Thats a good option but I need to have fee exchange emails and calendars on there
Have you tried going into S Planner and see if the Work calender is enabled there?
It works. I have two exchange account and they both show up under the calendar and contacts. Check the settings in the calendar to insure that you have that calendar selected

Just wondering if anyone has been or is having issues with their Gmail accounts? Whenever I use my gmail app, I always have to refresh a few times and then it displays any new mail. Nothing ever comes in by itself. Now my 'synced' account through the HTC mail phone accounts does show up immediate emails.
So I am guessing a problem with the new Gmail app? Should I delete the app and reinstall? Thanks,

Which version of gmail are you using currently?
It's probably your settings. But i'm not sure what you want. Are you saying you don't want your emails immediately or you do?
If you aren't getting them immediately then do you have Background Data and Auto Sync checked? As well as when do you have it set to sync?
2.3.5 version
I am want my emails to automatically sync! There should be no reason that I have to manually refresh my emails every time I log in. I am fully snyced on both of my gmail accounts (bus and personal) so not sure whats up? I just redid some of my sync settings so hopefully that will work.

If that doesn't work you could delete gmail app and search for gmail 2.3.4.1 online. Get the apk and install. Make sure updates are unchecked in market afterwards.

any help? is this possible in gmail and yahoo? using k9
Umm, if you have Gmail and setup your phone with your account it will be pushing it if you set it to!?
hmm so it means in the exact moment i receive an email it gets to my phone?
yes. If not, go to Settings, Accounts and check that Google gmail is ticked to sync.

I am trying to figure out how to accept outlook appointments sent to my business email account.
I am just using the stock email app but am open to ideas.
When I get a email with a outlook scheduled event in it it appears as just blank space. Is there a way to fix this? It is super easy on a blackberry, seems like a big oversight for android...
When I have appointments sent to my work email I just forward them to my Gmail and then save the file that is listed in the email. It works fine so far, I even get reminders of the meeting 15 min before hand.
I do believe it will send a response from your Gmail account that you are attending the meeting. I'm not 100% sure about that though.

I tried that and it was just a blank email….
This is what my outlook appointments look like. It usually has a view and save option. Since I've already saved it it just allows me to view. I'm not positive why yours isn't showing up.
Are you forwarding the email with the actual appointment/meeting time that outlook gives you the option to select attending/tentative/decline?

For example.. My boss will send me an invite… only the email has a subject but nothing attached. The only way I can know that there was an invite attached is if he says in the email or tells me afterward when I ask him "why the strange email?" This is using the native email app
nobody?

Just tried SolMail and it works pretty well. The only downside that I have found during these few hours is that SolMail does not nest conversations.

Gmail is more than enough for me.
Important is you can receive and read your messages.
And yes i add few email accounts in one email client that includes my own domain.

Im using k-9 since 3 years
had the same problem as you (none gmail mail provider )
i found "MailDroid" the best.
you can even consider the free version as it enough for the most users..
but and there's a big but.. im still using gmail app for my gmail account as it's much more intuitive then any other email client i tried in android.
Just though of something, why not just link your account to gmail? I have a few that aren't gmail which are linked to it and it works great.
k9 email. I have been using for the last 2 years.
10 email accounts, many check every 5 mins when I wifi, wakelocks high but I still get over a days use, since I charge every night, its not an issue
with those toggle shortcuts change k9mail to sync only when background and autosync is checked, and turn on auto sync at will, so with mobile data or away, you can trigger when you like.

AquaMail
Enhanced Email. Particularly good for Exchange ActiveSync.
