Best rom/kernel/mod/script threads aren't allowed on XDA.

Results from Undervolting?

What kind of results are you guys seeing from undervolting this phone? Are you seeing less heat and an increase in battery life? Thanks. I'm considering rooting my phone so I can improve these two areas.

Nice to see you posted in the DEV section!
Yes on both account.
I find that using a 1.2Ghz UV no OC with the voltages below work quite stably:
1150
1050
950
850
I don't see why it is so hard for people to follow the rules.... smh

Development section is for development only. If you need to go over and read the posting rules they are stickied up top. Questions belong in the Q&A section.......

How are you all undervolting? Does it require you to flash a custom ROM or kernel?

I need some opinions from the xda community, I'm trying to figure out which rom is both fast and stable, with good battery life. Which ROM do you guys prefer to use?

Sorry, but 'Best ROMs' are subjective, it depends on what you want and how it works on your phone. Best to try them yourself and make your own decision.

Rom?

Hey guys just got rooted and such here and I'm wondering now what the best rom and kernel would be for a medium use kinda guy like me
And being I'm on the Wind mobility network here in Canada is there anything I will need to do other then enter apn info

I prefer official cm10 + franco kernel. Smooth, bugless & great battery life.

There is no general best rom, only one that suits ones best likes. But whatever you do, make sure to check out CM and AOKP. And check out franco and lean kernel. Franco has a cool app

There's no best rom; there's wrong forums to ask for it and this is one of them.

Check the General or Q&A sections, there have been so many variations of this question asked over and over in there. This isn't the right section to have this redundant discussion again anyways.
Please post questions in the Q&A section. Development section is only for developers to post their work.
Also, I know you may have not seen this, but this is how we treat the best rom threads.
Thank you. :highfive:

you should read the threads and decide yourself reading user reviews and stuff and best option is to try yourself, new phone go start flashing all of them
my opinion - as of now all roms are doing great all are smooth, personal favourites - paranoid android and rasbeanjelly, combine it with ak kernel your phone will fly
Thread closed as its a Best ROM thread.

Which Kernel? :)

Hey guys
I wanted to ask you which kernel you are using.
And what you think which is the beste regarding to stability smoothness and battery life. If anyone is able pls write the advantages and disadvantages of the kernels down.
Thanks in advance

Using Franco Kernel. I like the color tuning.
If you want the of the 3 Worlds, stay at stock kernel

"Best" kernel/rom/etc threads are not allowed on XDA, as such topics are purely subjective.
What may be best for one, may not be best for another
You'll have to try them out to know what's best for you.
