I've rooted the sN2 and dl the wifi tether from the play store but for the life of me I can't configure it properly to work. On the GSIII I managed to find a setting that worked but for the gn2 It's not working can I get some help please?
There is no fix for this yet. Wifi tether and hotspot hacks do not work at this time.

I can get the wired usb tether to work fine but it seems to be slower. Using FoxFi but it seems to mess with my phone. I have NEVER gotten wifi tether to work, irregardless of my phone version or rom, so I was wondering what people have installed on both phone and comp that allows it to work. My wireless card enables ad-hoc so that doesn't seem to be the problem. I just want a simple wifi tether, not a hotspot because i don't want others to use it, that's what FoxFi is for when I have guests. I just want to get wifi tether to work to see if it works how I'm hoping it does. Any help is appreciated
Does your computer support Bluetooth? BLuetooth tethering sounds like it more like what you are looking for. I've honestly never heard of a "WiFi" tether outside of the hotspot usage.
I am am on Boost Mobile, Rooted, running flashed ZVC. WiFi Tether will not connect to my PC , it first says " limited connection" then drops completely. I've tried FoXFi and get the same result. I tried it on my POS old Galaxy that I use for Hotspot and it works fine. I had a ZTE Warp on Boost and both WiFi apps work fine as of last Friday. It has to be the phone. Any help on this will be much appreciated. Thanks..:laugh:

Hey there. I have a sprint S4 Mini and I'm trying to Wifi-Tether it.
I've used Clockworkmod Tether to USB tether fine, but I need to be able to wifi tether instead.
I'm rooted and I've tried Wifi Tether and the TreVe mod with various settings and I can't seem to get anything to work.
Anyone had any luck?
Has anyone has success getting any root wifi tether apps working so far? On my G3 if i try to run one it just enables the native wifi tethering. any other way and it crashes the phone.
Has anyone else had issues with the WiFi hotspot that week or two? It worked fine on foxfi and then just stopped. It'll shows late for just a second and then no data. Has anyone that issue or know a work around? I mainly need it to tether via Bluetooth to my Galaxy Gear.
