[Q] android 4.2 for xperia ion

Hi guys
I was wondering if we r going to see android 4.2 for our ions
Sent from my Xperia ion using xda premium

I chatted with a Sony employee yesterday and he told me that the XS will get a 4.2.2 update. Tbh, I don't think so, but if the xs gets one more big update, the ion should get it as well.

Very unlikely, but could happen. However, I would prefer 4.3 instead of 4.2.

Pretty much this, I don't know why people want 4.2 so much since it's only a minor update.

[Q] [REQUEST] [Deodex] Xperia ion

Some one please create a deodexed flashable zip file for ion like it exist for s and acro s. I am searching for 7 days and can't find that file. All I found is deodexed rom. Please help, i don't want to flash ROM.

For what firmware?? H or I?? I have one for the Rogers rom.

But what is deodex....why deodex for any mobile....please give me advice pls....
Some idea for this is that ....after deodexed ion it will decrease speed ...is this true.... If true then y install deodex.....please reply please....

Lt28h.. I don't have any idea for roger rom. My phone is latest JB stock and build number is 6.2.B.0.111. This is all what I know and I got cwm installed. Please look forward if you could help.. Thanks

I don't face any problem in my jelly bean.. So there is nothing to deodex my rom?

The easiest thing for you would be to flash Spectra deodexed 28h JB. Otherwise you can follow the tutorial like I did in the dev section. It is actually not very hard to do. Takes only a few minutes to de odex a rom.
As for why to de odex?? Well if you want to add mods or change to a newer system app you need to de odex the file system or it will not play well. Some say odex is better and faster but for me it seems every device I have owned always seem to run better de odexed.

But official support is good for all xperia s users.and now we also have developer preview drivers for 4.2+ dor snap Dragon s3.here is a link for that.

I have downloaded the tx ROM all the required things.. I am about to start working on it, but my personal work and college are eating up all my time and i barely get time to sleep.. I need some time to start working on it and if i am right, it shouldn't take much longer to complete the port since its Xperia to Xperia and also same resolution which is a big time saver.. Keep calm guys.. We'll see what we can do..

no way.system needs ram for its working too.u may get near about 650-690 mb ram,depending on the rom.lets hope to see a 4.3 working port for this phone

500mb is enough, xs has 685, were good
