When ever I make a call, I listen from speaker what I speak through microphone. I have also used headset bus same issue. There is no lag, but actually it makes some what discomfort to talk. My android version is 4.1.2.....253 update.
Is there anyone else having same issue?

Both my brother and I are having problems with bad call audio quality. Anyone else having these problems or know a fix.
Running stock 4.0.2.
Tried different sim cards.
Both signals was full.
Was talking with my brother earlier today, and he said it sounded like I only used vowels, and that he have had the same complaints.

Had a few different iterations of this problem. My wife had a bad mic and it sounded like "she was under water" returned it, no problem. Now sometimes she sounds just a little weird with the new one. I chalk it up to the fact we live in the sticks of Rootstown OH. Are other people complaining of your problems or are you guys complaining of eachothers?
There are others that have complained as well, but I get the complains when I use my headset as well. Using a Bose QC15 with the iPhone mic/cable.
I have been having issues with echo (hearing back what I say on about a 1 second delay, which can be extremely distracting).
I don't know if it's the phone, my provider, or possibly that the other person has me on speakerphone, since it seems to be more noticable on business calls- or I could be noticing it on business calls more because I'm trying to concentrate and the echo can derail my train of thought.
It's a bit of a mystery...anyone else have this echo or know the cause/solution?
Bad Quality Call Galaxy Nexus (ME TOO)
Hi guys the last two weeks i'm experiencing a weird problem with my galaxy nexus ics 4.0.2. When i'm calling someone i'm hearing a "wind" noise ...it's like psssss....something when i'm trying my headset the "wind" noise became worst, note that i;m hearing the same noise when someone call me ...I TRIED A LOT OF THINGs ... I used other headsets ....i changed the sim card....i tried another provider (i'm on 3g) ...but this noise remain .... do you think it's a problem that it can be fixed with the upcoming 4.0.4 update...should i return my galaxy back and try another one, or reset the phone?
P.S. Thnks in advance, have you heard when are we going to get an update?(4.0.4)
yup. The sound quality is not that great. Some times, I can hear my voice being repeated when I am talking on the phone.
I'm having the same problem. People complain that they hear an echo when I talk.
try turning down the ear piece volume the mic can pick it up if its too loud
What part do i need to replace so I can hear people and people can hear me?
the speakers sort of work when i'm using tango but thats about it. I cant hear when just using the phone on regular calls
In the last 2 days my wife and I have both noticed very poor audio on our calls. It sounds like a garbled voice on the other end, like a robot talking. I am on a custom ROM and she is stock. It is not every call either.
Nothing has changed on our end, and it doesn't matter if it is by Bluetooth or not.
It does not affect how the other person hears us, but only how we hear them. I am thinking it is a T-Mobile issue. We are located in Orlando.
Anyone having similar problems?
Any thoughts on a fix?
Thanks!

Could be your rom or kernel. Do a factory reset.
I thought it could be my ROM, but it's happening to my wife, and she is stock.
So, that's why it's so weird.
If it's happening to you both it's almost certainly an issue on T-Mobile's end. Much more likely than you both having the exact same problem that no one else ever seems to have.

My bother's Xperia ZL started acting silly all of a sudden. Whenever he makes a call, there's a huge lag in hearing the person on the other end of the line. Also, the person sounds like they just woke up, kinda slowed.
It's so bad that when we tested it, at one point while I was holding the ZL talking to him (he was on my XZ), he was entering the room and stopped talking, while I was still hearing him speak. Roughly 2-3 seconds lag.
Is there even a remote chance he might have changed some of the settings to make the sound slow down or something like that?
EDIT: Well, there actually is an option to slow down talk. Imagine that. Wish I knw how to delete a topic.
The only issue I have is the speaker volume too low... Sony has this issue since I bought the phone in June and not firmware has fix it yet. Maybe is hardware related.

The only problem that I have with this phone is that callers keep complaining that they can't hear me. It seems like its only an issue when I receive calls and not when I make the calls. The weird part is that people will complain that they can't hear me at all or they will say I sound like I am really far away. they are like " hello, hello, HELLO!!!" so out of frustration I will move the phone away from my face and be like WTF! The screen will then turn back on and as soon as I talk again people hear me again just fine. So it definitely seems like an issue with the software. I went and replaced the phone at Verizon and since got a new one and the problem STILL exists. Anyone else have this issue at all? It's beyond frustrating!

Don't have this issue at all.
If you don't have a case, maybe bluetooth is connecting to something?
I'd start troubleshooting it, try with speaker, see if some app is taking over your mics, obviously your mic works since its only on incoming calls and you've replaced your phone already.
Try booting into safe mode and testing.
Does it happen everywhere? Or only when you're in a certain area? Make sure you're not accidently muting it somehow?
Do all your testing in safe mode so you'll know if it's app taking your mic.

Does the other person hear static? Or nothing at all? For me I can hear then but they hear static.
I've called verizon about this for the past 4 weeks and now they have me doing something every time it happens. After it happens I have to hang up and dial ### and then after it tells me its a wrong number, hang up.
Apparently this is to mark the calls that were bad so they can further diagnose the issue.
I've been through 2 note 4s already and I am actually about to exchange this one today because I'm having other issues on top of the caller issues.
I'd recommend calling verizon and complain about call quality issues and ask them to put you on the monitoring service so they can further diagnose the issue.

Same Issue on T-Mobile
I've had my phone a few days and it's constantly doing this. I first noticed it while using headphones. Then, I noticed it while on speakerphone. Most of the time, the people on the other end can't hear me. However, once today, I couldn't hear the other line but they could hear me. SO frustrating, because I use my phone for work!
