Home button double tap Google Voice? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 4

Hi, I disable SVoice and install homew2 app on playstore. When I double tap home button GV launches, but I have to click on GV mic when I speak. Is there a way to get auto voice launch without touching the mic?
Thank you

Did you make sure you selected "voice search" as the app to launch when double pressing the home button? Mine listens automatically and I don't have to tap on the mic. Maybe you selected Google search instead? I'm on stock rooted but this works without root or custom rom. Also I use home2 shortcut app to set my double tap option.

Not a problem. I love that app. I use it to take notes when I have my browser open to a research page or a text message. I love the whole "window" feature.

Well if you're on a cm10 ROM, go into settings and assign the long press menu function to "voice search" and then I'll mod the apk to add the ability to launch it from holding the menu button.

Haha yeah it's not possible in touchwiz. I believe the long press menu function acts as a regular search button single press. I'm certain that could be changed but I'm not sure I never ran touchwiz. what version of floating note do you have?

I am on CM10 and was able to change my long press menu button to function as long press search. If you can get me your android.policy.jar file i should be able to change it. it might take some time though im not 100 percent sure what to change.

[Q] hardware button

does anyone notice that the physical hardware button makes a click noise? I dont know if this is an issue of having to break the phone in or what.

I think the only way is to use a different launcher. I've been trying find a way myself. On the home button click mine has a nice solid click sound. I actually like it. Feels sturdy, not like a squishy feel which I've had in the past with hard buttons.

adding pages
Am I the only one that can't add more pages to the homescreen? I've tried dragging icons and widgets to the right, but seems like I'm limited to the one main page and the google now section to the left.

If your rooted you can use the button remapper module. If not, just open the magazine app and go to settings and you should see the option to disable it from opening when pressing the home button or bottom of screen

Is there a quick way to get to home without using the home button?

A gesture or another Shortcut? I tried setting it up using Nova but I couldn't find a way to add the shortcut

I added the side panel which does the job. Wish it had a transparency setting, though. I'll have to look for play store options

Because you can wear out the button? I've had to replace iPhone home buttons for this reason

I recommend people check out Swipe pad which gives you very easily accessible sets of shortcuts.

I like it. I've switched to that. My only gripe is that I would want to cut down the number of portals that shows up. Sounds like I need to get the add-on for that
