Well, bought this phone yesterday and its amazin
but there's one thing that annoys me, is there a way to
change the intensity of the vibration on screen button?
You can't change the intensity, but you can turn it off...
Go to settings>>sound>>go at the bottom>>uncheck vibrate on touch.

I have a problem with my xperia play. When I click the power button on the phone works but the display does not light. The phone works because tapping the bar release feel the vibration or if I press play on the widget music it starts. The only solution at the moment is to open the slide of the phone 5-6 times and then press the home button and the display lights up. Can anyone tell me how to solve? I have stock rom with .58 build root. I have used many roms and this problem occurred after installing the MIUI australia. thanks
It's not a Rom issue, I think you need to replace your flex cable or something is wrong with the display, likely the former.

I have this problem when i press power button while i have unclosed
Inviato dal mio Xperia Play
Stock Rom. 58 with root
Stock Kernel
half hour ago, it was ALL good.
15 or 20 mins ago when I was texting. suddenly the hardware buttons touch vibration refuse to work (volume rocker, long press power button, menu, back)
the vibration motor is 100% normal. I still have UI haptic feedback. like sidebar, dialer key press and all other UI haptic feedback all working fine.
Only the hardware button touch won't trigger vibration.
I tried to refresh the rom, kernel but still the same.
I know I could flash the stock rom and test but it would be a lot of effort. So I figure I'd ask here if anyone have this same problem before or have any idea if this
is hardware failure or just software problem?
I want to know if I need to sent my phone back to Samsung to get service.
Thanks in advance.
did you enable power saving mode?
when you enable it the haptick feedback goes away and when u turn it off is stays like that
you should re enable it from the power saver menu I guess

Similar query..
Though I don't use power saving mode, yet touch on vibration is not working.. Haptic feedback is clicked..
Is it because of having navigation bar enabled??

Hi guys I kept having a problem on my xperia s recently where sometimes the vibration and haptic feedback on the soft buttons and keyboard stop working. At that time I was rooted on stock .96 firmware.
So yesterday I decided to reflash using SUS. Set everything back to how I had it. However I'm still receiving the same problem. Sometimes vibration stops when the phone rings or when I type or press the home and back buttons. Then sometimes it starts itself. If I reboot it doesn't help. Sometimes doesn't even vibrate when I press the power button to turn the phone on.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance

Might be hardware problem. ..Check if your vibration is correct using this keycode : *#*#0842#*#*
Hi I have tried your suggestion and it works fine when I do a service test.
Correction: only works sometimes.
Should I buy a new vibration module?

yep...better get it checked to a sony center and see what they have to say
Well I have no warranty left and can't afford the repair cost. I used to work in a mobile phone store myself so I know what I'm doing just haven't had the chance to open up the phone. So I'll try and flash it again and see what happens. After that I'll open up and inspect the handset. I've order the vibration module just in case but I'm gonna have to live with the phone like this for a while due to the holiday period
