Text message dual view - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

I used to have this dual view when I has a Galaxy S2, does the S3 have this feature?

Doesn't seem to. Mines stock rooted, and landscape view takes up the whole screen.

sadly not, but if you are rooted you can get the galaxy s4 messaging app which has that feature and more!
say thanks if I helped!

I am rooted, but it's weird that the feature is on the S2, Note 2 and S4 but not on the S3.
Do you have a link to the S4 messaging apk?

http://d-h.st/7uv here it is. just push it to system/app using root explorer, set permissions and reboot.

This doesn't work (ah least for me on att 4.1.1 (just force closes).
Given the s4 is running a newer os version that's probably the culprit for me.

(req) mms fix

Can any of the gifted developers figure out why we can't send or receive pics or video normally. It works sporadically at best. I don't understand why this problem is not listed as a bug in all the 4.2 ROMs .I'm new to the nexus so I don't know if this was always a problem with this phone.

Mine does the same, not sure its a bug, but a feature???! I sort of like it it as it makes it easy to read the lock screen no matter what orientation the device is.
Was curious.....asking since I havent been to forum in a long time since I got my s4 but is there a copy for s4?

Question: Is there a way to get ASOP apps on stock rom?

I know when I had my Galaxy SkyRocket, you could replace the samsung apps with the ASOP apps such as messaging, phone, ect.. is that possible to do on the S4 as well? If so, can someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks!
I would like to know this as well.

The browser and keyboard work as far as I know. I tried the aosp messaging app but it kept force closing. Some of the apps need to be tied into the tw framework to work properly.

Airview enabling

Just saw this while scrolling through the recents section from the Xda app. Can it be implemented in the s3 and note 2. It was originally for the N8000

Has this been tested and working with the stock 4.1.2? That would be awesome if we could get this working.

Galaxy s4 rom for the S3

Hey guys, I was wondering if there's any port of the galaxy s4 rom for the S3. Thanks!
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
Nope, just roms that have the s4 theme kind of and a list of apps that may work on the rom you are trying.. You can start by reading the roms here http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1645 and look through this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2206668

There has only been leaks of the android 4.2.2 Rom for the international galaxy s3. Sadly, the international has a completely different file system and framework so it would not work on the US variants. We have to wait for Samsung to release or someone to leak the upgrade for our phones.
Edit: Samsung did announce that we will get it though so we just need a little patience.

Yes Samsung did say that we will receive it but they also did later say that the release will be pushed back a little for both the s3's and the the note 2s because of complications with their new touchwiz.
