If I was to get a hold of a sprint s3 is there any reason I couldnt open it up pull the motherboard and replace it with my tmo s3 motherboard?

Pretty sure others have done this. Never seen how successful they were though.

Theoretically, yes, but theory is not always the same as reality.

Hi everyone well a while ago I put a huge scratch in my "chimp" glass haha and I'm sick off looking at it will sprint. Buff out the scratches I'm fully covered for cosmetic damage and nuclear war haha but does anyone think sprint wud buff out the scratch or shud I just crack the screen and get a new replacement screen?

How deep/ large is the scratch? Last time I went there I think they said they don't fix scratches larger than an inch. The only thing they did was hand over the asurion insurance business card and told me to call them to just get a replacement phone since I had insurance for the thing

My scratch is circual and spans the entire screen its deep enough for me to feel it with my finger (not nail)

Yeah your probably going to have to get a replacement phone from the insurance company.

That's like saying how can I reverse time, it ain't going to happen. I've even messed up during ODIN still got nothing.

It is very difficult to brick this phone although travismoreno seems to be good at it. he bricked quite a few with bad cables during Odin. I have had Odin freeze many time especially trying to make an EL30 prerooted tar ( didn't happen). And no brick.

So you want to fully brick your Epic?
If so use odin as if your flashing a modem and check repartition. It should be bricked after that.

Well I just got this s3 and cracked the screen already. I have the insurance so if I go to Sprint will the fix it? Give me new one? How much$$? Thanks

Sprint will probably fix it

I don't think they do repairs so they go through the insurance (asurion).
You pay a deductible ($150)
Then they send you a phone.
Since the s3 is new, I think they'll send you a new one, rather than a refurb.

Dam 150 and you have to wait that sucks. O well on my way to see what they say.

Another one bites the dust... hail to the bulky case.
Sent from Pluto.
Another quick question when I pulled down my status bar my wifi is always checked. I unchecked it and look later and it's back on.

I work for sprint and some repair store will fix it but some would cause of the glass its high priced and hard to put on ... so they do t want to risk damaging the phone .. best of to get a replacement.. however it will be refurbished.which doesn't mean its bad. good luck

You should really ask for your money back.
Yea that sucks, every time I sell/buy a phone I meet the person at a Sprint store to verify the esn. Hopefully you can contact the seller and get your money back, but I doubt it. There are people that will buy it on Craigslist though, just be honest about the esn, there are plenty of non-sprint users that want the phone.

mobiletechvideos.com is the only place I'd recommend to anyone. Fast service and awesome turn around time.
Of course, it would be worth your time to make sure your device is actually hard-bricked first... might as well ask around here first to see if your device can be recovered by other means before sending it off somewhere.
That's exactly who I sent mine to to fix it

Short and sweet: they won't support it. I've never heard them make that distinction. Wish they would but its easy to flash back to show as if it never was

Ya it's almost stupid it's so simple just wanted to know if they had a stance one way or another thanks for the input

I had to take back my old captivate so I flashed back to stock and they swapped it with no issues. You are right, its a small pain but it works.
