Short and sweet: they won't support it. I've never heard them make that distinction. Wish they would but its easy to flash back to show as if it never was

I had to take back my old captivate so I flashed back to stock and they swapped it with no issues. You are right, its a small pain but it works.

We also need ISIS SIM cards.
I'm in Salt Lake and isis has a list of available retail stores:
http://www.paywithisis.com/where-to-use.xhtml
I'm rooted of course with 4.1.2. This might be worth going back to stock to see if it's any good.
Hopefully I'll have something to update on the 22nd!
my question is, when are the isis ready sims available for the users outside of houston and SLC? do we have to wait until the end of the year to get them?
Hardly seems worth it. I'll wait till this technology gets out of the gimmick stage till I'm in.
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
Maybe I read one of the articles wrong; but my understanding was if you didn't have a device with NFC, then you would need the new sim card to take advantage of ISIS. I need to see if I can find that article again, but that being said, I would never go back to stock to use ISIS.
What I really want is Google Wallet, and not have my carrier dictate to me which mobile wallet I can use.

It said no firmware because there is no OTA firmware update at the time. Nothing to worry about. Let's see what's on your phone. Can you screenshot a pic of your build number, like this.

You should really ask for your money back.
Yea that sucks, every time I sell/buy a phone I meet the person at a Sprint store to verify the esn. Hopefully you can contact the seller and get your money back, but I doubt it. There are people that will buy it on Craigslist though, just be honest about the esn, there are plenty of non-sprint users that want the phone.

That's what I heard to the quadcores 16gb ones, which are mainly the international ones, they mentioned that there were no claims for ones in the US.
Yes, this is for the International version only. Quit freaking out. If it affected us in any way, you would have seen a million posts about it.

I'm amazed I've lasted this long without rooting, but like others above I'm holding out until I can 'fully experience' the stock software Samsung tossed out there. I didn't want to drop 600+ on a new phone and not at least give the new stuff a try!

Yeah I was wondering the same thing. I was under the impression that the only way you could get a bad imei is if the phone was lost or stollen.

Well back when the s3 originally came out we had a bunch of people randomly lose their imei. I would show up as just 0. And there was no efs folder to back up because it no longer contained imei.
