So I recently just got my Galaxy Note II and I have been left stunned by how quick, feature rich and beautiful this device is in looks and performance. I recently upgraded from an Infuse 4G (by upgrade, my puppy wanted me to upgrade by chewing the glass off it...) and I was in love with that phone because of how solid, affordable and mainly screen size!
So to get to my question, has any owners of the Note 2 noticed any cheap flaws in the device? I've noticed over the past few days that the metal grill over the ear piece is actually coming out of the phone, and seems to be coming out from the right side. This just frustrates me a bit. Aside from that, I have noticed the plastic bar covering the speaker grill on the reverse side just seems, flimsy. I feel if I were to put any pressure on it that it would crack or break. Let me know if any of you guys have come across any weaknesses, thanks!
(P.S.: First real post on these forums and after getting this powerhouse, I feel obligated to start posting here and get involved with the community, lol.)
The only thing I consider a flaw it the dust that can get stuck under the glass where front glass meets the frame.
The headphone speakers have always been poo.

As per thread title, I want to buy a replacement of the vibration motor for the GSM Galaxy Nexus because mine started making weird noises then it simply dies out. After disassembling the phone, I took out the motor and it made rattling noises when I shake it.
Can anyone recommend some good places to find one? I've looked at Rounded and Stellatech but I'd like some more alternatives.
Thanks in advance.
I am in the middle of replacing the glass on my wife's Note II and realized I lost the little earpiece speaker cover at the top of the phone when I removed the old glass.
Does anyone know where I can buy one? I found people selling the home buttons, volume controls and power buttons but no earpiece speaker grilles.
Thanks a million in advance!!!
I am in the same boat, did you come across one?
Use the one from the previous glass????

It's lost. Not sure if you can take parts off a dummy phone. http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Galax...10&keywords=Samsung+galaxy+note+2+dummy+phone
My galaxy note 3 mic doesn't work when I try to talk on a call or using Google now. It does work when I record a video so I am wondering if there is multiple mics and what mic would I need to replace for talking on my phone.
Thanks!

Have you contacted Samsung support? If a mic is not working it sounds like a hardware defect.
Same problem - How I resolved it
Sorry for bumping a kind of old post, but anyway...
I had the same problem with the mic not working on my note 3 since the day i bought it, I bought my Note 3 used off Craigslist, and when I got home I realized that the microphone didn't work on calls, but worked just fine on speaker phone. I was somewhat annoyed by this, thinking I got screwed on craigslist again. But instead of throwing a fit about it, I just ordered another charging port / microphone thinking that would solve the problem. I installed it when it arrived, all excited like, only to find out that this didnt fix the problem. I read several posts on this forum and others, many offering what seemed to be viable solutions, disabling noise reduction, cleaning out the mic hole with a pin and so on, none of these worked, the problem still continued.
So tonight I set out on a mission to find the cause of the problem and i did just that... I started by taking my phone apart so that I could clean the mic hole from the inside as well as cleaning the little screen / filter on the inside of the mic hole and stuff like that, I was working in an area that had awkward lighting (my patio), and so I was having to move the phone in different ways so I could see down around the microphone, while doing that I noticed the light glimmering around the area of the mic hole, on the inside, I looked a little closer and I could see that there was definitely something there. I picked at it with my tweezers and what came up, a piece of clear plastic that resembled the plastic you find wrapped around the edges of new electronics, it was about 1/8in wide and 1" long, and it was covering the mic hole.
After removing the plastic, I reassembled my phone and tested it, now the mic works great. it seems that samsung put this thin plastic there to keep things out of the microphone, and it works well, it keeps everything out of the microphone, including the sound of your voice..
Now my Note 3 is what it was supposed to be from the day I bought it, an awesome phone. Prior to tonight its been a regretful purchase and disappointing upgrade to my Note 2, which I had regretted getting rid of, until now...

Hi, thanks for great troubleshooting.
I was hoping you have a picture of the problem area, since I have an issue with my speakerphone. People cannot hear me properly when on speakerphone. I may have to fix the microphone as well on my good old Note 3.
Hello Everyone, Anyone with feedback on my issue or suggestions please comment-
After I cracked my glass I ordered a replacement screen/LCD/Frame single piece through amazon.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00TRWBNH6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
After performing the repair I have no sound from earpiece speaker and distortion from the loud speaker at the bottom of the phone. So I figured I must have damaged the speaker during the part transfer from old unit to new. So I ordered a new speaker. Speaker came today and after replacing the speaker I get the same sound from bottom and none from top.
I have searched and seems mostly iPhone post on the web with a similar issue. After calling local repair shops in MD/DC area, I do not have confidence that any of the ones I called know what to do.
Input is appreciated, I just bought this phone on craigslist and now its got a new screen but with no sound its junk!
Thanks
