Mine got stained, it also scratched the back of the phone. A thoroughly bad case.

not sure if this is the correct place to post, but i've been thinking about this for a long time
will the TP2 have paint peeling issues like the original TP did ?? i recall my friend telling me several months ago that the paint from the corners and sides started peeling after 2 weeks of usage, which is kinda ridiculous IMO. for those of you who've used both phones, based on the (i'm assuming new) texture/coating of the TP2, will the problem return ?? i'd check myself but i've no basis for comparison as nobody around me currently owns the original TP..
my phone's a week old and right now i'm just using the leather holster that came with the phone but if this is going to be an issue i'm probably going to have to get something more...
TIA for your input!
anybody ???
The screen half is metal so that ought to be fine. Any problems with the back you can just buy a new one, they cost less than most holsters.
I never had any paint peeling issues with the TP.

i'm actually worried how it will look like after a few months. anybody who's got an xbox 360 pro would probably know what i mean with the drive tray. looks kinda blotchy after a few months. and its not like i touch it or anything, it get that way from just being there...
Are there any waterproof cases available for this phone as of yet? Would someone be so kind as to link me if there are?

I was jamming in the pool last week.. I was at the water park, waiting to go down, and checking facebook.. funny stuff to see the kiddies want to get a pice of it. haha
hmm i seen this before...never tried it out but looks pretty interesting. It doesnt water proof your phone but is suppossed to dry it out thouroughly in case it does ever get wet
Has anyone ever tried this product or type of product out? PLease let me know if anyone has tried this...I figured this thread would be appropriate to post in since it is about waterproof/and phones. I think if the product actually works it might be handy to have a couple handy at all times.

I bought the aqua dry bag, but haven't had to use it yet.
I am looking at getting the DryCase from drycase.com. They have a 100 feet depth rating, that's good for going diving as most everything is 65+ and higher that is worth looking at.
anyone have any reviews on that product?

the purpose behind this is normal silica gel, you can get this from most supermarket in a containner, alot cheaper than the dry bag.
I have also been looking for a waterproof case for my GS3, but not really interested in the film-bag things that prohibit long term use. I know they make some waterproof cases for the iPhone that can be used all day, every day, and I am thinking something along those lines would be perfect for our phones. I go fishing and hunting quite a bit and would love to get my hands on a case that offers some strong protection and is also waterproof.

Hi everyone, I got my 2014 edition tablet today (32GB, white) and I was wondering if you guys are having the same issue I am having. Under the Samsung logo on the back of the tablet, if you put your palm under it and push it feels a bit hollow and not firm/hard. Basically it just feels like the there's an empty space behind the thin cover. Anyone having that?

Mine is the same way. I don't think it's anything to worry about. Although that area is where it gets a little warm with heavy use.
Thank you!

That may be intentional, then, to allow for some passive cooling of the internals not an expert opinion, just a guess.
I winded up getting a new one as a replacement, and it wasn't flexing like the first. But what do you know, the right speaker is kind of loose on the new tablet. $650 and still have the build quality of a $100.

Unless it's causing issues, I wouldn't worry about it.

Same issue here. It even makes a "cracking" sound while holding the tablet, which is very irritating. Not sure if I will return the tablet (also because it shutdown automatically yesterday )
Mine is firm. Very firm.
Hey guys, i have been more fortunate than most of you guys, my tablet fell this morning. But the only thing that happened was the back cover got damaged. It hit a ceramic floor on the corner with the camera. everything seems to be working fine.
Anyone know where i can get my buttery hands on a back cover?
Thanks guys.
Right now ASUS is your only source. Unless you find someone parting one out on eBay.

That sucks, I live in the Dominican Republic, sending it here was costly enough, so getting it out and back will be crazy.
Here is hoping someone has a solution
Maybe it's time for a cover (such as the Poetic ..).
It wraps around pretty good ... maybe (only) you know the blemish.

Yup, it is on the list of things to get sent down, it will just be late.
Been absolutely babying my m8, when I took it out of a very soft gel case I noticed this. Its not a scratch, it won't wipe off, but it bugs the crap out of me. It looked fine till a few days ago. Anyone else seen this?
I'm no Heisenberg, but that looks like some kind of chemical reaction with the aluminium and the soft material and possibly some kind of moisture or humidity. Just my guess.

That is probably the most intelligent reply I could of asked for! You're probably right too! Any idea how to fix it or blend it so it looks better?

Other guesses will probably be better than mine, but what about having held it with fingers that had sun tan lotion (or some other chemical) soaked into them?
Definitely not something like that. I'm just surprised it soaked in / discolored it so permanently.
Oh well. Thanks guys!
warranty!
well i talked to telus a few times and they gave me a new one, letting me keep the old box, charger, etc
never did figure out why the phone discolored, but i'm pretty sure treetolber aka walter white was correct!
just wanted to update so this thread had some closure
