new battery calibration - HTC One X

i've replaced my one x's battery with one x+ battery. while charging new battery i think it goes from for example %90 to %100 in a few seconds.could it be because of old battery 1800mAh and 2100mAh? how can i calibrate new battery? i've used battery calibrator aplication, full wiped and installed rom... but still same

Just let the battery run out then full recharge that usually works

i've done this for a week. but still same problem, while charging battery goes from 90% to 100% in a few seconds. and i get 20hours battery with 2 hours screen on

Have you tried the battery calibration app from the play store? You charge it to a 100% and you calibrate it, deleting older battery charge files and making a new one. I usually use it after flashing a new Rom to avoid these kind of issues
Edit: 2 hrs screen time is really bad.. are you sure it is an authentic htc battery?

That battery wad never designed to work with that pcb, sometimes the sensor in the battery does not talk with the board, also long term you might damage your phone due to incorect battery

1. Charge the device for at least 10 minutes
2. With the device truly OFF (NOT ON STANDBY) , push in and hold volume up and volume down AND power button And HOLD for 2 minutes and let go once 2 Minutes has passed.
Doing this will calibrate the Circuit within the battery charging system.

yes.. if it still doesnt work try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=16808932

actually there is no any calibration you can do it by yourself. I have got a calibration laboratory for medical devices so we are calibrating many things and you need a special device to calibrate your battery, you can not do it just with a program =)

Tried it with Power connected at step 2. Is that correct? The Phone booted every 10 seconds to the HTC screen and shut down immediately. Is this still correct? Did Not make a difference so far...
Forgot to say that I don't have the stock rom anymore. I'm on Paranoid Android 3.65 with n3ocort3x Kernel.

Disable the fastboot option by going in settings/power. And the try it again.. It worked for me

I don't have that Option in my settings menu, I'm on AOSPA, not on sense. Or is there a similar option? I can't find it...

Desire Z acting weird-really wierd

Okay, my friend hooked his DZ to USB to charge it today (his charger is lost), and it had 10% battery remaining. So detached it after 2 hours, to find out that it is not turning on. Now, I have the phone, and it is acting like this:
1. When connected to charger, the orange LED will blink.
2. Vol down+power will not launch fastboot.
3. It would turn on a couple of times but then it would die. For no reason.
4. When pressing the power button if doesn't turn on, it will vibrate 3 times and the orange LED will blink.

Unless you can get another battery in there to test if the phone charges it correctly, you might not have a choice! They're pretty cheap, and often come bundled with extra batteries.
Fortunately...
Fortunately,I'd the same problem with hTC Desire AKA Bravo,I changed the battery and it solved the problem.
Hope changing the battery helps you over this...
My G2 did exactly what you are referencing I left that phone off for three days, replaced the battery with a brand new one (oem) charged it overnight and the next morning it powered up and been fine ever since.
Agreed. - You just need a new battery.

proplem wirh battery..

Hello everyone
Since I click on the battery reset which can be found if u call *[]*[]7378124[]*[]*
Not so sure about the code. anyway
Since that and my battery fall down from 6% to 1% and then shut down .. Sometimes from 11% to 1%
The battery health is ok..
By tha way.. I rooted my phone and unlocked bootloader also I cleaned all cache from Recovery mode
Anyone can help??
Sorry for my bad English
Service test will never hurt your battery, it is just a test, try charging the phone when it's off then turn it on and see if same thing happens again. As for recovery it has nothing to do with the battery either. Try charging the phone, leave it for a while then check again, if it's software issue ( dont' think so ) reflash your device ( backup first ).

What version of ROM are you using?
Possible Fixes.
1. Remove the SIM Card.
2. In Power OFF Mode Charge Till 100% (Green Light)
3. Switch ON The Phone Without SIM.
4. Check >> If battery icon is stuck at 100% for too long. Or battery icon flashes.
If YES, ReFlash ROM
>> If it discharges normally, Then keep the phone charge Over 50%.
Then, Do A Hard Reset. 3 Viberations by Pressing Volume Up and Power Button Together Nearly 10secs.
(50% Charge is called Factory Charging)
On a working phone there are different stages of a battery's charging cycle.
The stages are listed in order they happen.
The cycle goes from a completely dead battery through a phone running on battery and back to a completely dead battery.
1. Dead battery. No response from the power button, no screen and no led.
2. Connect to charger
3. Low battery level charging mode.
This is when just the RED led is on and no screen.
At this stage the battery's charge is to low to turn the phone on, but it is charging.
4. Kernel controlled off-line charging mode.
This is when the battery has charged enough from step (3) and boots the kernel to charge the battery.
5. The phone is off, but could be turned on using the power button.
A quick press of the power button will show this battery icon. Icon will fill with charge.
The kernel also controls charging when the phone is on.
6. Battery is fully charged.
7. Unplug the phone and turn on.
8. Battery is dead or discharges quickly from normal use. Repeat stages starting at (1)

htc one x red light flashing and phone won't start

I have bought a htc one X a day ago, which was imported from some eastern country. The phone ran well for an hour or something.. and after that, it just dropped dead. The battery was about 60% when it dropped dead. And when I charge, the red light keeps on blinking. It won't turn on, or the red light will not be stable.
When i try to boot into bootloader, the phone does go into bootlader. But I have to keep my charging plug on. If i remove even for a second. the phones switches off again.
I can't go to warranty as this is a replacement. Some guidence will be appreciated. Thank you.

If the phone doesn't power on & If the red led doesn't turn on while charging your phone then you should take it to service centre.. Might be a problem in battery or the motherboard
There is a batch file running about that helps charge from boot loader.
On phone so can't find it currently.

Did you ever get to the bottom of this? I'm currently in this situation myself. I read the thread suggested here, but it helps very little if you can't even get to fastboot. For what it's worth, I do have a custom recovery, but a stock image. And the mother board is okay - I've swapped in a different battery and that seems to work, but I do want to get my original battery to work...
guys i have a solution i guess .. put your phone connected to laptop or computer for several minutes dont remove . it might take sometime and afterwards you will listen the usb connecting voice and the blinking will stop and will be stable and then you can turn on the mobile
If you have a flashing power light
This is when your device has overheated and wont let you start up your OS.
Plug your phone in for afew minutes then hold down the power, volume up and down buttons at the same time untill a white developers screen comes up, disconnected your device from cable and click on recover and leave for a minute then plug you power lead back in and leave again. When you come back to you phone it the LED should be a solid color and you can then boot your device.
Any problems Message me, any time.
Thanks

After doing reset\calibration of battery circuit we put phone on the wall charger and wait until green LED.
Right?

In most cases, must to change the cable or adapter, or both. I had the same problem twice.

[Q] Xperia Ion never holds charge

Hello Friends,
I have a year Xperia Ion phone. Recently I have got a problem with the battery of this phone.
A week back the battery status was never going below 100% but will shut off after certain amount of usage. I did not bother as I was able to use the phone normally but only the battery status was a problem. However the problem got more serious. Here is what happened and what I tried:
- A day back phone got switched off and the battery was never going above 1% upon restart, even when it was on charging
- I tried hard restart (holding volume up button + power button). After this it was showing increase in percentage when plugged in for charge and reached 100%. I thought the problem is resolved but not.
- Everytime I unplug phone from charging, battery drops down to 1% immediately and shuts off
- I did service test (by dialing some long numbers) of the phone and it says battery is good and no need to replace it. I assumed there is not hardware issue.
- I had no otherway but to try out battery calibration after rooting- I rooted my device, used 'Battery calibration' app. Charged up till it says 100% and did the calibration. It showed calibration success. I unplugged it from the charger again just to find that the same issue again.
I really do not know what to try now. My phone is just out of warranty (I bought this in another country during a visit). I am ready take paid service if that would solve, but I really appreciate a promising solution or suggestion for this issue.
This phone means a lot for some reason. Thanks in advance for your helpful thoughts!
Note: I found a similar thread where they talked about replacing battery: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2450884 I am not sure if this is the same case as that of mine. If so how to replace the built-in battery for Ion.

My phone also shuts down at about 20%. If shutdown, after reboot I have corrupt data... Or bootloop. Or not boot.
I think we have problem with bad battery... Maybe too old, maybe calibration destroy battery. I did not find a solution. When my phone reach 20%, I shut it down myself before auto-shutdown

ok man i find a way !
1-Turn off Fast Boot in settings
2- Power off phone.
3- Plug phone into HTC charger and charge for two minutes or more.
4- While charging, hold down volume up+volume down+power button and continue holding.
5- Phone will turn on and off repeatedly every 15 seconds or so while continuing to hold all three buttons
Keep this going for 2 minutes, then release buttons when phone is ON
6-Now, let phone charge fully normally (with phone either on or off--doesn't matter) and battery level reporting, charging and battery life should be normalized.
i found it in that reddit
my phone is have very good battery now !
