why do I get wifi flicker on off when I install yr rom ? It looks great but....tried wipes , dalvik cache wipe and different gapp files but no go. Can u pls help me ? I like the looks of the rom so far and besides I like TW.

i dunno man , i guess its problem with your handset , i have tried twice and i didnt get the flickering wifi , try reflashing clear all cache and factory reset

I assume jw4 would mean gingerbread; the reason is that it's been atleast 5 months since I last saw gingerbread on my phone so I've lost track of what's the lastest GB out there.
If that's the case, there's absolutely no comparison between GB and ICS...they are in absolutely different leagues...GB is like the fashion style of the 1980s....nice to remember about but uncool to wear...ICS is the "now"...ICS beats GB in almost all aspects be it battery life, phone performance, network signal, data connection etc etc....the only disadvantage whatever ICS roms, for the i9000, is that they don't have Samsung's ****wiz framework...albeit some roms claim to have it...At the end of the day, these are just pure ICS with a ****wiz skin on it...
So, the only loss, as I see it, is that you may not be able to get all samsung apps to work as you have it in GB...but who really wants their crap apps...when there are far better alternatives....

external sd card is not detected by the music player. Any one experiencing this problem.

I "ported" this using a 2min porting guide for NOOBs.
I have used this for sometime and by far no problems!!
And any fixes apply according to the CM7 Rom (bt restart fixes etc..) so refer to CM7 thread!!

Nope not just the Launcher many things are Modded to give an an iPhone like experience...

Its cool. A tiny bit laggy, but looks nice. Newest kernel installed, I like that. I think its good enough to use untill cm9 is good enough. Thanks.

You can get the Widgets on the first home screen... If u miss the widgets soo much just install another Launcher(mayb MIUI with a iPhone theme?)

just installed, and so far so good.....rom runs very smooth and fast.
only one annoyance that i've noticed is that it very often pops up with an error about updating the system because it's not official version rom? this may be resolved if we can find a way to manually prevent the phone from checking for updates?
any devs know if a way to do this?

wifi problems shouldnt be hard to fix
a few things need to be identical
wifi set up in init.rc
wifi set up on build.prop (must match wifi board set up in boot.img)
wifi related bins (wpa_cli, wpa_supplicant, possibly wmdsi, wl)
system/etc/wpa_supplicant (must match)
really shouldnt matter which set up you choose (eth0, or wlan0) but all of those above must match
playstore is probably build.prop, but if not, could be drm related stuff in framework.jar
does primo use an internal sdcard or just microsd?

micro sd and yea all should be easy to fix, pretty sure the sdcard is just a matter of adjusting the framework

Ok... tested.
I have problem with the touchscreen, but I fixed it for my test run. If you need the touchscreen fix, let me know (I can see on your screenshot, there is a circle when you click/touch the screen).
Here is the fix for the sdcard. Flashed it in recovery.

No problem mate. Not really a feature, need to change one or two files in usr folder but cant remember well... maybe the synaptics-rmi-touchscreen.kl
Anyway, attached here the whole usr, flash in recovery; it should work (I tried).

or as it will not be used anymore as said in the comment

Installing Oxygen ROM
Press Thanks Button , Rate The Thread and Give Review { Optional But Highly Reccommeded )
Download oxygen-3.0-{DATE}UNOFFICIAL-p350.zip to your sdcard storage on your phone.
Boot into the recovery through whatever method you choose (ROM Manager, Power + Volume Down, ADB etc...).
Back up your existing installation.
A wipe is required when first flashing Oxygen, however, unless otherwise stated, no wipe is needed to upgrade between versions.
Select Install Zip from SD Card.
Find the oxygen-3.0-{DATE}UNOFFICIAL-p350.zip file you downloaded earlier.
Choose Yes when asked to continue.
Wait for the installation to finish.
Select Reboot.
After initial reboot, reboot a second time and you're all set.

I'm back on cm7 again. Because browser didnt start, xda app didnt start either. Phone stopped and had to pull battery. Tried install boatbrowser instead and same result.

Bro you didn't wiped it ! just flash the rom and have a wipe all it will be fixed i m using oxygen 3.0.0 with xda app and no fc's

You need Full wipe! it is not same android version

I tested your rom and it's really nice.
I have about 70-75 MB free memory and it's very smooth but Google Play doesn't let me install anything.
When I try to install it I get an error 921. I reboot multiple time and I wipe all as well but always same issue.
Did you experience such a bug?
Anyway I'll go back to Oxigen GB

PA GApps won't flash
PA GApps flashing fails. It says it's for the P6 and not for the Mate. Can you repost the PA GApps for the Mate. If not will any KitKat GApps work?

Can't believe this is a Beta. Only the first day running on this ROM, so far it's GREAT!!! Not experiencing any lag. Its much faster than any other ROM I've tried and I've been through them all.
Really loving it.

Have you tried the official Mate KitKat rom? How does it compare?

Testing from yesterday, I found this bugs:
-when network connected it never shows H+ always H
-often soft reboots
-when Volumes are set to 0 if you take a photo or screenshot the shutter sound is there(this bug is present with all custom KitKat ROMs except for Emui3.

Yes I did try the official KitKat, it's a memory hog. My Mate slows right down takes long to load apps and when you have multiple apps open they sometimes reload and self close. I loved the functionality of the new official ROM and also the one with Kang VIP, but truth is my Mate struggled with those ROMs. At times it was quite frustrating, waiting for keyboard to come up, taking pictures and having the camera self close in the middle of it, opening FB and waiting forever for it to load only to have it self close after.
I was really happy to see this ROM because I was trying to go back to an older ROM after being frustrated by B321.
I don't know how they did it but this ROM manages the use of the Mate's 1 gig memory very well so there are no lags or any of the things I mentioned above.

After a few days of testing this ROM feels very nice. I use the PA Nano Gapps package, Sound works, the only problem i have is that i lose the Internet conmection when im on wifi. It stays connected to the wifi, but i have no imternet connection. I had this problem with other Roms too.
Is there a possibility to change the Position oft the home or back button? I cant find this feature.

Well I figured out that if you tap the shortcut to bring up all quick setting (the 4 squares top left) then tap and hold on the quick settings icon you want to move it will get small. At this point you can move it to where ever you want to in the quick settings.

SD writable
Hello guys,
I can't find an option to set the picture save directory on the SD card, i tried on both default and google camera and nothing. Do you know where is this option? I don't know if this is related to famous KIT KAT not letting APPS to access SD card, i hope not. Also i installed a fix through play store but nothing happens.

My Phone crashed!!!
Been running this ROM for quite a while now (I lost track), this morning though I started getting FC on everything. The notifications just kept on popping up. My only option was to do a full wipe and start over. I have no clue what lead to this but I love this ROM so I'm going to try again with it.

Think I figured it out. Think there was an update for whatsapp I downloaded using Aptoide that kept on reinstalling itself over and over again that corrupted my os
