Slide out keyboard case for the htc one - One (M7) Accessories

Hi all just wondering has anyone found a slide out keyboard case for the htc one?
I saw a few for the gs 4, gs3 and the iphone 4/4s/5 and I was wondering if there was one for the HTC One

I haven't found one, but this is something I would be interested in for sure

Some like phones for productivity and function.. I for one have my wife and truck for my beauty needs

Coming from devices all having hwkb, this has my interest.

A slide out keyboard case would add some serious bulk to the phone, since it's back is curved.
And that's aside from the fact that physical keyboards belong in museums with typewriters.

You are aware that people have different use-cases and styles, right? Some people have more difficulty than others typing on a soft-keyboard, especially if they're not looking at the screen. While the first point is true, the second is an opinion that you're passing as a pretty hard fact.

exactly
this is not about hw keyboards use being good or bad, but compatible b/t slide out qwerty keyboards.
Seriously don't troll or spam the posts

More or less. I personally prefer softkeys (they're more flexible, and SwiftKey does a good job), but I'm certainly sympathetic to anyone who likes hardware keyboards and I don't mind them much myself.

i have been sending messages to HTC asking them to make HTC ONE with slide out keyboard. actually they are consider it, but i think we need more people to convince them to make HTC ONE with keyboard....... so please won't take more than two minutes to write a message to htc ask them you want htc one with keyboard..... i hope our dreams come true.

Your not the only one, I've been doing this every month or so since they announced dropping the keyboards and doing it on facebook too. I suggest anyone who wants a HW keyboard should do the same.

If not a device with physical keyboard, an official bluetooth keyboard or an official case+keyboard would be very appreciated.

[Q] will there be a good replacement in 2012?

I love my phone but it.s getting a little old
i hope they will release a new good qwerty phone this year.
my wishlist is
bigger screen amoled, it doesn't bother me with the size
better hinges
more power, a real top of the line phone, with hoppefully the same overclocking capability
hdmi out for emulatorgaming
better and faster camera, the focus suxs
and a thick phone with a decent battery, none of this ultrathin crap
ARE THERE ANY PLANS THIS YEAR FOR SUCH A PHONE?

Na, like with the desire z, i'll just wait until the first blond 14 year old girl buys it and then don't know how to use it, buys a iphone instead then sell it to me for little or nothing
I payed 210usd for this last year, almost new :0
(Tapatalk, phone)
I'm also wanting to upgrade this yyear, probably going to get an android tablet next month, in which case, if there isn't a decent phone similar to this by july, ill wait for an iphone 5

the droid 4 looks like they have the right idea, but its to thin, and i dont like when they waste so much space on the front, no need for buttons,
and i dont like when they make some parts of a phone thin and others thick.

bigger screen, bigger battery and this would be mine
As I've said in numerous identical threads, get the MyTouch 4G Slide. We have overclock, our ROMs are mostly Sense-free with CM9 around the corner, and there is no hinge problem.
I don't think mytouch lineup is even available here.. its ugly anyway. Droid 4 would be the phone to get atm, but i'm fine whit DZ for a year more @least..
For more power i'm getting android tablet once the new ones come out. Probably transformer prime, but first, i want to see whats the Lenovo tegra 3 tablet. I would like a proper stylus enabled tablet.

Yeah, given that the source article cites...well, nobody, I have a hard time swallowing it.
However, that concept is interesting--notice the 3 "lenses" at the top. Could this be a hint (or at least, speculation) of a Kinect-integrated WP8 powered device coming later this year?
I hope so--MS really needs to kick it into high gear if they want to make a useful dent in Apple and Android's market share

I actually wouldn't mind something similar to what that concept is.
The eternally continuous long list of apps is annoying to go through. I think maybe that's why iOS and Android have the different pages. There was probably some sort of research that indicated that people get fatigued by endless lists.
And bravo to the kinect idea. That would be great, and would definitely give WP a wow factor above the other platforms (finally).

The three holes in the screen are camera, ambient light sensor, and maybe a flash or multi color led ?

[HUMOR-DEMENTIAL] My HTC ONE X is better than iPhone BECAUSE...

This is the HOX edition of an humoristic thread.....
Here we are just playing and joking!!!
So, if you do not want to laugh, joke and get four "healthy laughter", not to comment, criticize or offend, just stay away from this thread!
This is a challenge between HTC ONE X and iPhone, a funny challenge. There is no comparison based on technical, aesthetic or economic, the idea is not to affect neither the choice of purchase, just plain fun!
Please remember not to offend anyone and joke politely!
Then, everyone can express the cause or the reason why HTC ONE X is better than "apple-phone", preferably in this form:
-(My) HTC ONE X is better than iPhone because....
or
-It's better to buy aN HTC ONE X and not iPhone because....
So, let's start! Here's my reason:
"HTC ONE X is better than iPhone because worms do not come out of the Apple on the back cover"
Now it is up to you if you like....good laughs!
Ah....try to be as demented as possible!

If you didn't mind rigging it, you could just break off the edges to the iPhone one (i'm assuming it's generic bluetooth) and then glue it to a generic plastic case. You'd get the slide action at least.
I gave up on this a while ago, if anything they'd make something like this for the most standardized, popular, generic, whatever Android phone out there. So GalNex or GSIII....
The iPhone always has more cases than Android phones, because there's only one iPhone, and I hate that. Plus almost all if not all Android phones are not symmetrical and flat like the iPhone 4+ so something like a slide out keyboard would be...more difficult.

Actually... since we do have *the* Google Phone, you might draw enough support for a Kickstarter project. Charge people $50 or whatever, and get one designed and manufactured.
Take input from the Kickstarter crowd, then make it! No ****, this could be something, I mean if a load of people already do this on KS, why can't we for something we want?

There's hope for some kind of jury-rigged thing you could make yourself though. May even work if you have a holster and a thin enough bluetooth keyboard to clip in.
If I wind up ordering a BT keyboard I'll see what I can rig up.
I think I will try to merge a case and a kb when I will have the time to work...
I guess Kickstarting something would be a bit much. I look forward to seeing what you guys conjure up.
Don't forget that clearance is tight between the camera and the hump at the bottom, I don't know if that iPhone one will even fit...

When will we recieve a Desire Z replacement?

Year in and year out, we desperately wait for the Desire Z to be replaced by something better (we don't care if its from HTC, Samsung, etc).
When will be the time?
Personally, and based on what we see with the Moto X, it will be the Motorola Droid 5. Yes, I know the Droid 4 was a piece of **** for XDA but now that it is Google's company....Maybe we will see a change with the Moto X and Google's involvement.
No thoughts on this?
I personaly kinda gave up the hope for a better qwerty smartphone
In my opinion from specs the mytouch 4g slide was one of the best with h/w keyboard, but from buildquality no phone reaches the DZ
And the developement for the mytouch is, well, not dead, but very little (guess there are 3 ppl who can port and 1 or 2 who really can build a ROM, yet no one who can port/build sense ROMs :/ )

Yea, I'd love to see a QWERTY keyboarded version of an HTC One - however I seem to remember reading somewhere that HTC has tossed in the towel on QWERTY keyboard phones...
Yah, Still going strong with DZ, And i wouldn't want HTC one with qwerty, unless it also gets removable battery and a memorycard slot. Right now the only upcoming and current phones I'm interested in is the Jolla, and maybe Adaia. Then there is ubuntu edge, that's not going to happen imo.
But Adaia is probably going to be too much on the expensive, in the woods type of a phone with hot swappable batteries, and satellite phone capabilities, running android. And no idea if there will be a hw qwerty.
Really interested in Jolla and Sailfish tough, with better multitasking, since on android only some apps have it. (you can't leave youtube video running in the background when checking mail or something) Also was hoping for a "the other half" with an slide out qwerty, but since looks like the back is only using nfc, and doesn't have a physical connector, it would have to be nfc qwerty with its own battery.
Then there is Samsung note series, my dad got a note 2. It's pretty big, but the stylus is great, somewhat interested in a phone with proper stylus. But i dont like the front button layout on the galaxy line, why mix capacitive and a physical button, its just, eeew.
Also read about a new samsung android FLIP phone with hw dumbphone keypad, and dual screens, could be good. Even Apple added dumbphone on screen keypad on the latest iOS, since turns out lot of ppl prefer it, and can type faster on it, than a qwerty.
Pics of this just popped up on engadget: http://www.engadget.com/2013/08/04/samsung-galaxy-folder-live-photos/
Anyway for now, Jolla is my number one choice for my next phone. Definately if they come up with a qwerty back cover for it.
It would be amazing if someone made a phone comparable to the G2. But I have a feeling no one is going to release a high quality QWERTY phone ever again as there is so little demand (except for us!), such a shame.
Giving up the ghost next month and going with the S3 and buying a sliding keyboard case as an attachment.

I imported a Galaxy S Relay 4G from U.S.
Snappy 4-row QWERTY keyboard, Jelly Bean, 1.4 GHz dual-core Snapdragon. Only letdowns are the WVGA pentile display and 5 megapixel camera which are definitely not high-end.
Compatible with GSM networks after unlocking and has fairly stable CM10.1 port if you absolutely hate TouchWiz. Here's video review to see the phone in action.

It wouldnt make sense to release a CDMA only version. The development and production costs would outweigh their gainings.
I am troubled though about both a europe and a US version. Did the Droid 4 get released in europe?
