My brother-in-law has a Sprint Galaxy S2... I'm gonna help him root and explore Android. Is his phone called the "Epic 4G Touch"? Or could someone direct me to the proper forum?

Settings/Device/About Device SPH-D710 if you see that then it is a Sprint Epic 4G Touch. Word of advice, search, search, ask and search. Happy flashing to you.

wouldn't this be a subsection of the GS2 forum?
I think it makes more sense to give it its own forum because it's the only CDMA variant. The rest of them are GSM, same reason the first Epic got its own forum.
I would really like to run a stock phone with Gingerbread, without rooting or modding. I use my phone often for Netflix, and would love to watch Hulu+ as well. If I can force myself to give up my qwerty keyboard, I would like to know what phone would be worth switching to from the Epic and why you would recommend said phone. Thanks.

You should ask this in the android q and a. Asking here is just an insult.
That being said, go for the nexus s/prime

Asking in Android Q & A would hardly give me the insight of past or current Epic 4G users. That's why I posted here. I apologize if you were insulted, didn't realize I would encounter thin-skinned users here. While you lick your wounds, I'll continue searching for useful information. Good day.
I have an ET4G, Nexus and Epic on my lines. PM me and I will answer any questions. I will say that the Epic holds its own and is superior in certain areas

Dont think that samsung does not listen. From what I have read on this subject on similar android source blog type sites, the backlash and emails from consumers is what lead to their thought reversal...

Maybe it wasn't posted here because this is the Epic Touch 4G forum? I believe the Galaxy S forum is ------------> that way.

Questions go in Q&A and you say you have S2 and posted in S3 section.
The only S2 that Sprint put out was the Epic Touch.
Moved to there
