Do you think that exists something like this for our GNex? Can you help me to find something alike? [sorry for bad english ]
Yes they do make one but it does not attach like that. It's blue tooth and costs a whopping 60 bucks. But if you're still interested I can find the link for you.

I just found a cheap bt-kb but I'd like to have a slide kb
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus
If you didn't mind rigging it, you could just break off the edges to the iPhone one (i'm assuming it's generic bluetooth) and then glue it to a generic plastic case. You'd get the slide action at least.
I gave up on this a while ago, if anything they'd make something like this for the most standardized, popular, generic, whatever Android phone out there. So GalNex or GSIII....
The iPhone always has more cases than Android phones, because there's only one iPhone, and I hate that. Plus almost all if not all Android phones are not symmetrical and flat like the iPhone 4+ so something like a slide out keyboard would be...more difficult.

Actually... since we do have *the* Google Phone, you might draw enough support for a Kickstarter project. Charge people $50 or whatever, and get one designed and manufactured.
Take input from the Kickstarter crowd, then make it! No ****, this could be something, I mean if a load of people already do this on KS, why can't we for something we want?
I'm in no position to pursue this, but I'll be your first backer I think. =)

I can't really find anything. I think I'll kill the design with an iphone keyboard-case glued under a gnexus case
Google why u no make a nexus w/ physical keyboard?

I'M SERIOUS. This could work on Kickstarter, just not anyone could handle it, including myself.
No entrepreneurs out there tonight?

I don't know how to find someone that can do this on kickstarter
With the next nexus looming I'm not sure anybody is willing to take the risk to mass produce a product for a phone about to be phased out. Wouldn't even come out till mid-2013 if they started now.

There's hope for some kind of jury-rigged thing you could make yourself though. May even work if you have a holster and a thin enough bluetooth keyboard to clip in.
If I wind up ordering a BT keyboard I'll see what I can rig up.
I think I will try to merge a case and a kb when I will have the time to work...
I guess Kickstarting something would be a bit much. I look forward to seeing what you guys conjure up.
Don't forget that clearance is tight between the camera and the hump at the bottom, I don't know if that iPhone one will even fit...

Just FYI, we're holding a contest that may be relevant to your interests:

Good luck!
This IS relevant to my interests. Good looking out.
Cool contest. And its good to know that there is a guy that is printing custom ones. I've had some ideas running through my head that I was wondering if they could get done.
Thanks. Entered!
Can it be done with experiences of other devices too?
Can we by any chance buy one ourselves without competing?

Yes. Visit the GRUVER concepts link in the contest. It should be available for purchase there.
Edit: Here's the link: http://www.gruverdesigns.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=20
This contest discriminates against people like me who read instructions properly and therefore have never had a bad flashing experience!

It can if too much power is applied. In this case no. It just etches the surface.

The most important part is not the amount of power (or pulse energy) but the pulse duration (you use pulsed lasers for this kind of stuff). If the pulse duration is shorter or almost as short as the heat transfer duration between the atoms/molecules, melting is not a problem any more.
The pulse is "gone" before the heat can effect the nearby matter. You will get really sharp edges.
To win this would be awesome but I've never had any problems flashing anything so "unfortunately" I can't enter the competition, on the other hand I'm fortunate to never had any devices bricked!
great
Thanks for sharing, just bad when i read the others and see i was the daftest lol.
i know it shuts on the 23rd (i think) but when will the winner be announced? i can imagine it may take a while to read all the entrys lol,
Do you know if the cdma version will work on sprints version of the phone? Planning on getting mine sunday. Unfortunetly I can't think of any good stories that surpass those. But I do have my fair share since the days of winmo.

This is such a cool contest! I just submitted my story. Would be awesome to combine my just ordered GSM Galaxy Nexus with an XDA branded back cover!
Think you'll enjoy my short story about attempting to update my brand new Nexus One while hiding in the work bathroom and thinking I ruined the phone
Quick update for all who entered...
Just a quick update for all those who entered:
We received over a hundred contest entries, most of which were quite epic (perhaps even of the 4g variety)! Picking just 20 winners (10 GSM, 10 CDMA/LTE) was tough, so I added in 3 bonus winners who forgot to write in what type of Nexus they own, but still provided excellent stories. I will send those three an XDA-Developers T-Shirt instead.
Winners will be announced in an hour, at 11:30a Eastern time. At that point, I will shoot off PMs to the lucky few who had the most entertaining and spine-tingling stories asking for their mailing address.
Thank you to all those who participated in the contest. It's amazing how many crazy tales our mobile devices bring us!
Curious if anyone decided to make the switch from Gnex over to the iPhone 5.
Why?
Why bother? The GNexus has more features, more customizabilty, a modern OS, and is a proper improvement over the last Google phone.
Not me, that ios is just so exciting I'm not sure I could handle it!
No why would I? It's a downgrade + next Nexus is possibly around the corner.
No thanks next nexus out in less than 3mo

The only thing the iPhone 5 has that is a major improvement over the GN is the camera. Other than that, if you already have a GN, I don't see a major reason to jump to the new iPhone.

Not sure about wireless charging. Case connects to micro-usb port inside to activate touch pad like otg usb peripheral device. And it provides an external micro-usb port connection for charging.

How is this helping anything? Maybe this would be handy if you had no thumbs to reach the front of your device.. lol
If it an issue of not being able to reach spots of your Note2.. use Nova launcher and configure it with swipe actions to do things.
I agree.. redundant.
Plus.. do you see how HUGE this case is?? it adds a massive hunk of case below the phone. The pics are very cleverly making that somewhat transparent so it doesn't look like the phone is any bigger.. but damn.. that's HUGE.

But in all seriousness, you gotta agree this is one of the most original and innovative accessories we have seen for Note 2 so far. Also, making case longer has its advantage to lower your grip for index finger to have more room to control the pad. What I would add to this since micro-usb connection already in place, a built-in external battery and to offer a custom case with some bumper/lip protection.
I keep coming back to this to figure out what problem it solves. with one hand I can reach just about everywhere on the screen that I would under normal non-gaming solutions.
Just not the right product for me.
But if you only have 3 fingers or something, great idea!
For those who are curious, this is basically the answer to the Pantech Vega 6, a korean only phone. I'm sort of surprised something like this came out so soon for the Note II, here it is. You may see more similar stuff like this being common as phones get larger and larger.
here's a short ad for the pantech vega 6, but all in korean. http://youtu.be/QwYhG4E3iiY

Haha, I can't unsee that. I might be inclined to get one for this very reason, but I like having the cable closer to my ear, and the phone move less, especially when running. My forearms move much more than my upper arm, and I usually listen to mixes/playlists and rarely have to toggle things on the phone.

Element Case has some very sexy (and pricey) cases for iPhone and I'm hoping they decide to make one of their higher-end cases for our phones. Would you buy an equivalent style case (presuming similar cost) if one were available for your N5? I'd like to put together a friendly petition of sorts to encourage them to consider it--if we have some interest. I know these cases are pretty costly but they are very pretty.

I'd buy one in a heart beat!
I love my Android phones but have wanted a seriously nice phone/case for many years and NOBODY delivers that for android. There are so many super cool high end cases for iPhones and nothing for android. Even the makers of the cool high end iPhone cases seem to cheap out when they make a version for an Android phone!
In all honestly an iPhone will do what in *need* even without some of the blingy Android toys. I've considered switching just to an iPhone just to have some of the cooler accessories!
I would buy one for sure. Seeing how I already dropped and cracked one n5 screen from a very small drop( luckily I am a Sprint cellphone repair technician). I don't usually use a case because it takes away from the beauty of the phone. But a case like one of those above would indeed enhance the sleek style of the n5. !!--3 thumbs up--!!
