[Q] [CDMA] Can't send or receive messages after root - HTC One V

So I recently rooted my Virgin Mobile HTC one V and everything was fine, then a massive storm hit my area and the cell towers were down for maintenance for a couple days, the problem is is that after the maintenance finished up I still could not send messages or make calls even though I have a pretty strong signal.
Things I've tried:
-reprogramming the phone (##VIRGIN# thing)
-unrooting it (temporarily) with OTA Rootkeeper (app from the play store)
-re-installing the stock rom
-doing a factory reset
-checking if I actually have a signal with Real Signal (app from the play store)
The only thing I have not thought to try is installing the stock recovery, because I don't have my old stock .img for the One V
If anyone has one can you please upload that so I could try that as well. Thank you
Edit: Just replaced TWRP with clock work mod as my method of recovery/backup, still didn't work. I'm doing my best to try everything.

[Q] Rooted Evo4g Problem...help Needed

I have rooted my Sprint Evo 4G using this guide
forum.xda-developers dot com/showthread.php?t=765496
It was rooted successfully and worked fine, But there is one problem i am having ... 1st after i rooted and installed rooted rom, after 2 days i stopped receiving txt messages from anyone so i had to go to ##786# and Menu and reset setting ...so it removed all apps and everything and rested my phone, but root was still there with rooted rom, so i thought it must have been sum glitch or something but after 2 days it happened again and i had to do the same process over again of resting. People can receive my txt messages but i stop receiving messages after very 2days. so if this happens again i am going to stock ROM. If anyone know how to fix this. Please help!!
Thanks....
Need Help
I use Unrevoked3 and Rooted my Evo 4g and the same day i notice my network going in an out, That i can't download anything because the network go's down, also i can't when i download .apk they don't work! Help Please
had this happen on a friend's phone. I just flashed a PC36IMG.zip a had here from the 2.2 root method; updated network settings and it was fixed. I already flashed another Rom on it and its still going good. Hope that helps.

PLEASE help me fix my half bricked EVO!

Background:
I rooted my phone back in August using the method described in this video (http://androidandme.com/2010/07/phones/intro-to-rooting-your-sprint-htc-evo-4g-video/) I've flashed numerous ROMs to my phone without much issue. However I recently flashed the latest Fresh ROM and have no data connection. I know its not the ROM itself because I nandroid restored back to 3 different ROMs and still cannot connect.
I upgraded and downgraded my PRI and Radio to various versions but still no luck. So next I called Sprint and asked them to reactivate my phone thinking that it would reset the connection and fix my issue. They asked me to type in ##(somenumbers)## which rebooted my phone and brought me to the hands-free activation screen. Not only did this not work, but I fully lost all connectivity. Previously I had a 3G logo that wasn't lit up, but my phone was able to download "some" data at very slow speeds. Now no 3G logo and no connection.. (idk why I called sprint?!?)
I figure loosing root and installing the latest OTA should fix my problem. So I initially tried the method described in the forums (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=743192), and got stuck at a black screen with an HTC logo. My HBOOT number changed to 0.93.0000 but im still rooted.
Next I downloaded the latest ota through my phone via wifi, but the install process fails about half way through. So now I'm thinking that if I downloaded the latest unrooted ota to my PC and flashed to the ROM I could lose root that way.
Solution?:
What are your thoughts? Do you think going back to stock unrooted android will fix my issue?
I truly appreciate ANY help you can give me. I'm completely "lost" without a working phone!
THANKS!!!

Do this first, update your PRL and Profile, always do this when you update the radio.
Then if that does not work, proceed with the steps below.
Do the nandroid restore, I would hope you are using ARMON RA b/c it backs up your WIMAX(wimax.img). Get you phone working again then focus on the the
radio(s).

[Q] GTalk/Market download problems

So heres my delima. I recently rooted and installed cyanogen rom (htc desire cdma). I then noticed that my market wouldnt download sometimes, it would just sit there. I did some research and found out that the market uses GTalk and if gtalk isnt signed in, the market wont download.
I played with gtalk and noticed that it wont connect to the servers whenever I am using cellular data. It works fine with wifi. I know the cellular data is working because I can surf the internet.
I talked to a buddy with a htc hero and found his does the exact same thing with the same setup. Which led me to think it was the ROM.
So, i went into recover and wiped the phone and then reinstalled the stock (rooted) rom. Gtalk still wouldnt work over cellular. I "think" that by wiping the phone, everything would be removed from cyanogen, so that crosses that off the list of reasons (can anyone confirm this)? The only thing left would be that the phone is rooted with unrevoked and has s-off. However its currently not possible to turn s-on to see if that fixes the issue.
Anyone have any tips to try.
Is there anyone running a cdma rooted s-off desire that can use gtalk while using cellular data?

[Q] Unable to receive calls after CM7?

Hi guys, I have tried to search for a thread on this but wasn't able to find one.
So after installing the latest CM 7, for some reason my phone has been unable to receive calls. I can *MAKE* calls perfectly fine, but zero calls are coming in. Wifi and GPS both work fine. I notice the 3G/service bars do work, but go blank for long periods of time sometimes too.
I've wiped all data dozens of times, did a nandroid restore back to Myn's RLS3, flashed radios again, wiped again... still unable to receive calls. I've tried to update profile and PRL at each step of wiping, but nothing works.
Now, I'm on the latest stock rooted ROM. Do I need to un-root and take this back to the store?
Anyone have this happen to them? I would really prefer not to have to go to Sprint...
In case anyone else has this issue in the future: a quick trip to the Sprint store fixed my problem. They said all they did was a hard reset, but I think it was more complicated than that. I didn't have access to a land line, but in the future I'm going to try to do it with customer service over the phone.
Thanks for all the (non-existent) help XDA.

[Q] Sprint Galaxy Nexus; signal/3G issues

Sprint Galaxy Nexus
4.2.1
Not rooted
I performed a factory reset on my phone yesterday due to it bogging down and being rather slow. I never did a reset after getting the 4.2.1 update so I figured it was a good time. I woke up this morning, putzed around the house, and setup Tasker again. I laid my phone down for ten minutes while I got ready for work. Whenever I tried to wake my phone and nothing happened. I tried a few more times and the screen would not wake up. I pulled the battery, hard reset, reinserted battery and the phone wouldn't turn on. Then, I wiped the contact terminals (on the battery and the phone) and reinserted the battery and the phone booted up. However, since then I have had some major problems.
1. Power button does not always work properly. I have to press it several times to sleep or wake the phone. (Okay, not major, just inconvenient and probably unrelated to the issues below)
2. No data connection whatsoever.
3. In the data usage menu, there is no longer a data toggle switch.
4. Under the Network Mode option, LTE/CDMA produces absolutely no cell signal whatsoever. I have to switch to CDMA only. (WiFi works fine)
5. Toggling airplane mode, as some have suggested, does not cause the phone to connect to mobile data. Another factory reset did not restore mobile data. Rebooting did not restore mobile data.
6. All of these problems are true before and after factory reset. No new problems were created and nothing was exacerbated as a result of performing a factory reset.
I've been from one end of the internet to another looking for solutions to this problem and I have found that many are having a similar issue but toggling airplane mode or rebooting fixes it. Not the case for me. Most also seem to be having this problem after rooting. Again, not the case for me.
Any suggestions? I would prefer to not return the phone. Purchased from Radioshack and the 30-day warranty has expired. This is my second gnex already, as the first one's charging port broke. It took over a week to get this one from another store which graciously shipped it in to my store. There's also the issue of being broke and not really being able to afford another $30 activation fee on top of the deductible for a new phone.
Why not try reflashing the stock image and updating again to 4.2.1?

Not at all. You'd use Odin . Myself I have very spotty sprint signal in my home. Spoke to a corporate executive and they mailed me an AirRave free . Never have less then full bars 3g all around home. You should a- flash to stock using Odin following posts in sprint sextjon . b - call up and try to get an airavana.

Excellent. I will give it a shot at some point today or tomorrow and then let you know how it worked out. Thanks!
So, I restored the phone to stock. Signal is still non-existent on LTE/CDMA mode. Cannot perform Profile or PRL updates. Still no mobile data. I'm guessing hardware failure?
Also, on setup it asks for a SIM card. And at the bottom of the drop-down menu, it says "No SIM card|Sprint" or "No SIM card|No Service" depending on if I am in CDMA or LTE/CDMA.
Also, in the Status menu:
My phone number
Unknown
MIN
Unknown
PRL Version
Unknown
ICCID
Unknown
Seems a little odd to me.
Attempted fully rooting and flashing radios. No luck there either. It's also not wanting to update. Tells me my phone is up-to-date (connected via WiFi). Downloading Cyanogen now to see if it will work in the morning.
And while attempting to flash a new ROM, got the famous "can't copy anything to the device ever, under any circumstances" error.
Update: Got CM10 installed. Still "No SIM" error, no 3G, no data, no LTE. Found some more information on this No SIM error. Apparently a few others have had this same problem and in the end had to get a new phone.
Anyone know anything?

I've been back to stock twice now. The first thing I did was flash to stock. Then I played around a bit and now I'm back to stock again.
Is there a difference between using Odin and Nexus Root Toolkit to return to stock?
Bump
Wow, one day and my thread is buried!
After battling for about a day, I got updated to JB 4.2.1, I can do profile and PRL updates again, but there is still no 3G/mobile data, and I still have zero bars on LTE/CDMA and have to use just CDMA. I am currently stock but the bootloader is unlocked, no root.
If anyone has heard any solution, please help. Also, if there's a difference between flashing to stock with Odin vs NRT, please say so.

Try fastboot flashing your LTE and CDMA radios again. As far as I know, fastboot commands do NOT require root. I had a similar issue.

Indeed, fastboot does not require root. I've flashed my radios several times now in various different ways. I even flashed different versions. I attempted again but with no luck. I have normal service when using CDMA but nothing on LTE/CDMA. Still no data, still "No SIM card" error.
Pretty sure I'll have to get it replaced. I've gone from stock JB back to stock ICS, rooted, CM10, back to stock ICS, rooted, back to stock JB unrooted, and flashed three different radios. I'm surprised I haven't managed to brick it yet.
UPDATE: Sprint is sending me a new phone, for free.
