Hi, I want to buy a portable charger for those "low-battery but no charge socket around" situations.
I can't find exactly what I'm searching for, perhaps you experts could help me.
Most important:
1) portable (small - like those finger sized)
2) fast charging (1.5A)
3) cheap (no farther than 10$)
I don't need a big capacity charger.. a one charge is enough (2000~2600mAh)
if fast charging pump the price the higher level than I could live with 1A.. but surely no less than that.
I would really appreciate if you guys could help me with that.
Thanks!

I believe those meet your criteria of being portable, cheap, 2000+ mAh, 1A. It's your preference on which one you choose to buy. They are $10 with free shipping so I don't see how you could go wrong with whichever one you pick.
Yeah There are some but they dont fit on your price bracket!
(As u want 2000-2500)
I have a Chinese one works great bought that for 6$ from local market with 800 mah

Hey thank you for your reply,
Could you please share with me the more expensive one you talked about? Not the 0.8, I believe that "emergency" charger should act alike and do it fast.. so higher Amp per hour is important..
As well as portable..
Thanks!
No One PowerPack have a cheap price ...
if you buy a cheap ... than you got cheap quality too
Suggest you better not look the price ... what you need is look the power, function also Quality of Charging

It usually takes a while for spare parts and batteries to show up. Your best bet is probably to check if any other phone uses the exact same battery.

the battery in the GN has the nfc reader built-in. I can't think of another handset that has a battery with a built in nfc reader, so it looks like people will need to wait for a GN specific battery.

They do list the right capacity for the battery, and I would've expected £30 for it considering it has the NFC aerial built in also.

not really a great price considered that with 40$ you can buy this:

sblantipodi I guess you don't know the average cost of genuine mobile phone batteries in the UK then. £30 is a reasonable expected price for this battery.

I found this battery when I was searching on ebay. It costs €8-13($6-9) ex. shipping. Haven't bought this battery yet, but was wondering if anybody had or has already had experience with it?

I have no experience with that exact battery, but most of these generic batteries from china have much lower capacity than the stock batteries. There is no way those are 2000mah, they are too small.

It says "Designed for SAMSUNG", the capital A in Samsung has a crossbar (which the real Samsung logo doesn't use), and it has the web address for Chichitec. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that's not an OEM battery.
I just got the gold battery from eBay. 2430MAH along with the battery charger for charging the battery externally. It was about $8.50 and comes within a week. Just search i9000 gold battery. I'm pretty sure I've got it calibrated. With light use I get up to 13 hours so far and up to 10 hours approximately with heavier use. Amazing buy so far

Read the feedback and decide for yourself. If you are worried about a fake battery then spend a few extra bucks and buy retail.

I think so, I mean 25 were sold and feedback seems good (100%).
Positive feedback usually occurs right after the product is purchased. For products like batteries if you are looking for oem quality, you are best going paying retail at a reliable store. There are to many fakes out there if you are trying to find a real oem quality battery. Most that I have found and tried have been sub par. If you are looking for some extra power as a back up, go ahead and take the risk if you see something interesting. If you need the reliability, spend the extra at the store.
Even expensive 3rd party like Mugen and Sedieo fall way short of their ratings when tested. Google it. I would post a link, but am not allowed to do so yet.
You are gambling unless you go to a store. That is if you absolutely want a real 1800mah battery. There are too many fakes and creating a battery that looks oem is too cheap and easy.

I know you mentioned Amazon, but I wanted to give you an exact link to the product I bought. http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120832462058&ssPageName=ADME:L:OC:US:3160 I really like this product, it only adds a tiny bit to the overall size and adds about an hour of heavy usage. If you are going to be using it non stop I'd recommend figuring out how long the current battery you use lasts under normal circumstances then approximate how big of a battery you would need from there.

This looks like a good deal for me but I had a question with the NFC chip. Will there be an issue with google wallet if I try to use a different nfc chip? I wasn't sure if they were somehow tied together from google/samsung. Thanks for the link and the great info!!
The NFC chip is located in your phone. The only thing on your battery is an antenna. As to the original poster: I've had this battery ever since they started selling and it's totally legit.

Yeah, most such ebay listingsa are fake / not genuine / ripoffs. If you're willing to spend that much, why not buy from Samsung directly?

The batteries I have bought you need to avoid include:

- various from dinodirect sold as NFC but they actually don't have them

That would be great, thanks
You could try the NFC Info. app for this.
Things to try:
- passports with the chip sign on the front
- newer credit cards
- keycards for getting in apartments
- anti theft rfid tags in stores. Common in the perfume section including toilet smellies
- many book stores put the tags inside the cover of books or in a random page
I contacted Samsung UK directly for a replacement. They were unable to point me to somewhere that has the batteries. When I really pressed hard (because I need this battery or I have to buy another phone) they ignored me. I think they are no longer making the batteries but enforcing the patent on the battery NFC design to prevent others from making them. The only people claiming to make them now as a result are fakers. This is anticompetitive of course and it means that if you buy a Samsung phone you can expect it to start to become broken in terms of NFC after a year or 2 as the battery fades. I think the practice has extended to newer phones. If true (that they're using this as a way to break our phones to get us to buy new ones) then I won't be buying a Samsung again.

The shipping is expensive possibly because batteries are no longer allowed in air freight. Some companies accept them, but charge a lot more... or so I heard.
This is very much something to think about when you buy a new phone - buy a new battery while you can get one!
I bought 3 batteries. No one had NFC.
I'm thinking about buying this

Do you think it would work?
