What I have:
when lock screen enabled than sliders for answer/decline enabled.
when I install and enable WidgetLocker than stock sliders for answer/decline is out, I see only buttons.
But in february after wipe from custom recovery I installed [Froyo UK DeBlurred (1/02/2011)
. Sliders worked like in stock. But I wiped again, from stock recovery. After that I see many bugs like not working menu and search buttons and lock screen is gone, but sliders for answer/decline was still present! After that WidgetLocker was installed and activated. WidgetLocker working like lockscreen and stock sliders for answer working too.
How I can do this on another ROM? I want WidgetLocker for lockscreen and stock sliders for answer.
Well, I'm using the 34.4.9 update. I use Widget Locker and it shows the sliders for the calls just fine. I do love you can put any widgets you want on the lock screen and if you click them then home you bypass the need to unlock the phone entirely.
What you see on incoming call? Answer sliders or unlock sliders?
I see the answer slider and the ignore slider when I have an incoming call while using Widget Locker. I tested that when I posted that last message so I wouldn't feel stupid if it didn't work right.
I found it. Sliders are working only with "wakeup any button" disabled.
Hi all. I have similar problem with this sliders when lock screen is OFF. I want to have that GREEN "ANSWER" and RED "IGNORE" buttons but they stoped to show 2 weeks ago when screen is off.
@vitat
can you plesae explain where is that "wakeup any button" option on Defy, cose i can`t find that. TNX
Hello all,
I have a HTC One X with stock rom 1.28.
When screen is off and you press the Power Button, then naturally the lockscreen appears to prevent accidently pushing,... etc.
But you can still pull down the top menu bar and go to settings, or press any notification (if present).
Anyone has that too?? Is it a bug?
That's a feature of ICS; AOSP/cm9 ROMs do the same, it's normal.
Oh really? I dont see much of "feature" in it
I think I like MIUI lockscreen more, but hey, we can't have everything i guess
remember when in jellybean 4.1 when u touch the lock circle and swipe, google now, camera and lockscreen comes up? now on 4.2.1 only lock screen comes up.. how do i make google now, unlock, and camera come up again? now its only unlock. also when i put in a password i want the circle with the lock inside to come up then i slide, then i put in password. but when i turn it on, it asks for password and i dont like that. also the keyboard gesture typing is not working. i can see the trail but it makes no words! please help me! I'm not sure about the second question, but for the first:
You must have enabled custom lockscreen targets in settings -> rom control -> lock screen accidently, this removes google now and camera from the lockscreen, you can reset this by going to custom targets and pressing the reset button in the top-right corner
Good luck, Jake
Edit: for the third question, what's your input language?
Hi guys i would like to know if there is a way to unlock htc one x just by sliding on the three buttons on the screen. By the way im using viper x rom 3.4.2, i've noticed there is a slide2unlock feature in venom tweaks but it only wakes the display basically its like pressing the power button and it doesn't unlock the phone.
Some roms have swipe/slide to unlock which is what you're looking for rather than swipe to wake, which would probably be the kernel, I can't remember which ones though...If you have lyapota's mod you can set longpress home to unlock, if that's any use

it actually has an option slide2unlock but it only wakes the phone up and it doesn't unlock it, the phone behaves just like when i click on the power button, which is of no use.. It would be way cooler if i could just slide/swipe and unlock the phone
Go to lockscreen settings and select no lockscreen. (on AOSP it works like that)
One possibility is to rename /system/app/htclockscreen.apk (or similar) to htclockscreen.bak. That way the lockscreen should be gone but I don't know how it would affect receiving calls.
hi all,
i just found out a dusted HTC Desire...
the menu button was not working , and i havent tested the middle joistik before, i dont even know what it does or how it works....
i opened the smartphone, cleaned good the pieces (it was really dusted)....
now, the menu button do the same effect as pressing home + volume up at the same moment....
and the joistik button do the same as pressing the voulme down button....
what i can do? try clean it again better?
i dont feel like the menu button is completely dead :silly:
any ideas?
i want to clean up well the phone to give it to a friend and also power it up with a cool rom....
if , at the end, i will not repair the buttons, exist a rom that have virtual buttons (like nexuse)
thanks for all the help....
Not sure how to fix your hardware problems, but an alternative would be to user the navigation bar (soft keys) like on nexus devices. You will need a 4+ ROM to enable the navbar, but to easily control the size I would recommend the PA ROM in my signature. It allows you to change height/colour of the navbar easily, whereas in other ROMs you will need to flash stuff/make changes to the build prop to enable it.
