Pinching in email makes page jump - LG Optimus G Pro

I don't think i noticed this until the recent Value Pack update. Maybe it was happening before, but I'm not sure,
If I open an email from the stock email app and then either pinch together or apart, when I let go, the part of the page where I just was is no longer there and I'm left in an entirely different part of the page. For example, I might be on the bottom of the page, and pinch inward to shrink it a bit. I'm watching the image under my fingers shrink, maybe 1/4", and then I let go to view the smaller image. Problem is that once I let go, I might be anywhere on the page, and it might bring me back up to the top, or anywhere else. I can't find any reason for this, and I think it's a new phenomenon for me, since the upgrade.
Anyone else seeing this? And is there a fix for this? It does not happen when I'm using a browser, just email.

hopefully easy Q. full page facebook app?

i have the default HTC one, but it doesn't fill the window like the mail app does.
anyway to expand it, or an app that makes full use of the page?
page = homescreen or whatever it's called (it's early, i can't remember)
I have tried the full set of apps and in teh end decide that a short-cut to the touch version of teh web page (which I added to my home screen) was the best approach for me. Not only did I like the layout best but, more importantly, it seems to have better functionality than the apps I tried.
hmm, will check that out.
here's hoping a better facebook app comes out soon

[Q] Large contact photo's on homescreen?

Hey all, a while ago I was browsing threads for my old Moto Milestone, and saw a screenshot where the person had large contact icons on his homescreen (about equiv to 1x1 widget per contact). I thought I had read they were using either FolderOptions or BetterCut, but when I try to setup either, the contact photos always come out tiny. Am I messing up the setup of either of these, or could someone who has done this either either program, give me a hand.. Or even could someone point me to a way to do this? I always found the HTC People/LauncherPro Plus one kinda lacking, and REALLY lacks customization.
All I'm really looking for is a Contact photo on my homescreen that when I click it would either popup the little contact slide bar(phone/txt/email/etc) or just take me straight into HTC People contacts. Ability to turn on/off contacts name text would be a bonus!
Any help/app suggestions?
Wow.. 46 views and no one has a suggestion or even a comment?
How about this.. anyone know if it's possible, or what I'd have to hack, to increase the thumbnail size from the original Shortcuts -> Contacts or Shortcuts -> People to increase the size and remove the frame? (either full 1x1 widget size, or even 2x2 would work beautifully)
I believe you can use an app called "desktop visualiser"
Haven't used it for that purpose myself but i don't see why it shouldn't work.
Hope it helps.

OMFG That was EXACTLY what I was trying to find something to do! You are a life-saver.. I had given up finding something to do it, and just started learning to write an app to do it myself LOL Oh well, maybe I'll keep writing and see what I end up with.. but this is seriously the perfect tool for me.. It's gonna take over like 65% of my homescreen space now lol

[Request] Photo sorting

Can someone please figure out how to mod the code or whatever is needed to have the photos from your gallery be sorted with the latest photos up top instead of all the way at the bottom??
This drives me crazy as I have ton of pics on my phone and every time I take a new photo and I want to SMS it or upload it, I have to scroll all the way to the bottom to find the recent photo. Why did HTC make it this way? This should be an easy fix to have it sort by the latest date/time stamp right? Had this same issue on my Hero.
The little slide pops up on the right and you can skip to the bottom instantly. It isn't that bad. Although someone would probably need the source to change it.

Contacts Widget App - Non Scrolling

As above, I'm looking for a contacts widget that will work with 2.3.3. Does anyone know of any? I've tried a half dozen or so from the market but they either don't work, or don't work the way I want them to.
I'm just looking for a non-scrolling sense type one. I don't want to install any launchers or anything like that, I'm happy with the phone as it is in that respect, so I would rather have a static one.
The closest one to the mark was Contact Widget, it looked the part but was very buggy. It was meant to show 20 contacts at any one time but after I had selected the 20, it then only displayed 4 and pretty much froze. Not sure if that's a 2.3.3 issue or not.
Any recommendations?
If you want one that's non-scrolling, I would suggest not installing anything. Just add shortcuts to your contacts on the home screen. You can also put them into a folder if you so choose.

Thanks for that, 2 years I've been running android and didn't know that lol.
I eventually found and sorted out elixir which does the job nicely.

[Q] Anyone else having a problem with the Google search app on AOSP roms?

This happens in both CM11 and Slimkat, so I'm assuming it's an AOSP issue. Don't know that absolutely for sure though. This happens any time I use the Google search app, whether I use the top bar or the homescreen icon.
Let's say I search for "nova":
The standard results work fine, but if I click the Play Store result for Nova Launcher, nothing happens. It doesn't open the Play Store, it doesn't open a browser, it doesn't prompt what program to use. It just sits.
When I look at image results, it will show a handful of thumbnails, but the others are all grey boxes. No matter how long I wait or how far I scroll down, the rest of the thumbnails will never load. All of the thumbnails (both properly loaded ones and grey boxes) are unclickable, just like the Play Store links.
The search app is convenient for doing quick searches and it really sucks that it doesn't work properly. Is this a known issue with AOSP ROMs? Is there any fix for it?
Can I really be the only person having this problem? It's so easy for me to reproduce that I'd have thought it'd be widespread.
