Are there any waterproof cases available for this phone as of yet? Would someone be so kind as to link me if there are?

I was jamming in the pool last week.. I was at the water park, waiting to go down, and checking facebook.. funny stuff to see the kiddies want to get a pice of it. haha
hmm i seen this before...never tried it out but looks pretty interesting. It doesnt water proof your phone but is suppossed to dry it out thouroughly in case it does ever get wet
Has anyone ever tried this product or type of product out? PLease let me know if anyone has tried this...I figured this thread would be appropriate to post in since it is about waterproof/and phones. I think if the product actually works it might be handy to have a couple handy at all times.

I bought the aqua dry bag, but haven't had to use it yet.
I am looking at getting the DryCase from drycase.com. They have a 100 feet depth rating, that's good for going diving as most everything is 65+ and higher that is worth looking at.
anyone have any reviews on that product?

the purpose behind this is normal silica gel, you can get this from most supermarket in a containner, alot cheaper than the dry bag.
I have also been looking for a waterproof case for my GS3, but not really interested in the film-bag things that prohibit long term use. I know they make some waterproof cases for the iPhone that can be used all day, every day, and I am thinking something along those lines would be perfect for our phones. I go fishing and hunting quite a bit and would love to get my hands on a case that offers some strong protection and is also waterproof.

Not a bad idea if you're in a boat a lot (specifically a speed boat or other boat where you get a lot of spray). That said, it has very limited practical uses. These "cases" have been around for quite a while, though, with the various phones.
I didn't know this. They just seem cheaply made. Like a zip lock bag..

They are much thicker than a zippy. REI sells them as well as other outdoor retailers. To market this for any specific phone and mark it up is a **** move.

look into pelican cases. those things are solid. water proof and crush proof. i think you would have to take your phone out of the case to use it, but other than that, the cases work great.

you... THINK? XD
I bought one of these a while back. It works great except for if you leave your phone in it for a while, the case will ad hear itself to the screen protector if you have one and pull it off when you take it out of the case. Other then that I think it's a good investment if you're out on the water a lot. I can use my phone in the case as well.
Anyone knows where can I get the case listed in this forum?
http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/showthread.php?t=3302219
I would love to know but couldn't find out , what a unique look!
Finally found it: http://english.gmarket.co.kr/challe...0000001&pos_class_kind=T&keyword_order=aeonaz
I find it nice and practical as the heat sink idea is good and you can swap batteries without needing to remove the whole case, which is necessary for normal casings.
Oh I saw the case before on another site. But I didnt know that the heat sink was a sticker and that this itself acted as a battery cover! Now its not that helpful I feel since I constantly change my cases.
Seems good.
I'd love to see if the heatsync really works haha. Play angry birds for 20 minutes without it and then 20 minutes with it and see! haha.
does anyone know of a site we can understand so thaat i can buy it????????
yes, also waiting for the polarbear case, look like the seller in korean

Hey guys I have some good news. I emailed Life proof asking if they have plans for making their case for the S3 and new iPhone and this is the response I received:
Thank you for your email. Our LifeProof design team is hard at work designing cases and accessories that can accommodate the majority of devices and applications out there, including other smartphone platforms such as the Android, HTC, Galaxy and others. You can stay updated on all of our product updates and releases via our Facebook Fan page at http://www.facebook.com/lifeproofcases. Thank you and have a wonderful day!
So hopefully it shouldn't be too long before we see some of these cases hit the market. Or at least get some news.

While I would be all over a case from lifeproof, I wouldn't get your hopes up. That response is the same canned one they have been sending out for months. They keep saying they are working on other phone brands, but have yet to come out with anything. They even posted pretty much the same thing on their Facebook Page like 8 or 9 months ago.
Try SGP products, such as Argos providing full protection. It's a vertical-flip leather casing. It also gives a pure leathery feel.

The sgp stuff is nice, but many people are looking for a waterproof solution for kayaking, snowboarding, etc. Leather isn't exactly up to the task.

You know a lot of people say that, and if I were just paddling on a lake or hanging on the bunny slope that would probably offer enough protection. (its what I do when I go to the beach) I really don't think that would even come close to the kind of coverage I would need for my uses though. Class 5 Rapids and zip lock baggies are not exactly the best of friends.
Right now I just leave my phone in my car or stick it in my dry bag and bring a waterproof Panasonic camera, and I am fine with that. It would be nice to have a lifeproof type option though, and I would be willing to pay for it.

If your looking for a waterproof solution and are able to go a few days without your phone or have a back-up check out www.liquipel.com
I originally had my Nexus S treated by Golden Shellback, but they nolonger offer individual sales. but was referred to liquipel as they do a similar treatment.
Ive yet to use liquipel but LOVED the treatment Shellback did on my Nexus.
Basically they nano coated the components of your device so rather then blocking water from getting into your phone, this treatment waterproofs the components and allows the water to flow freely thru your device without causing damage to it.
If you go this route, when you get your phone back just throw it into whatever case you want n your golden.
Why exactly do you need your phone in class 5 Rapids? Texting?

pictures, gps or god forbid something happens and you need to make an emergency phone call ?
Pictures, video, gps, music. No cell reception on the river, have to radio a Ranger station if anything goes wrong. Supposedly US Cellular just got a big grant to greatly expand cell coverage across the less populated parts of Maine, may eventually be able to text from on the water
I have read about liquipel and it sounds pretty good. It is more designed for accidental drops and splashes though it isn't truly waterproof.
A lifeproof case also seems like it would be toddler proof, that would be nice too!

Yeah I'm tempted to try liquipel, but I'm still attempting to persuade Golden Shellback to do it for me since I'm a 3x repeat customer.
Their process is similar to what liquipel does, but rather then putting the device as a whole into the chamber GSB disassembles the devices first to ensure every component is coated thoroughly during the bonding process
Hi All,
I'm going on holiday soon to a sunny island and will be out at sea...
Was wondering if there's a case on the market with a see through back that would allow me to use the S3 under water? If so could you please post me a link to where I could buy one?

Ive never heard of that company "Protector F" the one from amazon ive seen several videos on people actually test it so if it were me i would go with something i trust if my phones going under water.
Easy old trick is a sandwich bag and a little silicone. I know fishermen friends who did that with the Motorola bricks back in the day. But your real issue is the capacitive touch screen. It'll probably not pick up your fingers. Ever tried to use your phone with a drop on the screen? Tends to throw it off.

This one looks promising. I like the idea of the vacuum seal, I will probably be ordering at some point. You can find them cheaper if you look around.

Geez, $40? IMO, for that kind of price, I think it would be beneficial cost wise to use the sandwich bag gimmick as stated above but find someone with one of those airtight bag sealers to protect the device furthermore. That's pretty much what that dry case is anyway, just in a more easy to use, continual usage, professional looking wrap.

Has anybody found a waterproof case for the One yet? I'm looking for something similar to LifeProof for the iPhone or Otterbox's Armor series. It doesn't need extraordinary depth protection, just a few feet for use in the pool.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It's not available to the public yet, unfortunately. Says that it would be added during the manufacturing process. It would be awesome if companies started using this tech!
Selling 1 Black Nillkin, 1 Gray Rock Case, 1 White Rock Case in a bundle..
Changed my mind about getting the phone.
Ships From the USA so you wont have to wait 2 weeks to get it...

I posted this before somewhere and I got laughed at just because I wanted to reddit in the shower. Made the Z so tempting but it's not coming out in the US so it made my One decision easier. Haha.
I just read into it a little but how does that HzO stuff work. The way it seems is it just puts a waterproof bond in every crease and crack. But that would ruin the speaker/grille as well as mess up the buttons so I'm sure that's not how it works. Anyone understand it better than I that would care to explain?

Liquipel has services for all phones currently. I saw them at the CES show and they have proven their technology. Google them and they have videos showing you the process.
Thank you much. Didn't even think about YouTube.

According to their website, this is not true. I was all excited there for a minute. My NS4G spent a night in a cup of water once. It still works just fine but I can't help but think I used any and all good phone karma right then and there.
