Do you have old version of maps?
Never mind, I'm on 4.1.2. Apparently they released another apk for 4.1. Works now.
Thanks!

Yes you right , i added the 4.1.2 file
The difficulty in using offline maps is a huge issue for me - phone signal where I live is sporadic at best!
How the hell do you get offline maps with this new version?
http://www.ghacks.net/2013/07/10/how-to-save-offline-maps-in-the-new-google-maps-application/
Select map area to save and then in search box type OK MAPS

Works nice except for the part of the menu button being only half there. Looks clean and a neat feature I didn't notice before was the way to move the map around.. All in all its a nice update.

New version is great, showing real alternative routes, eta, distance, roadworks, dynamic routing, improved graphics, still got offline cache "type OK maps" loving it, just takes some getting used to

The zoom in and out buttons are now gone
I don't care much for double tapping and tapping with two fingers.

@Hybrid properties users
In case you're running any ROM with PA's hybrid properties features or any such similar one, try out PlayStore in 720p mode at 220 dpi.
Did Samsung design team get involved in this huge icon/tiny text atrocity...massive fail Google
Works great thank you MsElise.
Thanks for the apk!
but...awful layout...especially the new BIG icons....that's very annoying for me...reverted to v3.0

It's loading and scrolling is a bit faster than previous version, but new UI is not so nice.

Guys, I installed 4.0.27 and can't access the Films and Books categories as can be seen on the snapshot below :
http://db.tt/bL38JTEx (sorry i did not manage to insert the picture)
However I get some Films and Book suggestions which i can browse... I cleared the playstore cache, but it did not fix the issue. I tried from the app Google Play to launch the app store, but was redirected to the store in the internet browser... And from the Book app, which redirects the search to he store app, i can't find any book, only apps or music...
Anyone has a fix/work-around ?
Sorry fot the double post (see here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=40811883&postcount=48 : this one was at the wrong place - xperia phone)
Thanks

Nice I'll check them out
Edit: Do all the new themes work for the S3?
I tried the Bluemonko and it works fine on the S3, its pretty nice.
I love it but the Elegant Theme has the signal bar icons slightly hovered over the rest. I believe it's an XML error of some sort. This was flashed overtop BlazerRom. If you have any solutions, let me know! Willing to test!
Can we get someone to pull this as soon as it's available? That would be awesome.
Would be nice, 2nd this.
