[Q] Help! - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

I have successfully unlocked, rooted, and overclocked 3 AT&T Galaxy S3's. Now for the question, "If they are branded with bad ESN or MEID will they still work on another provider?"
Yes I am a total newbie so please don't laugh at me or make silly remarks on my thread ok guys? I really need to know the answer and if yes they become locked or whatever is there a way to fix this issue?
Thank you. =)

well basicaly rooting is like getting admin acces on pc so i doubt that will make any difference

[Q] Unlocking the New HTC EVO 4G

I know, I know, I know...
I am a member of a few different forums for other things and there is always a neb that comes on and asks a question that has been beat to death.
I have heard that God kills a kitten ever time someone post a thread before doing a search on what you are trying to get answered. So for my sake, God's sake and that poor kitten sake, I did read through a lot of post before I had the sack to post this question
I am posting this question because there seems to be a lot of different answers to a lot of different questions, so, I was hoping for very direct answers to these questions that I know have been asked plenty of times...
Here it goes...
I have purchased the HTE EVO w/ android 2.2 and I have had it for about 2 weeks.
I want to root my phone, which is my first ever smart phone.
This is what I would like to happen...
1) I want to be able to have the restore point so that I can flash my phone back to stock so that if something happens the warranty will still be good.
* Does this save on my home pc or sdcard? Or Both?
I have read that you need to download here not there(ruu...clockworks/rom manager)...no here not there...If you download anything but this you will not be able to get it back to the stock setting and Sprint will know you have rooted the phone...The whole thing started to get a little confusing.
I am a very simple person so I am hoping for a very simple answer, if there is one.
1) How do I root my HTC EVO that has the android 2.2?
2) How do I make sure that I can have a recovery point incase I mess it up (brick, etc...)
3) How do I make sure that I can flash my phone back to the original settings just incase I have to send it in to be fixed for some reason, which rom manager lets me do this?
4) Is it legal to do this?
5) What might be the biggest no-no to do before, during and after you root your phone?
Thank you in advance for taking the time to read this.
Visit the wiki, that should answer most of your answers.
1. Rooting voids warranty
2. Always perform a nand backup if you want to revert to your previous state.
Visit the wiki, the instructions are simple.
EDIT: Actually the wiki will answer all of your answers.

Sorry for the silly ? But what is the wiki?
It is a sticky in Android Development called Evo Wiki. You have to put effort in searching, I believe in you!

DO NOT RUN UNREVOKED OR YUO COULD PERMANENTLY CORRUPT YOUR PHONE!!!!! at the moment, there is no brainless way of doing it. you need to manually set up the adb and usb drivers, and then do some coding work, along with downloading like 1/3 gig of files.

[Q] HAcking evo 4G

I just found this. Wondering if this (http://www.techofweb.com/technology/root-android-gingerbread-gingerbreak.html) would help us to unlock and root out 2.33 evos. I unlocked my last two smart phones (windows os) , but the android is still new to me.
Sadly no; the gingerbreak didn't work on the evo.
Yeah it wont work i test it and nothing!
Hack
Thanks to both of you. Wanted someones input before I try on my phone. Don't need to brick it.

[Q] Bricked T-Mobile GS2

i bricked it by flashing the villianrom 3.0. i realized my mistake and what i want to know is 1) Is my Phone COMPLETELY bricked? 2) Will a usb Jig work on a COMPLETELY bricked device?
I do have the option of easily replacing it, but that is the last resort thing. I want to know answers to these questions, not our $0.02 on this. i was fully aware of the hardware differences but did not know the VillianROM was for ATT GS2.
Sorry wrong section. Can someone move it to T-Mobile Galaxy S II section?

You should get a jig and try it out to be sure. If it is completely bricked you can get it unbricked.

Flashing question

Sorry if this is prohibited here or in another forum.
I am going to buy a Sprint Note 2 with a bad esn from eBay.
I want to get it flashed to verizon prepaid unlimited.
I know it can be done.
1st question: can I keep my current Verizon phone number?
2) can I flash it myself (I do own a doner phone its a broken Droid 3 (verizon 3g) that will not power on it is a refurb I had replaced last year.)
3) would it be easier to allow someone to do this for me? and would anyone here be willing to help me flash it remotely for a reasonable fee?
4) after it has been flashed and working will I loose any functionality?
5) and will installing roms on this phone brick it or mess up anything if it does get successfully flashed??
Thanks so much
Chris

[Q] Really need help

Hi Everyone, I am extremely new to rooting phones but I am very interested in rooting my phone. I have a verizon Samsung Galaxy note 2, SCH-I605 running 4.3,with build number VRUEMJ9 , I have been all over the place trying to get as much info as possible before trying anything because I am afraid of bricking my phone. I have read that the bootloader cant be unlocked so that means I cant install CWM. I was interested in trying the saferoot root method. I have been searching the forum like crazy but it just keeps confusing me more. I understand that since the bootloader is locked that I cant install custom ROMS, And once you root a phone can you turn it back? I guess if anyone can help me out I would really appreciate it, or even point me in the right direction of where I can learn more. Thanks alot in advance guys. Hope everyone is having a good day..
Yours is a Verizon Note 2... which is different from the international N7100.
Check out http://galaxynote2root.com/galaxy-note-2-root/how-to-root-verizon-galaxy-note-2-sch-i605/ and see if it helps.
This is where many users have been going to learn to root their device since Galaxy S2 times.
