was protected apps under settings? If so.. awesome. we wont have to manually add them after install.
Is it possible that if I was on one of the restricted battery profiles when I ran the debloat script that it could have stuck?
When I first got the phone I put it normal mode and found it pretty good. Even running the Google launcher. However, I have now unlocked the bootloader, installed twrp, rooted, installed MOAB ad blocker and debloated the phone feels slow and janky?!? I figured dumping all the bloat would help to speed it up some. Any suggestions or thoughts?
Thanks,
Justin

Try removing the unnecessary zram operations using the no-swap method at -
http://forum.xda-developers.com/hon...ipt-disable-enable-swap-honor-5x-kiw-t3308321
When you debloated you removed a number of unnecessary processes and now it's trying to use the ram you freed up by keeping more of your apps in memory - with a constant compression/decompression process that adds lag on the 5X (and every other phone I've checked out that uses it).
Huawei - like every other phone maker with a new launch - will also be releasing performance improvements soon. I've tested both of these mods with the update coming next and you'll still want to use them.
The normal power mode ought to be sticking. If the no-swap mod doesn't help then it's probably a good idea to regress back with a nandroid backup, ensure normal mode and then de-bloat and remove swap.
Edit - and be sure to protect all apps in settings so that you get standard Android task management and not EMUI task management.
Is there anyway to selectively re-install some of the apps that it removed? Im curious because I think it some functionality like HwThemeManager_Local removes the ability to change the lock wallpaper. and if any other issues come up that i want to undo. (Can i somehow restore the individual items from a nandroid backup?)
And thanks for providing a nice commented script!

I don't think that you can do it directly.
Right now, it's restore your nandroid backup, modify the script here and debloat again.
I've started into an Aroma installer for this so you can just select the bloat you don't want. That's on the back burner with no ETA yet.
Meanwhile - if you want to wait until later today or tonight, I'll pull the file you want and you can reinstall it by hand.
If you don't want to wait, copy your nandroid system.ext4 to your pc (if not compressed) and rename it to system.ext4.tar - I believe that 7zip will work to extract it to your pc and you can find the file and put it back from there. (And I'm going by memory here so you'll want to be prepared for hiccups.)
There may be a utility for this - I think there is, but can't remember it.
OK - just checked another option for you -
My system nandroid spans volumes.
Copy system.ext4.win000 to system.ext4. win000.tar on to a large sd card.
Check out "ZArchiver"
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.zdevs.zarchiver
See if you can extract with that, and if you can, repeat for all volumes.
No promises but you'll probably find the attempts very informative.
Thanks for the info. messed around for awhile trying to get something. I found out Titanium Backup has an "extract from Nandroid backup" feature. you select the backup and it lists the apps that you can restore. The only one i found that looked like the theme manger was: com.huawei.android.thememanager i click on that and restore and it takes a long time (which makes me think TiBu is not working right) about 1-2 minutes (but it does eventually say success), reboot and still cant change the lock screen wallpaper. I also copied the system.ex4 files to windows and renamed them tar. extract them with 7zip and it kinda locks up after a bit. it extracts some extension less files. So maybe im missing some additional files, or Tibu is not really doing anything. i tried mounting system as RW just in case. No biggie, i dont think i want to spend much more time on this. Thanks for the info though. Ill take a look again later.

Ok, so I was going to try and just go back to the fully bloated stock, rooted rom.... however I messed up and somehow didn't do a backup first.... so I have nothing to restore. I tried to download and restore the "full Stock" backup from the other thread, however I'm getting errors for no partitions. I then downloaded the factory firmware from Heuawi, but when it tried to install it seemed to be working, but then booted into TWRP and won't go further. Anyone have suggestions on how I can return this thing to stock?

Ok, I was able to get it all sorted out, I just had to calm down, think, and teach myself some new comand line skills hahaha
I downloaded the stock Firmware, however I wasn't able to install it since I had TWRP and it was blocking it.... so I found this tool, Huawei Update Extractor that can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2433454 Then used this Extractor to expand the firmware and extract the stock Recovery.img out of it. Then flashed that to the phone via fastboot. Now, I was able to run the stock firmware update via the factory EMUI update app. Once that was done I was able too boot the phone back up and I was suprised to find that it didn't wipe the phone, I guess it ran it as a true "upgrade" instead of a nuke and pave.... BONUS!
Anyhow, then I was able to flash the new TWRP recovery back in place and now I'm currently creating a backup.... which if I had taken the time to do in the first place none of this would have happend. Oh, well... who needs more than 3 hours of sleep..... its not like I work full time and have 5 kids under 5 :silly:
Hope this helps someone who gets flash happy and forgets to make a back up like I did!

It might. Pre-installed apps may vary by region, the Aroma installer (under construction) is intended to be intelligent about that.
Either way, make a nandroid backup before trying to debloat and you won't be stuck if anything goes wrong.
Worked for the most part.
There were some apps left (mostlygames that came preinstalled as well as Shazam and Instagramm)

Screen rotation not working.

Tried the slap fix. Checked cpu z and my sensors look normal but I'm not sure really what they should look like. Tried turning rotation off then rebooting then turning back on. I have xposed, I saw another forum where someone said they disabled something in xposed to fix it but they didn't say what. Any help is greatly appreciated. I've done the dev conversion and rooted.
Have you uninstalled any apps (especially using Titanium Backup)?
Trying to uninstall Facebook or Instagram using Titanium Backup broke screen rotation for me. Manually deleting the app folders in /system/app/ was fine, though.

I did uninstall both of them with tb. And like the smart person I am I made no backup. Help?
Edit: Would installing from the app store fix it?
Edit:Edit: I tried, it didn't work. What can I do?
Is there a place I can download the apks from the stock image? I have the stock incremented one installed from here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/not...nt/firmware-safe-upgrade-to-lollipop-t3313224
Would that even fix this issue?
It's not so much the apps themselves that's the issue, apparently TB deletes some system libraries that affect screen rotation.
The easiest/safest thing to do would be to reflash one of the safe upgrade options and re-root the phone. Deleting most apps with TB seems to be safe, but manually delete Facebook & Instagram.
Glad to hear the cause of this issue has been narrowed down to the uninstall of Insta and Facebook from system apps. Do you know if it's still safe to disable these apps by using something like Root App Disabler?
This worked for me. Dont flash , just copy the file in the zip to where it needs to go and reboot. It should be fine. Ofcourse make a backup in case.

I have disabled Facebook and Instagram using Titanium Backup and later manually deleted the apps from /system without affecting screen rotation.
The only issue appears to be using Titanium Backup to uninstall them.
I, too, have this problem with Jasmine v7.0. I have deinstalled facebook via TB and now screen rotation no longer works. I tried the libgnustl_shared.so fix but that does not seem to work for me as screen rotation is still broken. If anyone has another idea I am willing to give it a try. Otherwise I think I may re-flash Jasmine and manually remove facebook.

I would try a dirty flash of the exact version of the ROM you're using. It should reinstall the missing programs without messing much else up.

If you can't find anything else that works, wiping and re-flashing with Jasmine 7.0 definitely does. I flashed + deleted facebook quite a few times before I realized it was causing the screen rotation bug. It's tedious, but it will get rid of the problem.
Seems like facebook deletion via TB is not the only way to break screen rotation. I did a test and deleted several apps via TB (but left facebook installed) and I cannot pinpoint exactly which one broke rotation I can confirm that screen rotation did stop working. Therefore it seems that the best route altogether would be to delete apps manually instead of using TB to do so.

I'm running Jasmine V7, MM. Can you please tell me what ROM your fix worked for. I tried downloading, copy pasting "libgnustl_shared.so" to correct folder (mine was missing). Then, battery out/ reboot -didn't work. Other Note: I don't think I can dirty flash my ROM in the traditional sense as Jasmine V7 was only released in backup form. I would have wipe and to do fresh install. (This would suck as it mine is heavily modified) -THX!
