Please use this thread for discussing issues with Pyroskins.
However, a message to everyone throwing around terms like 'scammer' - the fact that Pyroskins completed a huge number of orders for other people proves that they were not simply out to scam people, if they were then no-one would ever have received the case they paid for.
Clearly something happened that has caused the current situation to come about but the indiscriminate use of inflammatory language helps no-one.
Ordered one. Hopefully it will arrive quickly. I could justify three times the shopping cost for ups so will have to wait patiently here in the UK!

I hope you have better luck than me. I order mine about a month ago. A week went by with no shipping information. I emailed multiple times for a status. I ended up calling and left a VM. The next day I received an email that the package was to be shipped. Another week went by and the tracking information showed electronic shipping info had been received but nothing else. I again called 3 or 4 times and tried to contact the seller with no response. It appers they made it seem like it was shipped but still nothing. I ended up finding one on ebay that's exactly the same and it shipped to my house within 4 days.
I'm to the point where I'm going to get my back involved for a refund. I'm very patient as I know things come up but this was really dissapointing to me...

Oh!! I don't think that you will be getting your case.. I too ordered it a month ago but haven't received the case yet... I have sent them several mail, tried calling the customer care but no replies at all.. So now i am requesting a refund through Paypal...
Glad I read the entire thread-I was set to place an order until I did. They definitely seem like a company to avoid-taking people's money and not sending anything? Ignoring customer service emails and phone calls? Screams scam to me. I'm sorry for the people who got burned.
This is weird. I did not have any issues with my case shipped from pyroskins ~8 months ago. Maybe the actually got bust...

My case was here in less than a week, this was about two months ago. Maybe they went broke and/or lost their stock?...

people looking to order a 360 case for their tab, you can find a couple of good ones on ebay !! So why not try there ... Its better than getting burned by Pyroskins ...
Yep, this is a scam. I ordered, then received a shipping email, then nothing.
Contacted USPS and they have not received anything on the shipping number.
PyroSkins won't respond to emails or phone calls.
I have escalated my issue with Paypal.
allthough people are giving warnings about pyroskins, I would also like to give a warning about this case:
I bought this case on ebay, and now I have newton rings.
7 months of using the pyroskins clip case = no issues.
1 week of using the 360 case = newton rings.
And since I bought the tab refurbished from a dealer in the UK, I do not have any warranty... ****.
I might try calling Samsung later today to get this fixed.
I've been using the 360 case from pyroskin for 6 months now on my Verizon tablet, no such issue. Could be a quality control issue though during casting of the plastic as i have two of them and they both fit a little differently, one is more snug than the other. Service from them back in January was excellent, not sure what happened.

Thanks for the info.... I am yet to receive my case from eBay... hopefully, I will not experience the newton ring problem!!! Keeping my fingers crossed.....
I have since removed the tab from the 360 case and put it back in the clip case. The issue seems to slowly get better. The newton rings have now disappeared and only rarely appear when I take the tab out of my bag. But they disappear on their own after a few seconds without me having to push on the back of the device. Yesterday, when I first noticed the rings, I was able to "control" them. I found out where/how to hold the device to make them disappear and where to push to make them re-appear. The later now no longer works, they appear shortly but disappear on their own.
I assume that the case I got (while not technically broken), seems to be a little bit too tight for the tab. Might be a rare situation, though as a lot of other people don't have any issues with it.
anyways, back to my clip case. phew
So, I thought I should give a quick status update: After not using the 360 case for 4 days (allthough I should clarify, I did not get the case from pyroskins, but from ebay. The case looks the same so I assume both come from the same source manufacturer) the newton rings are gone for good. I can not get them to re-appear at all.
Anyone able to get a hold of them yet? Feel like Im beating a dead horse but it doesnt hurt to try...

Nope, I havent been able to contact them ... I have escalated this with Paypal .. Suggest that you do the same.
Btw, I got my 360 case from eBay. So far it looks like a good case. I hope I don't experience the Newton ring problem that another user reported.
I have escalated with paypal as well and have also filed a complaint with the local police department for fraud, as the address listed is a home in Chino I believe.
I received my Note 2 a few days ago. I found no screen defects, although my volume button is loose (and was confirmed normal as per other XDA member's feedback). I have a tiny black marker above the earpiece on the bezel (also confirmed by another fellow XDA member), and I know it sounds like I have OCD, but $700 dollars is not little. Also, I should mention, I purchased my device without contract from T-Mobile on their website, and the retail box (pristine clean condition) came in a bubble wrapped bag instead of an actual box I was expecting. Lastly, while un-boxing, I noticed I didn't find any plastic clear tape to remove on the sides of the bezel like I did in the previous Note (International version). My Note 2 only came with the T-Mobile Logo on front and Plastic on the back cover. Today, I tried registering the product on Samsung's website, and came across the message that my phone's Manufacture Date is 11/30/1993.
Is whatever I described above something to be concerned about? Or am I just being too anal. What about the warranty? Is my device refurbished? Should I have purchased at a retail store instead? My phone apparently came from Kentucky (Origin on UPS Scan shows Louisville, Kentucky) with a pre-paid return label to Forth Worth, Texas.
Relax..... That's not a refurbished device. You can check under the battery and it will be listed as a refurb.
I had 3 Note 2's with Sprint before moving here. They all came the same way. There's no tape on the sides of the phone. Only the screen and and back cover are protected by plastic.

I have purchased 2 notes from tmobile and they have both come in a padded mailer vs. an actual box. The inside boxes were sealed though, I had to slice through seals to open the box. I recall on the international version the back plastic actually wraps around a little to cover the sides, I think it was the same with the tmobile version as well. You can't rule it out entirely but it seems unlikely you got a refurb, in my opinion.
Thanks for the replies :good:, what about the power / volume button, little black mark, and most importantly, the manufacture date. Have any of you tried registering your devices yet? Please let me know. Thanks again.

Do you even have to ask? Consider the source, the world we live in for a moment. The fact is some devices are sold "New" even if they technically need be listed as refurb. If you feel so confused, instead of asking internet strangers about your own device, I'd return it online and buy one in store if it makes you feel any better. But at the end of the day it's just a cell phone

I'm not feeling confused; its really just the manufacturer date I am more concerned about. It might be just a cell phone to you, but $700 dollars invested into a machine like this is not little. The world we live in now requires most of us to think twice before we buy. Coming to the Note 2, Every Note 2 sold has minute issues like I stated in my first post. I might be just being OCD, lol. Also, It's a Samsung thing--QC at its finest.

Hey I'm I'm your side I'm just saying more action less debate about your money...if I purchase something online and I have doubts I don't need to consult with strangers on what to do. As far as the device heck yeah return it and buy in store if it tickles your fancy, our see a doctor about your ocd. In regards to the manufacturer date..this is not the first nor last gadget to have a funky date some are more accurate others are internal...not a big deal.....this technology clearly didn't even exist back then, uncommon sense tells you it's just a Samsung filler, just a date they used. Even if the date was this year..who cares lol enjoy your phone

Watched a couple of unboxing videos on the T-Mobile version, there was plastic tape on the sides as well. I'm just guessing it varies by batch. Lol.
Anyway, too much plastic. I think thats the biggest flop of Samsung; Plastic

:victory: I don't think OP actually thought the device was manu in 93 xD Probably just concerned it doesnt say 2011 or 12 like it should . lol
OP MADE IN CHINA is all you have to see to answer your questions about loose this or that . This isn't the first thread I've seen about loose buttons on this device. . China makes junk , period. We're kinda lucky as many of these devices function flawlessly from the factory. My and it apears few other radios were bad too I had to get a replacement . Fact is lot of these devices are OK. But chinese quality control just isnt on par with even korea or the phillipines.
Thanks AFAIK, everyone's buttons on the Note 2 are loose, even those Made in Korea (as per XDA Note 2 General Forum Members). I've had the Made in Korea Note and Galaxy S2 before and they both sucked in quality control and were Made in Korea. Its not country of manufacture, its Samsung and their best friend, Plastic. Why not just use rubber? Lol...

mine arnt . thats the only thing on this phone that is ok . I guess your right on the samsung. I've predominantly used HTC throughout my smartphone experience. And their build quility is top notch . maybe Ill trade this thing for a one x or something. I mean the device itself is cool but .
Loose buttons , gps not working very well on more than a couple devices , terrible radios the fragililty of the device itself . I mean I cant tell you how many times Id dropped the MT4GS and I never had any problem with it.

I've noticed quality issues on the Note 2, notably the bezel. The bezel is a throwback to the GS2 with the cheap electroplated plastic. Too easy to scratch, and out of the 3 or 4 I have had, most of them suffered from some sort of manufacturing defect. The GS3s bezel is actually constructed much beter, and I was hoping it would be the same. Instead it's identical to the Note 1 or the GS2.
I wonder how Samsung is able to sell something like this of very poor build quality. It's very shocking and insulting.
Very poor build quality? I have to disagree with you on that. They are built different, lots of plastic that's all. As far as I know anyway. My 3rd Galaxy phone model, and 4th total. I've never had an issue with any of them. However, for $700 I'd expect perfection regardless of where it's made. If you aren't happy definitely contact them.

What are you even talking about??
I've gone through a few Note 2s now (long story), but all of them arrived in a very thin bubblewrap bag, and had the back plastic wrap on loose/wrinkled/something. I'm not sure why that happens, but they were all new and unused. One had a power button that didn't work right, the other had a deep nick on the side (ironically, near the power button) - and that was painted so it was definitely a defect, and then another one had a bad speaker.
The 4th still doesn't sound quite as good as I recall the 1st sounding, but everything otherwise is great and fine so I'm sticking with that one.
Also, I think the front edge of the ring that goes around the sides of the phone has paint that chips, possibly? I think those with the white Note 2s could provide more info about that, because I also see tiny black specs there sometimes, but I can't tell if it's dirt/dust or just the paint, or what? It's really hard to tell since the grey ones are painted really dark hehe.
Awesome phones though!
Also noting: All of these were made in China, and one says rev 1.1 on the box and had a slightly clickier home button (made on 12/3 I think?) but all were virtually identical otherwise. They're really nice phones, just.. not HTC or Apple quality hardware-wise I guess.
So the first phone was new and had crackling speakers. Second phone that was sent to me was refurbished and had a smudge underneath the screen so it wasn't cleanable unless I opened the hw. Third refurbished phone had a glass gap between the screen and the base of the phone, so there was bleeding light coming from the back of the phone. Now T-Mobile is sending me a fourth refurbished (most likely) phone.
All the replacements seen to be refurbished.
Imagine. . .I played for S-Off each time and a screen protector each time. That's around $140 ($25x4 + $10x4) USD just on replacement bs.
Anyone else having these issues?
I unrooted, restored stock ota, re locked, and re s-oned the first two devices (fourth device is coming 6/1/15) to restore original (warranty) status despite all these issues being hardware related. Keep in mind I'm no newb to phones.

If you are not new to the phone section, you would not pay for s-off everytime before you check the phone for defects or whatever. So you could save a lot of money,
if you check your device with Pixel test and eyes before you set it s-off
Other then that, i do not have any problems with the phone. Its a huge improvment from m7 build quality to m9.

I already checked for defects. However it was only noticeable during the night. As for the smudge, it can be taken off with a microfiber, however once the oil of the skin touches the screen it comes back. All of these were freak incidents.
Pixel test has nothing to do with my problems with the phones as I have no dead pixels.
Like I said, definitely very aware of my phone and its uses. I've had every phone out there and do numbers of different ports for audio. So its not like this is my first rodeo.

T-Mobile is very generous as they credited me $60 at no hassle or haggling. They've sent me several replacements with no hassle. However they said if the third replacement they send me is defected, they'll allow me to choose a swap of the M9 for another phone. . .which is not what I want because I like this phone.

Sorry to hear that you're having issues getting a unit without defect. I ordered my developer edition phone a few days after it was available and it showed up in perfect condition. I had read about issues regarding gaps at the screen and body, and a "clicky" area at one of the screen boundaries, however my phone was free of all of those. My old M7 had one pixel that would only display in white, but I kept it and was very happy with it.
Bottom line - I hope you get an M9 that you are happy with, because this phone is awesome. As hamdir notes in the sticky thread at the top, the upcoming firmware update brings great improvements to daytime camera performance and battery performance. HTC continues to show themselves as a company dedicated to delivering a great experience for their customers.

You appear to be the exception and not the rule with regard to defective M9s. If you hold out for an M9 that meets your standards, I think you'll be very pleased with the device. Good luck!
I ended up with 3 of them at one point. Got to choose between two grey and one gold silver. One of the greys had phucked up speakers. Kept it for a few weeks prior to paying for S off... What kind of momo would pay 25 USD the second they receive the phone. Ended up paying $450 cdn for one after all the credits they gave me for the hassle.

If it makes you feel better, I went through 3 Galaxy S6s with defects before I went to the M9. Yeah, I'm not happy with this onr, but it's more the camera and the heat that's ruining my experience. I'm just not sure why the hell you paid for S-Off 4 times. After the first, I would have waited to make sure the phone was FLAWLESS.

Hello boys and girls.
Would you be so kind to explain me how to understand if my htc one m9 is refurbished? Tried ##778# code and it does not work for me. And my phone is not rooted also.
Thank You in advance.
Best Regards,
So the third replacement they sent me (fourth phone) was also defected. So I finally called @HTC and explained to them what happened. They're sending me a new device, not some cleaned up BS used device. The one they will send me is going to be brand new. Good guys HTC (warranty).
Anyone know how to get rid of the annoying recall pop up on the note 7 sense it was updated it constantly keeps doing it . Idc about the recall my phone is fine never had a issue of it overheating ect. Just wanna get rid of that annoying pop up
Why not just exchange it? It's not going to cost you anything. And you will have a new phone.

No need to exchange it the phone is working fine , nothing wrong with it only reason they are wanting you to exchange it is because it is better to be safe and recall all then only the ones that are bad , pretty much Samsung is CTOA . I see no need for me to exchange it
There is no way to get rid of it, unless you exchange it..

Mr Smith is saying to exchange it because it's best to exchange it.

I have been trying to exchange mine since the recall notice. This is all I get from Verizon
"We want you to be happy with your device. The Note 7 is available now. Here's a link to get you started: http://spr.ly/6011B7vPc . Do you have any other questions?"
Problem is, I purchased mine from Costco. They still don't know when they will have them. Lesson learned, don't buy phones from Costco.

My wife's OG Note7 and my OG Note7 have both been fine, no issues whatsoever and no explosions, fires or anything of that nature. But we're definitely exchanging both of our original Note7's for the 'safe' Note7's. There's a great chance nothings going to happen to your phone but, you run a much higher chance that something could happen with one of those Samsung SDI batteries packed inside it. Grabbing a new one with the ATL battery packed inside would be the safest thing to do as it is officially recalled now. I had Verizon FedEx 2 day me 2 brand new 'safe' Note7's and they'll be here tomorrow morning. I'm going to transfer everything to my new phones and then go to my local Verizon Corporate store and drop off both original Note7's. All the best in keeping your original Note7.

Yeah! It was because I got into contact with the Verizon Executive Office a few weeks back. I got in touch with Tami Erwin (VP of Verizon Wireless) and one of her personal assistants listened to how annoyed and dissatisfied I was in how they were handling the recall process, as it wasn't easy for me to get a loaner, the people I dealt with were not on the same page and I was told all sorts of different answers. That's why I'm still stuck with these original Note7's. Anyhow, I told her it was going to be difficult for me to drive around from store to store once new stock got in. I knew it'd be a chore waiting in lines to try and track down a black and silver Note7 and possibly coming away with nothing after waiting in line (like some have and unfortunately walked away with nothing for their time). I got a newborn and a preschooler that I'd have to bring with me, I didn't want to get jerked around and have to travel store to store and possibly be left without both because I had a feeling it'd be the way it is now. Competing with Verizon selling to non note customers on top of those who want to exchange for the new Note7 is making this a cluster f**k. So she told me that she wanted it to be convenient for me, apologized for any inconvenience and mentioned that once the new stock comes in to call and have it shipped to me and then just bring the old Note7's to a Verizon store. I saw a few others on here the other day mentioning they had theirs shipped to them, so I was like F this and I called in to have it ordered to me too! At first they weren't wanting to do it. I mentioned they are currently selling it to all customers online and I need these recalled units out of my hands and told him about my situation and who I talked with in the executive office and that they were looking to make it as convenient as possible for me. So I was put on hold and he talked with a manager I believe and the rest was taken care of. I told them this needed to be a free of charge deal as it's been inconvenient with no real 'line' for people to sign up for in order to get their original unsafe Note7's replaced with new 'safe' Note7's. Honestly, it's messed up that new Note7 owners who don't have the recalled Notes are able to go in and purchase the new 'safe' Note7's as it's a saftey hazard for those of us who still have a recalled unit (as I tried swapping it out but wasn't successful a few times and so I gave up. Plus I don't have backup phones available to use so I wasn't going to just turn in two phones and pay for service). Once the recalled units are all returned or very close to it, that's when the general public should be able to purchase one. But right now it is a free for all, who ever can pay for one gets one. Just don't let down with them, keep on them, let them know you're a dissatisfied customer and this whole ordeal has been a mess. If you have to, tell them you want to speak with a supervisor, keep asking to work your way up if you are not satisfied.

Right on - I am in the exact same boat as you. Identical. Wife and I both have Note7's, black and silver. I did stop by a local store last night and all they had was black Note7's, so I swapped mine out. Of course they have no idea if/when they will have silver. What a cluster. May have to raise a stink and have a silver mailed to me. Thanks for the info!
Why would you NOT exchange it? The phones that exploded didn't have any issues either, until they EXPLODED lol.

Glad to hear you got yours exchanged, sucks the Mrs still has her original Note7 though, hopefully you can get a silver one for her soon. This was my concern, they never seemed to have a real game plan or mention of giving current Note7 owners first dibs to exchange for the new safe Note7's. Now you're running around trying to find silver and have to compete with people who want a Note7 on top of those who just want a new safe one. It shouldn't be this way at all. A major majority of the potentially unsafe Note7's should be exchanged first then allow new sales to the general public. But yeah if you can't find a silver one soon, call them up and try to get them to overnight you a silver one. I just got a notification that both of our Note7's are on a FedEx truck out for delivery. Should have them here in a few hours.

Received my two new Note7's around 11am this morning, dropped off from FedEx. So happy to have a safe Note7! Nice and new and it works just as well if not better than my original Note7. Now I just need to setup my wife's new Note7 and then go bring the original two back to a Verizon Corporate store. The piece of mind and hopefully being able to keep the old chargers, S-Pen's, tips and connectors is well worth doing an exchange and having to set everything up again. Have you or anyone you know taken advantage of the $25 bill credit? Do we just ask for it once we turn in the OG Note7's?
Simply.wihld liek to know if the Razer from Three has any bloatware at all?
Any downsides from buying a Razer from Three guys?
Apart from a Three logo on boot no there's nothing
I can confirm that too. That's it! ?
I'm running the UK Three build and I've noticed no bloat ware from them at all. Three have their WiFi calling already enabled in the settings and the odd few texts about service and recommended apps it's very clean.
Thanks to you all ?

Can't atm tried to get some from Orzly it went missing in the post and they informed me today they have non left and won't have any stock of them until the end of the week.
I bought some other ones of eBay earlier so have to wait and see if they arrive and good quality, I wouldn't personally pay the £25 razer want for a piece of glass.

Well what I was told today must have been a lie....That company always screens dodgy to me half the time I try to get on their offical site it redirects me to some **** or doesn't work.
The phone is great although I have a problem with build quality on mine (speaker grill is coming away from the phone) and the vibration motor trust me you'll want to shut it off but apart from that it's good. If you're looking for a phone with amazing speakers look no further if you don't care about the speakers look eslewhere i'd say.

Yea ive heard about the vibration motor issue. I tend notnto use vibration.
What about the speed and over all responsiveness. Is it as precedent as the reviews state. Where they say its the best most responsive Android theyve experienced to date.
Apoligise for my typos my current phone has UI issues beyond my control. Thanks again

Yeah it's responsive and fast just as smooth as the pixels if I'm honest so you'll have no issue there but the camera isn't great atm remember that with the choice too.

But don't care
Just want a blistering experience otherwise
Still finding my ground with the phone and OS, I did go and buy the rugged case and razer screen protector but a grain of fluff got trapped during the apply stage to pulled it off in temper breaking the screen protector - they really arent for me.
The phone seems to be fine for general use, the camera isnt amazing but works, the battery is fantastic for on the go and have had no issues with battery life so far.
Performance on 4G and Wifi i havent seen an issue with so generally if i see no problem things are fine.
Generally Happy with the phone spec and performance however in the back of my mind i wish i went with a Google Pixel as I dont like all the issues with updates and have been too use to iOS kinda lifestyle - 1 update rolls out to all devices at once regardless of model and carrier.
Still an Android noob
Is coming with three app what is from play store and another app that I disable it . Don't know what this does . I am presuming for service like wuntu and three app .

Yes the android ecosystem is different to iOS due to multiple manufacturers of the hw.
Your right if you wanted the iOS type update facility then Pixel is the connoisseurs choice

@dillalade thanks for that hopefully Razer stick to the word on 2 years worth of updates and their regular enough. Fingers cross Three UK handle these updates in a timely manor too as so many company's involved in updating a OS these days Google > Razor > Three UK.
I really wish that it was more simple like iOS same things just apple dealt with the builds themselves and carriers didn't get the chance to adjust settings for their company services.
Just really like having the power and battery at hand for when its needed and I am not a heavy gamer I have hearthstone and apart from that Netflix and other google apps its pretty clean once i uninstalled the pre install apps from Three UK. Mind you i left the billing and data one as I handy on my old iPhone and actually a reasonable app.
