Just wondering if anyone has been or is having issues with their Gmail accounts? Whenever I use my gmail app, I always have to refresh a few times and then it displays any new mail. Nothing ever comes in by itself. Now my 'synced' account through the HTC mail phone accounts does show up immediate emails.
So I am guessing a problem with the new Gmail app? Should I delete the app and reinstall? Thanks,

Which version of gmail are you using currently?
It's probably your settings. But i'm not sure what you want. Are you saying you don't want your emails immediately or you do?
If you aren't getting them immediately then do you have Background Data and Auto Sync checked? As well as when do you have it set to sync?
2.3.5 version
I am want my emails to automatically sync! There should be no reason that I have to manually refresh my emails every time I log in. I am fully snyced on both of my gmail accounts (bus and personal) so not sure whats up? I just redid some of my sync settings so hopefully that will work.

If that doesn't work you could delete gmail app and search for gmail 2.3.4.1 online. Get the apk and install. Make sure updates are unchecked in market afterwards.

The Rom has been working great so far but I noticed that Gmail is not pushing my emails as soon as I receive them, as it did with the Sense Roms. I made sure that the account setting is in sync, and also went to settings to make it constantly check for mail. Still, I have to go in and refresh every time in order to get my emails. Any one else experiencing this? Am I missing something?
Thanx for your time.
Go into account and hit the sync email also button.happen to me also...

Thank you! It worked like a charm!
So, I use the "EMAIL" app to handle both my work exchange and gmail account. I like that it's combined. Can I delete the GMAIL app on the phone but still have it sync the gmail information (contacts, calendar) via the accounts menu? I'm trying to avoid having the gmail sync in two separate places.
Settings/accounts/gmail, uncheck gmail. Not sure if you have tried that already or not.

I thought about that but I was worried it not syncing the "EMAIL" box. I suppose it shouldn't affect it, as there are separate gmail sync settings in that menu. I'll try that.
Hello how can I config the push email option in nexus?

any help? is this possible in gmail and yahoo? using k9
Umm, if you have Gmail and setup your phone with your account it will be pushing it if you set it to!?
hmm so it means in the exact moment i receive an email it gets to my phone?
yes. If not, go to Settings, Accounts and check that Google gmail is ticked to sync.

I rooted my kf this morning and installed market and gapps. When I now turn on my kf it starts with the yellow triange with the black flme in it. Then it boots up just fine. That normal? I used natemils YouTube videos.
Also I am trying to get my Gmail and calendar to sync. Any help would be great

The yellow triangle is a modified boot loader. You can read more about it here:

Whew lol. So now I have my calendars synced up. Last time I rooted my kf all my apps from my aneroid phone loaded themselves onto my kf. It didn't do it this time. I cant get gmail to sync unless I hit refresh. Did I miss something?

This may be a stupid question but...In settings, under Accounts & Sync, is sync enabled?
[Edit:] Also, are you using Gmail or the email client?

Check settings outside the app. The accounts list should contain Gmail, Facebook, Twitter, etc... if you use those.

No I dont have any of those. I'm running stock rooted. I installed the android market. I did this before and it all synced up well. Went back to stock for a few months and realized I would rather be rooted so I can use my calendar and gmail apps.
Should I reset and start over again?

I say if your running stock rooted try reinstalling gmail and google apps except for the frameworks if that doesn't work I'dstick to the built-in email app

I like manually syncing my contacts and updating my Facebook contacts... So I've always leave auto Sync off.. But i messed around with it the other day and really like getting my emails synced automatically.
But the drain with having everything auto Synced is a killer.. Is there a way to just have my email auto synced or push notification and have everything else manual?

By the way I'm using the stock Gmail app if that helps

Go to settings, scroll down until you see Google, click on that, then click where it has your email (at the top) now check everything you want auto synced and uncheck the things you don't.. I only sync my contacts and email
