Vibration Setting >>version 1
Buttons Settings >> version 2

I cannot get it to work. Tried it on custom Tango Rom(Samsung Focus) and custom 7.8 ROM(Focus). It launches for the first time, but asks for root access. As soon as it gets that, it crashes on next launch onwards.

Using the above method atleast helped me click the switch to turn off vibration, but as soon as i clicked it, the app crashed. Vibration is still on though and I cannot start the app again. Keeps crashing on every launch since the first and only successful launch.

Hi,
If you are doing something with hardware keys can you look why SearchKeyBehaviour is not working on 7.8? Maybe you could write simple working app?

Hi, you can uninstall any don't want using Titanium Backup if your phone is Rooted. I don't think there is a way to do it with a non-Rooted phone., hope this help!
settings --> applications manager --> T-Mobile My Account --> uninstall updates
Once you have done that you go to
settings --> applications manager --> all --> T-Mobile My Account --> Disable

It works for me so far. Are you trying to get rid of that status bar up top?
Sent from my SGH-T889 using Tapatalk 2
Do you really want to disable the app or just rid of it from the notification bar? If so, just long press it in the notification bar till a little menu pops up saying app info. Click on that and then unmark "Show notifications"

The "turn off" button on my Samsung Savant with Android 4.4.2 just worked
The T-Mobile My Account app on my Samsung Savant with Android 4.4.2 was using more battery than any other app. I pressed the turn off button under "settings", "application manager", accepted the warning message that doing so might break things, and it just worked. T-Mobile My Account has not come back when I restarted my phone. (It is not obvious how to turn the app back on, but I have not looked hard.) I can still connect to the T-Mobile network. My phone's battery life seems considerably longer. Battery use when the phone is idle and in airplane mode with the WiFi radio also turned off is now under 0.5% per hour. I did not root my phone. I can check my data usage by placing a call to #WEB# (#932#) now that the app is no longer displaying that information for me. I am -- so far -- delighted with the results of removing this app. I am not an expert on T-Mobile internals-- so I do not know who should expect to have an experience similar to mine.
I had this app disabled in my note 4 & then needed to re-enable it for a day when my alt choice app had a problem until it was updated, now no matter what I do the disable button is greyed out. not rooted & wasn't when it worked the first time. Suggestions?
If you are rooted, then rename the .apk to something else (like ....apk.bak).
Terminal Emuator + NoBloat Free work best for me coz of the "Backup & Uninstall" option. With that i remove all those bloatware apps especially KNOX Files & still back them up thou u can delete permanently .

This worked for my non-rooted Galaxy S6 Edge running 5.1.1. Download Debloater to your PC. Plug in your device from your PC. Select Filter, and type "com.tmobile.pr.mytmobile," or any derivation of the name (i.e., "my"). Select the file and check the box. Click on Apply. You're all set. It is DISABLED and hidden. I watched the icon in the notification bar disappear as soon as I clicked Apply. It hasn't returned. If you need it later, you can uncheck the box and click Apply. Viper4Android for 4.4 w/install guide

Viper4Android now officially supports KitKat with version 2.3.1.3
If you don't know what it is, it's a sound mod on steroids:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2191223
Note: Do not even consider the Viper4Android app in the Play Store.
I thought I'd write up a quick and easy install guide. It used to be more complicated to install, having to choose the CPU etc. Now it's much more self configuring
I've never needed to do more than this. But in the OP of the Viper thread there are things about installing it as a system app, setting permissions, etc. But this has always worked for me (On Note II and 2012 N7)
But you might want to review the installation notes anyway
You must be rooted and have Busybox installed
Be sure you have unknown sources enabled in Settings/Security and I always uncheck verify sources but that's up to you.
Download Viper4Android - It's small 7mb (the downloads are right after the Last Update Log)
I have found the easiest way to install is to use Root Explorer, but the idea will be the same for any file manager.
In Root Explorer
Navigate to the folder where your download is
Long press Viper4Android_FX
Choose Extract All
The file will start extracting and will only take a few seconds
You will be prompted to 'Go to extracted' choose that option
Open the folder Viper4Android_FX by clicking on it
Click on the apk Viper4Android_4.x_(version you downloaded)
When prompted choose install
Follow the prompts
Then choose Done, or Open if you want to go straight to the Viper4 install routine
Open the Viper4 app in your app drawer and follow the prompts
Grant the app root access
When prompted to install/update the driver choose Yes
Choose the Audio Quality you want. I have always chosen Super Audio Quality so I can't comment on the others.
When prompted about needing a dual-core CPU choose OK
Press Ok when prompted to reboot your phone.
Reboot your phone
Launch Viper
Under the menu check driver status it should show the version and Status: Normal
If you enabled it already it will say Enabled: Yes
On the web site there are instruction to change these lines in build.prop - if you have them - I didn't have them
Ipa.decode=true to lpa.decode=false
tunnel.decode=true to tunnel.decode=false
lpa.use-stagefright=true to lpa.use-stagefright=false
Under the menu there is an option for the UI mode. It simple sets how many options you see. Personally I use Expert because it exposes more setting for Automatic Gain Control that I need to dial in what I like. But it exposes a lot of stuff I never use.
There is information in the Viper thread about the settings, some are not particularly clear, and other options for getting Viper working with the Apps you use. I've never had to do anything special to have it work with the Media apps I use which is Google Play, Pandora and Slacker and a few (free) music players.
How do you know if it's working? I always read you have to enable it in settings - sounds - sound effects, but I don't have that in cm11. I already deleted DSP, but how do I know my audio is being processed with Viper?

Set compability Mode from normal to compatible . And reboot. If you listen music on Apollo, you can go to settings and check Viper FX in equalizer.

Hello! I recently installed viper on my Galaxy, but am having the issue that its not affecting sound output. I disabled LPA (Low Power Audio) as recommended by the app, installed busybox, and installed the needed drivers. I proceeded to wildly adjust every parameter but noticed exactly no difference, which leads me to believe the app is not working properly. Could someone please throw me in the right direction?
P.S. My phone is rooted, I have Xposed and SuperSU working properly

[Q] Apps running at startup in B510

B510 don't have this functionality. In PhoneManager you can setup which apps can run while screen is off.
I understand, but it's different: I need that some app runs at startup ....

@Duck: this feature is hidden in b510..
you have to root your phone to be able to edit the build.prop/local.prop..
you'll find all information in this forum (ascend p6)..

It's not missing, just hiding.
I wish they would un-hide it!
Not only can you not manage apps that start automatically at boot, but it seems that apps that want to start at boot are being blocked. I've tried repeatedly to get Volume Locker and Day Bar English to run at start up but they keep failing. I've installed alternatives but they too fail to start. Perhaps it is something to do with the way they are loaded into the notification area, but it is a shame they don't work.
I hoped that if I could get the start up manager back, I could re-enable them.

I did, they didn't work either. Of those I tried, they either only disabled apps at start up, or refused to add apps that they thought should be running at start up, or simply didn't start themselves.
Open app, go to bkgn power-intensive apps, find your app and check startup manager.

Genius!
That indeed works. I now have DayWeekBar English and Volume Locker running 'normally' again.
Just to clarify the steps I took following Svigir's advice:
Start the App in question.
Click Settings.
Scroll down to and click Power saving.
Click Background power-intensive apps.
Locate the app in the list and click on the app icon.
Make sure all the switches are over to the right side of the screen (all On).

Great, it works. But that's limited to power intensive apps. If an app is not power intensive, it will no be displayed, hence cannot be activated or deactivated for startup. Right, or am I missing something?

unfortunately contacts has stopped

Two days back I update my Z5P on MM. After update did a master rest every thing is running perfect. MM is excellent update but yesterday I got error "unfortunately contacts has stopped" without doing anything. When I am going to make a call press on phone this error appears. I cleared phone cache and dialer cache every thing but problem is there. Any help I don't want to do again reset. Mean while I installed true caller and it works but I want to use default dialer. Any help or suggestion thanks in advance.
I have the same problem after update
Ditto on the issue
I am experiencing the same issue after the 32.2.A.0.224 update.
Phone is running everything stock with no root or unlocked bootloader.
Please advise.
same here just updated and lost the ability to dial any number. 3d party dialers work. Tried cleaning cashe and data on the contacts app, and when that did not work did a repair on the sony xperia companion . problem persists.
please,
- install any logcat app (for example LogcatX)
- run it and start registering
- press the home button
- open the dialer and let it crash
- immediately press recents button (multitask button) and re-open the logcat app
- pause logcat recording and upload here the file
We can try to analyze the problem.

Unfortunately you'll need root to use logcat apps on the phone, but you should not need root to run logcat from the computer using ADB, so:
- enable "USB debug" from developer options,
- then install this driver http://developer.sonymobile.com/downloads/drivers/xperia-z5-premium-driver/
- then install only ADB using this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=48915118
- connect your phone to the computer and run
adb logcat > logcat.txt
from a command window and give authorisation from the phone to the computer,
- open contacts and let it crash
- immediately unplug the phone
- load the logcat.txt created in C:/Windows, or where adb was extracted

I too had this issue after 32.2.A.0.224 update. Not only it affects my Contacts, also the Bluetooth Share, Calculator, Chrome and etc.
What I did to solve is to Force Stop, Clear Data and Clear Cache.
Once reboot, it should work normally.
I just got the latest firmware this morning (32.2.A.0.253) and now I my contacts app is stable and I can finally dial numbers again.

What command should I enter? I've enabled USB debugging and granted rights for FNG, but despite this, the option to remove control keys doesn't work. How to do it with a manual command? I'd love to see if it works via PC, and then possibly buy a LADB to do it from phone. BTW I have a ABD Shell for Tasker already

I was referring to the LADB configuration, I couldn't get the pairing to work properly at first, but I used the hint about two windows and then it worked. It would be nice to force Tasker to work this way, so that using its ADB plugin it automatically enters this command after a reboot. When I find time I might look into it, for now I'm happy. Thanks again.

Tasker allows you to set this global var after each boot via a Custom Setting (no need for ADB plugin)
Create a Profile > Event > System > Device Boot

Interesting option - is it working without root?
Yes, you just need to grant Tasker WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS permission via ADB
