Fellow xda members, does anyone have any experience with an armband that will work well with our htc ones?
I like keeping my phone on me to track runs using the runkeeper app.
Thanks!

Is it any good? It looks like the top of the phone is exposed and not protected against sweat/rain ....

Haha, I can't unsee that. I might be inclined to get one for this very reason, but I like having the cable closer to my ear, and the phone move less, especially when running. My forearms move much more than my upper arm, and I usually listen to mixes/playlists and rarely have to toggle things on the phone.

This one actually sucks!! Holds your Captivate great for the first couple of weeks, then you have to wash it and let it dry and then re use it else it keeps falling off... I have the Car mount and it is a serious waste of money!
cool. but ill stick to a shoe box
Three words: business card holder. At work I use a plastic one for my phone. I know the dollar store has wire mesh ones, could easily cut up an old mouse pad or something for padding/non-slip.

I just got this one for my Wildfire: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.40122 and it's great. It looks good and the phone is easy to pick out of the pouch. It could be a bit tighter though, but all things considered it was $3.10 very well spent!
Tried buying the same one as bouvrie & Dvanen as it looked pretty basic and wasn't a case or a leather pouch which I really hate. Fits perfectly but I wish it could go into the case a little deeper as it sticks out a little, and for there to be a little more padding. But otherwise it's fine.
Wildfire waist pouch
Has anybody comes across waist pouch? Don't see much lately but will be good for tight fitting jeans.

Cool. I just tried with the paper clips I have at my desk, but they are way too small.
What is a "butterfly paperclip" ? Can you post a photo of one in its original form?
I'm thinking of either this one:

or the one with a longer arm:

I use this as portable stand

Don't see reasons to spend much. The cheaper stands are quite satisfactory.

I'm pretty sure that you can find it on ebay...but not the official samsung one.
But I'd have a doubt: is it comfortable to use? because to to use the phone as -ahem- a phone, the flip itsefl could be introusive, while the top-down approach is easier to use, for me...Do you agree?
looks cool! don't you have a pic with the phone on it? looks a little bit chunky
So every time you you want to check your phone or make a call you have to use two hand to open the cover?
A good matte screen cover and thin dual layer case does the job for me.

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus
If you didn't mind rigging it, you could just break off the edges to the iPhone one (i'm assuming it's generic bluetooth) and then glue it to a generic plastic case. You'd get the slide action at least.
I gave up on this a while ago, if anything they'd make something like this for the most standardized, popular, generic, whatever Android phone out there. So GalNex or GSIII....
The iPhone always has more cases than Android phones, because there's only one iPhone, and I hate that. Plus almost all if not all Android phones are not symmetrical and flat like the iPhone 4+ so something like a slide out keyboard would be...more difficult.

Actually... since we do have *the* Google Phone, you might draw enough support for a Kickstarter project. Charge people $50 or whatever, and get one designed and manufactured.
Take input from the Kickstarter crowd, then make it! No ****, this could be something, I mean if a load of people already do this on KS, why can't we for something we want?
I'm in no position to pursue this, but I'll be your first backer I think. =)

There's hope for some kind of jury-rigged thing you could make yourself though. May even work if you have a holster and a thin enough bluetooth keyboard to clip in.
If I wind up ordering a BT keyboard I'll see what I can rig up.
I think I will try to merge a case and a kb when I will have the time to work...
I guess Kickstarting something would be a bit much. I look forward to seeing what you guys conjure up.
Don't forget that clearance is tight between the camera and the hump at the bottom, I don't know if that iPhone one will even fit...
