I am rooted, unlocked, and on stock. what i want to know is what are ways to have wireless tethering?

wifi tether and mods work with some issues, like you have to reboot after using to get wifi working again.

all the wifi tether apps are being weird. none are connecting or if they do they usually drop the connection after a few minutes. tried barnacle. doesnt connect.

PdaNet works great for me. I am on stock, though. Don't know how it works otherwise.
I can get the wired usb tether to work fine but it seems to be slower. Using FoxFi but it seems to mess with my phone. I have NEVER gotten wifi tether to work, irregardless of my phone version or rom, so I was wondering what people have installed on both phone and comp that allows it to work. My wireless card enables ad-hoc so that doesn't seem to be the problem. I just want a simple wifi tether, not a hotspot because i don't want others to use it, that's what FoxFi is for when I have guests. I just want to get wifi tether to work to see if it works how I'm hoping it does. Any help is appreciated
Does your computer support Bluetooth? BLuetooth tethering sounds like it more like what you are looking for. I've honestly never heard of a "WiFi" tether outside of the hotspot usage.
I am trying to get my Gnex to be able to bluetooth tether. I am stock ROM not rooted and would like to stay stock but I am willing to root. Currently I have tried to tether through Foxfi to my Nexus 7 and my computer(windows 7) both without luck. Anyone successfully used bluetooth to tether? How did you do it?
Don't bother... BT tethering doesn't work well on the GNex. Search around there's a few posts on the topic.
tl;dr. it'll work for a few mins then the connection will drop.
I've rooted the sN2 and dl the wifi tether from the play store but for the life of me I can't configure it properly to work. On the GSIII I managed to find a setting that worked but for the gn2 It's not working can I get some help please?
There is no fix for this yet. Wifi tether and hotspot hacks do not work at this time.
Has anyone has success getting any root wifi tether apps working so far? On my G3 if i try to run one it just enables the native wifi tethering. any other way and it crashes the phone.
