Hi all,
I hope someone can help me. I have installed CyanogenMod 10.1 ALPHA (Build 6) by arco.
At the moment it's impossible for me to take a not blurry photo, because of the HDR function. I want to disable this function but I really can't find the option for this. Can someone tell me how to do it?

HDR feature was disable since cm10.1 alpha 2 because our phone not support HDR. So I just want to know how you can said HDR function make your photo got blur, because I don't face this problem..
Note : I use cm10.1 too..

that's strange. I definitivly have HDR here, because the camera takes always 3 photos (but it takes several seconds, that's why it's always blurry) and computes a HDR photo. And I'm using definitivly 10.1 alpha 6.
Could it be that I should have done a complete erase when updating from alpha 2 to alpha 3, 4, 5, 6 ? Maybe delete the cache, or something?

Have you turn off burst mode feature in camera? And did you use 'auto' in focuse mode?

yes burst mode is off and focus is in auto mode
If you never make clean install in every update, better you make pristine install. And format system is a mandatory. I think maybe that was the system that not cleaned up before updating rom. And i prefer pristine install in every update. It worth it

Thanks. After doing a pristine install the HDR function wasn't here anymore.

I flashed official CM7(latest nightly) and I liked its performance. But I found out that the camera app was poor and it is not as good as the one in Samsung Stock firmware. Also, the panorama and smile shutter option is missing and there is no way to use flash in video mode. So I want to ask a few things...
1)Is there any good panorama apps in the market or somewhere else which is like the one in stock camera and which takes good pictures without blur? I need it very much!
2) Is there any way to enable flash in video recording?
3) Is there any app for smile shutter(I use it rarely anyway, mostly for showoff!

Ok...i have used long before. Let me see if it has become better.
Edit: It is not bad but panorama is blurry and the processing takes a lot of time.

Hey guys, I have a note 2 N7100 now with the latest Omega rom. Problem is that my camera is green, I mean I can take pictures but can't see what I'm taking... Before Omega I used CM and the camera worked but often I had to reboot before using it otherwise I got a black screen...
So I can't find a rom where everything works, espacially my camera and that's kinda annoying ><

Are u still using exynos abuse app? Green screen used to be caused by the exynos abuse app to block the threat at that time. On latest roms exynos bug have been fixed. No more need to use it unless ur on an older base version. Ask the rom developer for answers.

Came out with a working photosphere Camera!
It leaves your old camera as is and adds a new camera shortcut in app drawer
Seems to be working on 4.1.2 Touchwiz stock based roms
So far it works with Team Infamous rom and I have tested it myself on JMT JB V4 as well
*EDIT: XDA user Sojay tested on CM based 4.2.2 and reported it working

Really... I was playing with it for an hour and took about 6 full 360 pics with no issue...

That's because this zip was extracted by a nexus phone, but you can always use your regular app for that.

Yeah, that's what I meant............Recording does not work, it just shows green "noise"
This installs a new camera app alongside the regular one .... Would suggest removing your current before flashing to avoid any confusion

camera not working
I downloaded the photoshere camera and installed it using clockworkmod recovery. It installed fine. Camera works but no photosphere icon. Is there a work around? Custom rom installed on my phone is cyanogenmod 10.1/android 4.2.2

Do you mean no icon in the camera app or the home screen? The icon is in the camera app if you thought it was an actual app

Thank you for this. I had another photosphere app before, but it required me to change my build.prop to look like a Nexus which is not ideal. This one works great without having to modify the build.prop.
The camera flashed just fine but the camera gets stuck everytime i switch to photo sphere. On JMT 5

Hey guys. I am very impressed with the new halo feature. I wonder if its coming through PACMAN ROM too. I would really donate for that. I cant now leave halo feature from paranoid android but if pacman adds it ...i dont even think one sec to switch rom
If anybody knows it coming soon please let me know
And other than that im having issues with my cameras hdr fuction in paranoid android rom 3.5 . its unable to snap hdr photos.any solution?

I'm sure once halo becomes beta pac man will incorporate it.
As far as the camera you can always install the cm10 camera.

I have three suggestions that I don't know if they'll work or not.
Reboot and check. If that doesn't work you can try clearing the gallery data.
If those don't work you can try this camera apk.
It doesn't have hdr. It's really a matter of priorities. I have yet to find a camera apk that does everything yet.

Hi everyone,
I was wondering why is Auto focus in the camera app on this phone not working in every single rom? I think Touch to focus not works with some of the nightly roms out there, but did auto focus ever work on this phone? I don't remember...I really wish the camera preview would auto focus when getting close to an object, without me tapping the display or long pressing the shutter button. Any way we can get this to work? And did this ever work in touchwiz as well?
Another question is that I'm using Sons of Android rom, which is pretty old but has the best performance for me, but this one doesn't have the touch to focus version of camera. What rom has the touch to focus these days? I will download the rom and extract the gallery2.apk from the zip file if you let me know what rom has the feature.

Thanks for letting me know. I would like auto focus, but definitely not to the extent that I would go back to stock..I just can't live without themeing, especially the status bar. I really don't like the look of touchwiz status bar..

I understand what you mean. I think iPhone has this feature and so does the MIUI ROM. Sadly I've heard no other camera that has this feature

Yeah, I don't think any 4.2.2 roms have it. But they do auto focus when you click your pic. So not sure about the title of this thread.

Hey, I really appreciate your reply, but I think you may be wrong..almost all recent (and a lot of not recent) phones have the feature..I also have a HTC One V which is a low end phone where they release it at the same time as One X and S, and that phone with 5 mp camera has this auto focus feature that works really well. It focuses really fast when I move the camera close to an object. And apparently we also have this on stock roms as well? So.. why don't we on the aosp roms..

Hmm..i haven't used much 4.1.2 roms, but I did use MIUI (the new one) and I don't remember it having auto-focus. And not all 4.2.2 have touch to focus. Only newer nightlies started having them I think. I'm on Sons of Android, which is 4.2.2 but released and ended updating in March this year, but this one doesn't have touch to focus Nor Auto focus..

I was saying 4.1.2 roms should have it...unless the dev changed it. I'm on northern touch infamous, its touch to focus.
And I said 4.2.2 roms don't have it. Unless some have started using it. But none I used.

Hmm okay..yes I mean auto focus just by pointing my tiny affordable htc one v has this feature but how can gs2 not have it and for sure most phones that come out these days have that feature..

I'm running a T989 with CM10.1 (which is 4.2.2) and the default camera app has tap-to-focus, and autofocuses when you go to take the picture. It still looks out-of-focus in the preview, but the version in the gallery looks fine.

Yea, I think you are running pretty recent version of CM10.1, right? I remember having it with some 4.2.2 roms but didn't remember which rom it was. I will try to take the gallery2.apk from my cm10.1 zip file i downloaded before. Thanks. And I guess we won't be seeing autofocus in the preview without touching anything..

For what it's worth, I sprung a couple of bucks for CameraZOOM, and have found it worth the price as a camera replacement. Most notably (for me at least) is it has a macro mode and better focusing options in general.
