** Need an accurate answer on this please **
is 1254-8596 a cda number that corresponds to 1253-9721 si number ??
an indian friend having an arc s i guess could help me better so please let me know or anyone else too please .
i am using arc s and under my phone's battery i see si number as 1253-9721 but as i press *#*#7378423#*#* on my phone and look in info it says customization version 1254-8596(I am on 4.0.2.A.0.62 for some reason). So what i am asking is it correct ?!
1253-9721 is indian generic so though its showing 1254-8596 in my phones in settings by pressing *#*#7378423#*#*, still is it then indian generic that i would have got out of box and all's fine?!
Would highly apprecitate if anyone reply soon and clear my doubt please!
Hi Guyz,
Can anyone let me know the customization version number for Middle east & north Africa region for the Xperia arc S because I flashed my device with stock Generic world firmware & now i want to get the ME & NA firmware back.
If anyone can upload a link for the FTF file is also appreciated. But i prefer to know the customization version, so I can update the device through Sony PC Companion.
Please help.
Thnx in advance.
Small update 8/3.
My phone:
Device:
Sony T3 s55u dual-sim LTE
China Unicom version
19.2.1.A.0.72
Phone was bought from China. Pre-installed sony come with Baidu search enabled android and by default phone block installation of Google Services app, which enable google apps to function in the phone.
This is pretty useless for any English speaker so I want to install Android Lollipop - Cyanogen.
It turns out that Sony has decided not to support this version for lollipop - xperiablog - 2015/03/06
I have also realized that this is probably same hardware (or very close) to C3 Dual model in english speaking markets. I trust that same ROM would work in both of these two simcard phones.
Currently Sony's unlockbootloader software does not regognize these models in their website - developer.sonymobile.com/unlockbootloader/
I've tried to root with:
- Sony's unlockbootloader
- rootkitxperia
All above fails. Phone should allow rooting according to settings. It seems very hard to find any instructions on how to do upgrade successfully.
Any advice/update much appreciated.
Sir,
Please wait until mods will move this thread to the device specific forum for more relevant answers.

Good luck
Also relevant for Sony C3 forums..
Is the model (T3 Dual) I discuss here same as C3 Dual?

Not Sure. It is probably same model, made for Chinese market as a C3.
Hello,
I have been following along with this guide on rooting the phone and I am up to step #4.
[STOCK] [MM] Root Xperia Z5 Premium Sony Stock Marshmallow (Android 6.0) Guide
I am now questioning which stock firmware to choose to flash the phone with from the XperiFirm flashtool menu. I live in the USA and do not see any options as USA being the market for the firmware. If anyone could tell me which options I could choose since US is not on the list that would be much appreciated! The phone is also set up on AT&T as the service provider but was purchased as an unlocked international version.
I am a new user and cannot post links to the image I have without breaking up the site address.

You should first check your custom customization version - *#*#7378423#*#* -> software info -> customization version. This should be the same as your active customization. From that look up which firmware to download. If none match, try the latest customised UK version, but you doo this at your peril. If your fone breaks, you get to keep all the pieces. Standard disclaimer applies, yadda yadda yadda
Good luck

Hi Guys,
I am not from India & I'm looking for information on the India variant. I have e-mailed honor India and got information that looks different from what I have seen online.
From looking at an online seller of the 7x in India, the model number they show is the BND-AL10 version (32GB Version), however the response I received from Honor was the version sold in India is - Honor 7x >> Bond-L22B (32GB) = BND-L22 (which is the same as gsmarena info). From what I have seen online, the box says BND-AL10.
- On the device itself under the ''About Phone'' section what does the model number say? Is it the same on the box and the about phone section, BND-AL10?
Also while reading on this site, the BND-AL10 version is also the Chinese variant, so do the phones that are sold in either country receive OTA'S on similar timelines? I'm guessing the one sold in India is configured for the market, google, etc
- On the version sold in India, does it have a lot of pre-loaded app's that are native for the India region and can it be uninstalled?
- Can OTA updates be received when outside of India or are OTA updates dependent on having an active India sim card in?
- If OTA'S are not received when the device is out of India, can it be loaded manually & how so?
Thanks in advance
Any assistance from the Honor experts from india? Or anyone with info. Assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks*
My device shows bnd-al10, in retail box and in about phone section too.
Yes it has some pre loaded apps but most of them ar uninstallable.(truecaller, facebook, ucbrowser and some games)
Ota update does not depend of sim card, you will get the update when a update for Indian variant is released. Independent upon where you are.
You can update manually if you can't wait for the update to be released for your variant by using firmware finder app. (Instructions are given in that app)

Thanks for the info
In terms of the OTA updates, honor india response was that i will not receive any OTA once the device was out of india, which I found strange. Hence i thought maybe it was about having an active sim. I believe your answer makes sense but not sure why they said no. If OTA's for example do not come to the device, is there a way of installing it manually?
In regards to updates, i have seen on the site that they have a software page, how would one go about updating from their page? Load the file on a sd, etc.. any link for the process to follow?
Sorry for the many questions, still new to this.
Thanks

Maybe as Suggested in the thread is to try updating with the firmware finder app and see if that works since you haven't received updates as yet?
If you do use the app, kindly give some feedback on how the updating went. Thanks
Apologies, duplicate reply
