Hey
How can I increase the speaker volume on CM10.1 ROM´s ?
There are many MOD´s but I dont think that they are for HTC ONE X.
I used v4a (viper4android) sound app, there's a setting for xtra loud on speaker section. I found this very good when on any aosp Rom

Hey all ,
Ive changed some files to improve the External/Main Speaker of the phone
It works on all (stock) sense 4 (based) Ics roms
Dont know if its work with cm9 or cm10
If you flash or put these files in.cm9 or cm10 you may have noo sound
Download:
https://rapidshare.com/files/1727655632/LOUDER%20EARSPEAKER%20AND%20PHONESPEAKER.zip
Before you begin take a nandroid backup
and flash
if you dont hear any diffrence then put the files manually to the system/etc
Main Speaker : SrS3D space reduced (0.800 -> 0.500) , TruBass Disabled , Gain Limiters reduced
ear speaker should be a bit louder

Could you explain what exactly has been changed/modified from this MOD? How does this affect Beats Audio, etc?

This doesnt change the sound quality on the headphones.
The phone speaker is louder

Truebass is disabled
SRS3D space reduced
Gain limiters reduced
..
Iam working on it
And try to make a flashable zip

Viper4Android Settings
For Phone Speaker:
[FIR Equalizer Bands]
27hz -12dB
55hz -9dB
109hz +6dB
219hz +9dB
438hz -3dB
875hz 0dB
2khz +1dB
4khz 0dB
7khz -6dB
14khz -3dB
[Extra Loud]
eXtra-Loud Enabled
Effect Strength Moderate
Max Gain 8x
Max Output -1dB
--
This gives nice loudness in phone speakers while making it more listenable, calibrated using distance of phone held at arm's length, hand semi cupped around the back.
If you tend to use the phone to play music while screen is facing down, consider knocking the top 2 EQ bands off a few more dB.

Hello,
I'm using the latest nightly build of CyanogenMod 10.1 on my international HTC One X. Everything is great except sound - it's not as loud as it used to be on original ROM. Can anything be done to improve the sound loudness?

There are some good audio mods which you can use to enhance audio. See this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1923630
You may try some equalizers to enhance your audio experience the way you like, too.
Can you specify which sound output is too quiet? Back speaker, front speaker or headphone audio?

I thought AC!D just has problems with Stock roms on Endeavoru, and it is compatible with CM 10.1.
You're probably right, the device is not listed in their compatibility list.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
hi im having the same problem. it's not just the speakers. if im not wrong it should be the entire audio output. im having lower sound volumes with both the speaker and my headset. anybody have any ideas?
Yeah pretty basic question. The sound of my x is like a mouse. Anyone found a way to increase the volume?
Thanks in advance

Well..._
For me the sound is quite fine, but if you want it to be louder there are some options...
You could download a 3rd party music player and mess around with the equalizer a bit...
The other thing would be that you install a mod when it comes out for sense 5 or install a custom rom like ARHD 31.0 that has plugins and mods available for sound enhancement.
I don't know which audio mod suits my needs. I'm on the maximus rom, and experienced that the speaker volume is a bit low. I don't use headphones, just the internal speaker. Which mod do I need to enhance and improve the volume. Is it the viperx mod, the purexaudio mod or something else?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
There is no viperx mod only viper4android and that has nothing to do with the Rom...second, Pxa is onlyfor headphones...use viper4android fx app and you can tweak the speakers....just download install the app then install in the app the drivers reboot and go into app then phone speaker and you can tweak
