So, thread name says all, is there a mod to allow me to use my slider shortcuts and then ask for a pin code? I know it was possible on some ICS builds but I've never seen it on 4.1/4.2 roms. Thanks

I have the latest Fresh Evo running. I enabled the vanilla lock tweak because I despise the Sense lockscreen (anything sense, really.)
Back when I was on CyanogenMod 6 RC1 I could select Pattern for my lockscreen under security settings and as soon as I powered on the phone I would be greeted with a pattern challenge.
Can this be done on Fresh w or without the the vanilla tweaks?? As is, I have to first slide to unlock the vanilla lockscreen THEN do a patter unlock
Thanks in advance.

Hmm, every rom ive used makes you unlock the device first then presents you with the pattern challenge. I used cm6 and I could have swore its the same way...I could be wrong, but at any rate, I dont know how to disable the unlock first with the vanilla or Htc lock screen
Dear All,
I wish to ask is there any solution to remove the original slide unlock ? Im using litenin ROM as well...Please advise.
Thanks.
you could install widgetlocker from the market, its very good, it lets you change the unlock sliders or add widgets etc to your lockscreen.
You can install qqlancher pro and along with it comes a MIUI type lockscreen. Just enable it from settings. Then you can use whichever launcher u want. the lockscreen will continue to work.

You want mods added to a ROM? Editing a current ROM is a horrible way to go about it when you have all this source code laying around. There is currently a help thread in this nexus forum explaining EXACTLY what you want.

There is a mod for the Z which removes the text "swipe to unlock" from the lockscreen, as well as removing the boxes when you unlock the device:

Anyone tried this on our ZL?
Would be very nice....
I asked in the Thread you've posted, maybe we'll get to know...
Hello, please tell me how to turn widgets on the lock screen. I deleted the file HwLockScreen.apk and got a clean AOSP lock screen. But now I would like to enabled widgets.
I know how to edit system files, decompile. If someone has already solved this question, tell me what to fix.
The AOSP lockscreen in EMUI roms is not an android 4.2.* lockscreen but a 4.1 one, which doesnt support adding widgets afaik. Need to port it somehow.

Donä't bother, afaik noone has ported the 4.2 lockscreen to 4.1 before. And the EMUI 2.0 rom will probably have 4.2 aosp lockscreen underneath the ui.
