If I look at the battery stats it reports that WiFi is on 100% of the time even though in the advanced WiFI settings I have set "Keep WiFi on during sleep" to Never.
Better Battery Stats app also reports that WiFi is on 100% of the time.
The device is going into deep sleep yet WiFi show as being on during the periods it is asleep. Image of the battery stats attached.

I solved the problem. In the Location Services in settings I disabled the "Use wireless networks" option. Having this on seemed to prevent WiFi turning off even when the device is asleep. I had thousands of wakelocks while this was enabled which used a up a lot of battery even when I wasnt using the tablet

Cannot figure out why its been on all the time. I run my nexus an airplane mode most of the time if that's the cause.

Its like that by default. You can make it turn off when the screen is off in the WiFi advanced settings if you want. Not sure why you'd want it to turn off though, as you won't receive any notifications because you won't be connected...

This app is great and free. I can't believe I haven't seen it before or that more people don't know about. Great for people that are mainly on 3g. Haven't tested with LTE.
It turns off data while screen is off and turns on data while screen is on. (Power Saving Mode "on") Default is set to turn on and off every 5 mins in free version. In donate version you can set intervals manually.
No root needed

Deep Sleep Battery Saver is awesome also. Very simple to use and works wonders with the very simple customizations for the method of turning off data while sleeping and/or screen off.
Hi all, could someone help me please? This is freaking me out. I would like to make work both Greenify and DS Battery saver together but It has been impossible. I've tried all possible configurations. I do not know if the issue is with my system settings or iwhen I set DS Battery saver configuration. I've Greenify and DS Battery saver, both PRO. B512. These are some captures of my settings.
When I turn off the screen, I wait until the first cycle is done and everything works good, Notifications are received. after that, this is a chaos. Sometimes I hear notifications 6 minutes after the screen is off, but when the second cycle is done, no notifications. Please, help me. Thank very much.

Obviously I don't know what's going on here. I've disabled all the system and att apps i do not use. I have Google now off I have Google location off I have turned off the wifi always on. Pretty much anything you can think of to optimize battery on this device. I went to bed with 51% and woke up to 35%. Im so tired this phones battery performance. I can literally watch it drop when I'm on it. And when it's not even in use.

Someone please help me before I throw this POS into the cement in my driveway.
Theres not enough information to help you, post the battery screen that lists your apps, mostly likely it's android system running nonstop, try pulling out the battery
When I turn off the location from notification drawer, it shows turned off, but after I power off and on the screen, it automatically turns on to Battery Saving mode every single time. It doesn't remember my previous setting (fully off/GPS only/High accuracy). Even after disabling from Settings > Location doesn't help. Any idea as to why the location is being set to Battery Saving Mode every time. I even tried removing Location permissions from all apps but with no luck.
My device is rooted and even after removing app grants from SuperSu, nothing changes.
I've made a GIF, plz refer below. Black screen is when I turn off the screen via Power button.
Please help. Thanks.
