Im trying to get the csc files in a zip so when I flash a international rom and csc flash the csc files rather then copying and pasting. Seems flashing these files fixes some issues. Can someone help me?

You can extract the original Samsung CSC update zip from the cache.img file contained in an Odin tar file.
I use a Java program named sgs2toext4.jar and then open the raw ext4 image with a free utility called DiskInternals Linux Reader. You could of course mount the file in a Linux VM or system as well.
Otherwise, get:
/system/csc/
/system/etc/enforcecopyinglibpackages.txt
/system/sipdb/
/system/VODB/
From a working ROM, and make an update zip out if those. You just need to get them extracted in the proper location, default permissions (644) so no worries there. You may need to add some files to that set, logcat is your friend should you encounter issues.
I have the files from the csc folder on my computer, could I just put them on my sd card and use like titanium back up to make a update zip of those files?

If you just created a zip then no it won't flash. Upload your zip and I'll package it up for you

Easiest way for me is to download the rom to your computer and open it up (I use 7zip to do this) then go in to the system apps and delete which ever one you want. You can also use root explorer from the play store to delete system apps.

Just use root explorer from the market then. You have to pay for it but it is well worth the money.

Hi there i want to know if there is a rom that has the galaxy s3 features. If there is can anyone post a link for the rom. Thanks really appreciate it

None.
But you can extract launcher from leaked sg3 and push it to your sg2. Not sure if the launcher supports gb but I'm on ics and I love it so far.

Go here and download the file
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1666388
Extract the files from system and lib folder and Unzip and push to system/lib and system/app and change the permission to rw-r-r (only for the apk not the lib file)
restart, now you should have the new launcher.
make sure to backup before you do anything this will save you time if something went wrong.

I have extracted all of the UI sounds, alarms, notifications, and ringtones out of the new Android 4.1 build for the Galaxy Nexus. Feel free to use these as you see fit. Enjoy!

Try root explorer copy the files after extraction from new folder and paste it in system media folder merge is what I did

strange zip file, latest version of 7-zip was unable to extract the ogg files, but winrar was able to
Thanks Mate. will this work with stock rom + Rooted ?
Thanks mate
This will work with stock ROM or any other ROM. To use, merge the files as suggested above.

I extracted the files from each folder and using root explorer I moved them to system/media/audio/alarms,notifications and ringtone folders but when I go to settings>sound>device ringtone>choose android system, I still get only the default choices. The new ones are not there.
I have cf root 6.3 and stock rom LF6.

Did you set permissions rw-r-r?
And there is another method just create a media folder with all these files in your sd card

Yes looks like by default all files are set to rw-r-r. Should I be replacing the stock files with these?coz what im doing is im adding the new ones with the stock ones.

Hi All,
I have updated my phone to the leaked android 4.3 and I accidentally deleted the email app. Is there someone who is kind enough to upload the stock email app from the leak Android 4.3 please?
Thanks a lot!
If I'm not wrong, you might be able to get it back if you factory reset your phone. I'm surprised that you can delete that app. Ever since 4.1.2, I can't even delete any stock apps, only disabling them.

Hi guys,
Thanks for all the responces... the file i have was the odin flashable of the leak 4.3 for note 2... I dont know if there is a way to extract it from an img file.
I already rooted it so I have access to the root folder and accedentaly deleted the email app.
For now I am using a modded email app but its not the 4.3 email app.
I would really appreciate if some who is also using the 4.3 leak to extract and upload the stock email app.
Thanks a lot
