I know when I had my Galaxy SkyRocket, you could replace the samsung apps with the ASOP apps such as messaging, phone, ect.. is that possible to do on the S4 as well? If so, can someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks!
I would like to know this as well.

The browser and keyboard work as far as I know. I tried the aosp messaging app but it kept force closing. Some of the apps need to be tied into the tw framework to work properly.

Does anyone have a modified framework. jar that has the scrolling cache disabled in the os?
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1411317&highlight=scrolling+cache
the link above refers to the steps necessary to accomplish this. If anyone has a flashable. zip for this mod. it would be greatly appreciated.

Isn't this not necessary in jelly bean?
Sent from my SPH-L900 using xda app-developers app
not sure. It's why I'm asking about it. can someone confirm that it's not necessary?
but if it isn't why are some apps smooth and others not?

No, there aren't any issues but after ics disabling scrolling cache doesn't have a positive effect.

I recently switched to a non touchwiz rom and the only thing that I feel is lacking, the focus time of the touchwiz camera is unbeatable, I was wondering if anyone has found a simple camera app that focuses really quickly like the touchwiz one?

Why is this the wrong section? This is "Themes and apps" and I'm asking about an app...

This for apps and themes.
The question section is for questions.
Okay I apologize, on the device I was on previously all questions about software/apps were kept in the themes and apps section while questions about the device itself were kept in the q&a section. I apologize

How, if it is possible can you get it on the US versions of the s3 running rooted stock? Is there like a installable zip or something? Thanks
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
I'm not sure if there's a way to get it on rooted stock. But I do know the synergy rom with multi window is incredible. My phone has been stable and smooth running for awhile, had a little issue but smoothed it out pretty easily.

Not going to happen buddy, sorry. Unless you can port it yourself, it's just to much to try and get working on 4.1.1
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using XDA Premium HD app
Doesn't work like that you'll have to go the custom rom root (see what I did there?)

Just saw this while scrolling through the recents section from the Xda app. Can it be implemented in the s3 and note 2. It was originally for the N8000

Has this been tested and working with the stock 4.1.2? That would be awesome if we could get this working.

You can try this. I've used the kernel before, but haven't tried the dual boot function.
