Prestigio PAP4500DUO 4.1.1 JellyBean root? - Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking

Hi all
I have Prestigio PAP4500DUO and it's upgraded to official 4.1.1 firmware. Now, I'm truying to root the phhone in order to remowe anoying prestigio app's, bet cant seem to succed.
While on android 4.0.4, I rooted it using Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry
Now, even with new version (v31) it's not working. I tried motochopper with no success. Both programs connect to phone, perform functions (backup, restore, reboot etc), but in the end root checker says that the phone is not rooted...
I would install rom from here, but phone needs to be rooted prior to this
Any ideas what to try next?

install CWR, and his rom, use method from this threat here,, no need rooting stock rom, skip this, install then from CWR rom

root Prestigio 4500 4.1.1
kzendra, I experienced same scenario during root with Bin4ry_v31. In cmd promt it say your phone is rooted (after last reboot) but I still can't delete unnecessary apk-s of Prestigio.
Anybody found solution how to unlock Prestigio 4500 with 4.1.1. - succesfully ?

[Q] Rooted with .434 firmware (4.1.2), Upgraded via OTA, Now Unsure on Root Status?

Hello,
I recently got myself an Xperia ZL C6502 with unloackable bootloader. It came loaded with the .434 firmware (Android Version 4.1.2.), and so I rooted using this method here: ROOT MANY ANDROID v31 by Bin4ry. (link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1886460&highlight=434)
Then I updated via OTA to the .244 firmware (4.2.2) thinking that root would hold through the OTA update. I ran a factory reset afterward, hearing that is good for performance.
The strange thing is, now that I've updated, I'm unsure on root status.
For starters, AVG says I am operating in higher permission mode, aka root is enabled. However, Titanium Backup can't get root access permissions, and when I try to manually update the binary of Superuser 3.1.1 (it's the most current version but I tried anyway), it told me root access failed.
Even stranger is that when I load up Flashtool (latest version as of this date of posting) it tells me Root Access Allowed.
Can anybody help shed some light on this issue I'm having? Apps that require root aren't given permission, Superuser doesn't seem to detect the fact that my device is rooted, yet AVG and Flashtool are telling me that it is.
Thanks in advance.
Any ideas?

This may not be the answer you want to hear but if I was you, I would flash a clean 244 build with Flashtool and then root. No more mysteries about whether or not root is there or not ... or if it's a broken root.
You will have a fully rooted latest build of 4.2.2.
Its really easy, only takes 15 min.

Yes I had considered that, but I was wondering if I had encountered some kind of show-stopping bug or what-not. Ultimately, doing a clean flash is a last resort, but definitely an option. If anybody else has any idea why this might be, or has encountered this issue before, please do respond!

In order to root it you have to have the drivers installed so try installing the drivers on another pc or try to figure the problem. If you just want it rooted and nothing more (Custom ROM, Recovery, or Kernel), then use Bi4nary's root. If you want a custom ROM, Recovery, or Kernel, then you have to 'Unbrick' and I would suggest you use hereric's method. Both of them work perfectly

SO I couldn't just root with something easy like superoneclick then Just download TWRP from goo manager and flash roms through that? I HAVE to do that long complicated guide? I definetly am too noob to follow that, I can't even open Bc2appsetup for some reason let alone the rest of it!
Superoneclick will work to root this phone. As others have experienced, it takes one shot or multiple tries to get it rooted. IRC, I had to also install the Android SDK package before it got rooted.
BUT, if you just bought that phone as used it might be already rooted so check that first before you waste your time.

[Q] Root for SM-T215?

Forgive me for asking this question but I can't find a way to root this. Yes, I tried searching but it can't seem to find anything about this particular model.
It's the LTE version of the Tab 3 7.0 if anyone is wondering.
Thanks in advance.
I tried using http://www.kingoapp.com/ to root my SM-T215 and for some reason it did not work for me. Others have tried and had success.
Have you tried that yet? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2473747
SM-T215 Rooting
Am a noob and still learning but if u would like to try my method,i be happy that i could help u.No flashing of roms as my only intention of rooting is to get rid of those unwanted apps and boosting the speed/battery life.
SM-T215 Tab 3 7.0 LTE (8GB)
Rooting: Only Kingoapp works. (Provide root with supersu but no custom recovery)
Custom Recovery for backup/restore: Only TWRP (SM-T217S) flash through ODIN works.CWM gets bootloops.
No custom roms are found compatible/stable for the T215 so far but xPosed framework is an option.

Flash or install universal root. If that does not work install vroot sure that this will have rooted your phone. You can then uninstall remplasarla by SuperSU smoothly and the other

All right.
1. Install this apk. https://mega.co.nz/#!bQwAlJiT!H04MbX-_Hp0o2sYo7RCaFG904_x_2sxLW0rTTsZlLSM
2. Before running the application, you must tick the boxes, usb debugging, allow mock locations, all in development options, and be connected to the internet.
3.-That done, you open the application, and click where it says open das, root, now there waiting to do their work, if all goes well, your phone will reboot.
4.-If you ever leave a message with Chinese letters before or after you restart your phone, give right click option. Always be on that, that is to give super user permissions.
5. as either root, replace the Chinese application SuperSU, qui this. https://mega.co.nz/#!CVx1BLSQ!g1lLufWuy7GzqxuEgYK2MSHFrqS6UGvelfvD24V_aFs
still not working
i tried that and doesn't work. installed the apk click root but still
How I root my SM-T215 (Singapore) at 4.2.2
Excuse me for being a Noob...
To enable USB Debugging is the same as Note 3. Tap on About Phone and the Baseband 7 times (I Think) as almost weeks ago when I tried.
Enable USB Debugging (tick) and all in this paragraph first before trying this website (namely Allow Mock Locations, etc) :
www . mgyun. com / vfroot
Download (立即下载) and Install the software into Desktop.
Need not turn off Tab 3, just connect and wait for the software to detect.
Then it will do its work to root it.
Tab 3 will reboot at least once, and when asked for ADB access, authorize it.
I managed to root my SM-T215 via this method without any knowledge of any programming knowledge.
I hope this helps. Have not checked on Knox yet but glad that I can remove some apps which slows down the Tab 3 LTE
does not work on my SM-T215.
Any other option for rooting SM T215.
Tried various root versions - none works.
www.mgyun.com download the root application and install it in ur pc, once u've launch the app and connect ur device, the app will automatically detect the model of ur device. just click on root.. once rooted, uninstall the chinese version of superuser but TAKE NOTE you need to keep the kinguser tool in your device or else no rooted is being done. once everything is installed, user rootchecker to double confirm that ur device has been rooted. it is not a full root, but it'll do for now. good luck

Sorry for this late reply.
When I had rooted T215, my priority is remove bloatware which includes Software updates. Knowing that Tab 3 hardware will be stretched, I don't want any updates as it will make Tab 3 sluggish.
Thus I am still at 4.2.2. and staying it this way for now.
I am not at 4.4.2+ , so it is still strong with the root.

i've forgotten how i rooted my sm-t215 kitkat. If i'm not wrong, you only need to install/flash only the CWM recovery into your phone, and once you've successfully install/flash CWM recovery, go into recovery and choose reboot now. there will be an option for you to install superuser. choose that and your phone will be auto rooted.
here is the link.

do it at your own risk, i won't be responsible for anything in case something goes wrong as this only based on my memory.
GOOD LUCK

even it is 4glte .this particular option is missing in network mode

How to root on MMB290 ? Suggested Android ?

Hi, i'm searching and cant find easy way how to root Nexus 7 on MMB290.
After update to MMB290 my wife's tablet get very laggy.
Has any one idea how to revert back ?
What android is suggested to this tablet ?
Sorry for such questions, but you know. If i don't find solution to my wife problems she will be very unhappy
Use this: https://autoroot.chainfire.eu/#fastboot
Find flo version, if u have wifi model. Otherwise use deb for LTE model. Go into fastboot, make sure ur device is unlocked, and just click "root-windows". After root is flashed, ur device will reboot a few times, so don't be scared that it is in boot loop, because it is not. That's it.
I've just flashed [ROM] [FLO] Bad Boyz Nexus 7 Stock Rooted | MMB29O | 6.0.1 | Updated 1.5.16

Works like a charm. All the work done for you, all you do is flash the ZIP in TWRP.
Hi.
thanks for reply.
But first of all I need to try root the tablet. seraching easiest way on FLO.
Tried CF-Auto, but don't know why my windows 10 can't find drivers.
Was thinking. How to go back to older android.
Guys. please She's don't give me life. It's crazy when woman get's angry
Try the Nexus Root Toolkit by Wugfresh its very easy to use

The suggestion I made flashes Marshmallow 6.0.1 already rooted with SuperSU 2.66 with BusyBox installed.
Doesn't wipe data. Easy.
This might help with your driver / cant find device issue. Once you have fastboot configured follow the instructions in post 2 and you will be good to go.

hi,
unlocked, rooted and have twrp.
Which rom do you suggest on android 5 ?
Starange thing happens with screen rotation.
I't don't rotates when is unroot. When i install Supersu and root it it starts rotating screen. After updating apps it started locked again.

[Q] Is there a root process for Z1C 14.6.A.1.236 on a Locked Bootloader

Is there a process to gain root access on the last Sony stock firmware release 14.6.A.1.236 (Android 5.1.1) with a LOCKED bootloader???
There are processes for rooting ZC1 Android 4.4, but was wondering if things had moved on since then.
Thx.

Do this - https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=72547776&postcount=6 or downgrade to KK and use Doomlord rootkit, then flash LP prf.
KingRoot works with the latest stock firmware (.236). Just tried it today on my Z1C without any issues.
Just tried KingRoot, not working.
I would also like to get root, but it seems so much more complicated than for any other product which I cannot really understand. I just want to get rid of some bloatware but downgrading and new roms and all of this is not a road I want to go, nor loosing any existing data.
Would be great if somebody has something to make that all easier.

If you're on stock LP, Kingroot should work. Many have done it. There's not going to be any other way to root without wiping data, but you can restore data after rooting.

Scroll down here for many versions - http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/kingro...-release/kingroot-5-0-1-android-apk-download/
I think latest version has worked for some, but maybe try an older one. One thing about Kingroot is that it will sometimes say root not possible, but then actually root it. Also, trying the same thing more than once will sometimes have different results.
I'd have to check to see what version I used, but I think it was whatever the latest version was.
There are two versions of KingRoot, the APK and a Windows application. If one doesn't work then maybe try the other.
kingoroot works , and using pc version looks easier because all kingo apps are easy to delete
ok so it works for everyone than me, hmm, ok have to live with that.
thanks
idk if theres a difference, but i found apks which were "kingroot" only and others named "newkingroot" Ive always only used the last one and it worked fine. Here's a link to the official release. Might be at least worth another try. https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/one-click-root-tool-android-2-x-5-0-t3107461
i resetted my phone and used kingroot and it says it works. also like kingoroot before. I tested with root checker and seems fine.
but as soon as I try to uninstall some build in apps google books. google chrome to save storage on the system it fails.
I do get prompted for root access but using different apps I get the sams result.
is that normal?
fixed all of this, just started with a complete fresh installation
both are working, even if they do not say so after the process has finished.
nevertheless, seems system partition is not writable, even if you are root and have installed dualrecovery - seems the system partition needs to be mounted manually to rw. Havent tested this yet
mount -o remount,rw /system
