Kinda I would say.. But I just ran thru all the setting in there.
It's pretty much, Google+, Google NOW, Google Maps, but takes you right to there setting instead of opening the app up.

Hmm. I have none of that garbage. Might disable and see how it goes.

Ok if you have none of that then just uninstall it. No need for it. But you do use Google search right? I'm quite sure it's just some add on to some app..
Ok after doing some investigating.. You can't uninstall it. If you go into setting the scroll down to your accounts click your Google account. And the same functions come up that's in that so called app.. hope that helps YOU

If by Google search you mean the blue icon then no. But if you mean the search bar in browser than yes I do use it.

it seems like it is a place for the settings of google apps at one location. in mine, it shows setting for google maps, google + the social app, google search, google ads, and settings for google location. you can change settings for each of these 'separate' apps all in one convenient spot is what it seems like they may have done here with this google settings 'app'

Google play error??

Getting errors when trying to open Google play. When It happens to load it gives me another error when I try to install any app. I've tried wiping caches and reinstalling Google play.
Edit: I activated a new xposed module and rebooted to find its working for me again. Atleast the downloading an app part. For people who are having paid app problems please wipe the Google play apps cache/reboot. If that doesn't work try a reinstall of Google play/reboot.

See if it shows your paid for apps as unpaid . Like you never paid for them. Because that's what's happened to me.

I stumbled onto this thread doing a Google search, I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Admire 2 and can't update any apps tonight due to error 500 in Google Play, I've never had this happen before.
But judging from this thread it must be an issue on Google's end.

Chromecast Cast Screen not working

Just wondering if anyone has gotten this to work. I have a Tmobile d851 with the latest Google play services and I've tried resetting my chromecast, nothing has worked. I can cast all the normal supported apps though. I also am running ART not sure if that could be the issue. Any ideas?
